Hello friends, we all know that the Golden Temple is a Gurdwara, a place of worship for Sikhs, located in the city of Amritsar, Punjab, India. But did you know? This is also the largest free community kitchen in the world?? Open 24/7, year-round, this food hall feeds 100,000 people for free each day. And on religious holidays that number can double. Just one of these huge bowls is enough to feed around 10,000 people. But still, how do they manage to make free food daily for more than 1 lakh people? Hats off to the Golden Temple volunteers!! There are thousands of Sikh volunteers cooking and serving the food as well as cleaning after visitors finish eating. Each day, thousands of people from varied backgrounds come to The Golden Temple, sit on the floor and eat together as equals. All of the food served is vegetarian. And mind you, food is served around the clock to all visitors, regardless of faith, gender, nationality, or economic background. We had to wake up early at 4am to visit there bcuz there was so rush, then we went to take bath in the holy water of the golden temple and then after spending an hour in the queue it was our turn ...it was a very mesmerizing experience overall...

I have visited golden temple for 3 -4 times n food of langar is so tasty and healthy and also langar hall n kitchen is also very clean
