looking up ruffle blouse on Amazon pulls up tons of loliable blouses and some actual lolita blouses that fit almost any budget. and I find that thrift stores always have nice button up blouses that are pretty.
It's ok, you have no reason to be nervous(unless you think someone will physically hurt you or that your parents are going to kick you out). You should just wear whatever you want to and if anyone is mean about it then be strong. If someone thinks they can easily push you around (literally or metaphorically) then they will do just that. If they think that you someone they can't walk on then they won't even try(they make talk behind your back, but if something is worth saying then you say it to their face). If you don't feel strong then stay with friends because it's harder to push around a group of people than a individual. You could also fake it till you make it. At the end of the day It's more important that you make yourself happy than to try and please others, because they will never be pleased with what you do.
Everyone's style changes, mine changes every couple of days. Some days I like the edgy look, then I like the hipster look, the hippy look, pin up, preppy.
i feel like i cant be a lolita because i may be 20 but i look very young and short, no joke im 4'11... i can pass for a 14 year old so wearing these adorable outfits would probably make me look 12 and not in a good way :(
June Jara -.- Though you may look young, the way you carry yourself will do wonders for the way you are viewed while wearing it. As will makeup. Though the point is to look youthful, yet elegant.
June Jara -.- I can relate, I'm 18 and 4"08 and people often think that I am 15-16... maybe if you try more classic/ goth lolita, you could manage to look your age? That's what I do and it seems to work!
I wanna be a Gothic Lolita but my mom would never agree and my skincolour is like lightbrown and I've never seen any black people as a Gothic Lolita :'(
As a black, plus sized lolita who absolutely adores (and frequently prefers wearing) the gothic lolita style, I say go for it! Rock your frilly awesomess and fluff the haters out of your petticoats.
Im black....and oh my gosh i love my lolita dressess ........i love 💘 to coordinate my clothing by shopping at the thrift store in tx 25 cents on Wednesday...
For the parasols/Umbrellas, I actually found one in Target (USA obviously) for $14.99 in both black and white. They're quite plain, but they could easily be hand embroidered, embellished with fake flowers, etc by an intrepid creative person trying to be on budget.
I would suggest buying an OP rather than a JSK. When I bought my first lolita dress - JSK - it was pretty hard for me to match with the dress nicely. Maybe that was just me being unable to do proper coord (:D), but if you aren't very confident about your matching skills I think buying an OP is better choice :)
The only problem with starting with an OP, you have less options for coords. You don't want to wear the same outfit over and over again, but with JSKs you can mix and match colors and stuff.
Tiffany Knight I was just about to say that, yep :) Probably OPs are easier for the first coord but with a JSK you have ways more options and therefore you could safe a little money. :)
Duckie Indeed check out bodyline! theyre cheaper and good for starters, i have almost their black items lolz, ive never bought a lolita dress over $40 so far and have around 8 coords, they have bloomers to parasols!
Is the fanplusfriend hoop you're wearing comfortable? I'm thinking of joining the fashion and thought a hoop may be good for the summer because it's a bit too hot in the summer for lots of petticoats.
Um... Where did you get the stuff your wearing from (skirt, top...) I'm going as a creepy lolita doll for halloween but I've never wore lolita b4 and i think the outfit you have on would be perfect. I don't mean to copy I just want it to look good. Thank you.
If you want to go as a creepy doll this year, but don't want to spend a lot of money, my suggestion is bodyline. It's very cheap and they have some pretty dresses that can work well for Halloween.
That's iron gate from moi meme moitie. And i don't suggest doing a lolita costume. I know this is late but we've been trying to shake off our reputation as "living dolls" and people wearing costumes for a while. Lolita is not a costume in itself.
Good vid. :D I have one skirt and a petticoat in my closet, but am waiting to have enough funds for a good blouse. (It will have to be custom made, unfortunately, as will my first JSK.)
I love Lolita fashion so much. I'd get into it if I didn't mind the feeling of pressure on my waist, unfortunately I'm super sensitive so my fashion is just heavily inspired by the Lolita community :3
hey! i love your dresses! im pretty new to your channel so im sorry if im wrong but are you a gothic lolita? im a sweet lolita! (Im also new to lolita so im sorry if im wrong with definitions.) oh! and doesn't your name mean girl of porcelaine? sorry if im asking to many questions your just so cool!!!
Tolles Video!
I really love your videos, and they are really informative I have a question, if you don't mind?? How do you feel about plus sized lolita? Are they still As cute?
Thank you! :) Sure! I know a few plus sized lolitas and I think the're just as lovely as any other Lolita. I think if someone feels comfortable and likes what she/he's doing it doesn't matter what size, age, skintype, gender. ♥
+RengeNano The only thing that really matters, is making sure the clothing you buy fits comfortably on you. It may be harder to find lolita styles in your size, but perhaps if you begin sewing, or showing some reference pictures to a seamstress, that could work. :D The main thing is just making sure it fits right, and looks neat. That's all~ Too tight isn't any better than too loose.
I do not understand why high school students buy clothes and have their style me in high school I will not be able to buy all that stuff because I do not have pocket money please tell me how they do it 😂 is they’re parents buying all thats things for them ?! Pleas tell me my English is sooooo bad I’m soooo sorry
Hummm...humm... there are pretty much things to buy when starting with lolita, yep. And pretty much money to spend. But these are like the basics and the way to safe the most money and eventhough have a kinda "complete" lolita wardrobe. You're welcome :) ♥
Because Lolita is a very special kind of fashion. I also don't follow the 'rules' beause I want to be a little free in what I'm wearing. But by not following the rules/guide lines/what ever it's often not accepted as a "real" lolita in the community. ^^
Hmm well, I had been having a recovered eating disorder and already gained 10kg back then. It's nice that you worry but it's very rude to say to someone "go eat!!!". If you assume that they're ill you'll make it even worse by telling so, because people might not feel accepted and feel even worse about their bodies. It didn't affect me personally as I'm fully recovered - but I guess you can imagine how hard it would be for people who still are struggeling with their ED and get to hear something like that. So please next time you're concerned about somebodies health or assume that they are stucked in an ED tell them that you're worried but do not write such things that might insult them. (Or even strenghthen their behavior by seeing this kind of statement as an approval.) Well then - I'm gonna cook my noodles now, you definitely don't need to worry about me anymore. :P
I'm extremely jealous of the outfit you're wearing, it's gorgeous!
the meme revolution same
looking up ruffle blouse on Amazon pulls up tons of loliable blouses and some actual lolita blouses that fit almost any budget. and I find that thrift stores always have nice button up blouses that are pretty.
I'm 13 and nervous to wear my dress because I just got over my emo boy phase. I'm a girl now but yeah.
It's ok, you have no reason to be nervous(unless you think someone will physically hurt you or that your parents are going to kick you out). I hope you feel more comfortable with your style now. Just know it dosen't matter what you where as long as you are happy.
i feel like i cant be a lolita because i may be 20 but i look very young and short, no joke im 4'11... i can pass for a 14 year old so wearing these adorable outfits would probably make me look 12 and not in a good way :(
June Jara -.- Though you may look young, the way you carry yourself will do wonders for the way you are viewed while wearing it. As will makeup. Though the point is to look youthful, yet elegant.
Don't be afraid to wear what you want.
I'm super jealous of your height, I'm one of the strange girls that wants to be shorter than 5'3"... but just wear heels.
June Jara -.- I can relate, I'm 18 and 4"08 and people often think that I am 15-16... maybe if you try more classic/ goth lolita, you could manage to look your age? That's what I do and it seems to work!
OMG I'M 4.11 TOO!
I wanna be a Gothic Lolita but my mom would never agree and my skincolour is like lightbrown and I've never seen any black people as a Gothic Lolita :'(
DreamQueen Your skin colour shouldn't stop you from wearing what you want to wear! You can wear whatever you choose, regardless of skin colour.
I'm sure you'd rock it!
As a black, plus sized lolita who absolutely adores (and frequently prefers wearing) the gothic lolita style, I say go for it! Rock your frilly awesomess and fluff the haters out of your petticoats.
DreamQueen omg same I’m black but I’m still finna be a part time Lolita lol
Im black....and oh my gosh i love my lolita dressess ........i love 💘 to coordinate my clothing by shopping at the thrift store in tx 25 cents on Wednesday...
OMG, that ending was adorable.

Same though
These dresses are so cute.
Omg where did she get the dress she's wearing in the video! It's gorgeous!
Crystal Jones this is late, but i think it's iron gate by moi meme moitie. That kind of brand can set you back hundreds of dollars though.
For the parasols/Umbrellas, I actually found one in Target (USA obviously) for $14.99 in both black and white. They're quite plain, but they could easily be hand embroidered, embellished with fake flowers, etc by an intrepid creative person trying to be on budget.
OMG I live in Germany as well {cologne to be exact!} I love this video!

You are absolutely lovely 🖤 And thank you so much for making this video

Danke, das freut mich so zu hören! ♥
I really wanna get into Lolita but I'm a guy and kinda scared about how I'll look, cuz I feel like I'm gonna look terrible
Lolita is not exclusive for any gender. If you feel like wearing it - wear it. I'm sure you will look gorgeous. :)
*cough cough* JUST NOTICED THIS. WE HAVE THE SAME POSTER ACCEPT MINES SMALLER AND IT CHANGES TO HARRY AT CERTAIN ANGLES
which moi meme moitie jsk are you using? *-* (sorry my english sucks TuT)
she's wearing "iron gate" :)
I really like your videos, but the background musik is always quite loud and thats kind of distracting :)
I'm pretty young so I would have to ask my parents for outfits but we are really poor so we can't afford it what do I do
I really love your videos, and they are really informative
I have a question, if you don't mind??

You're welcome :) ♥
welcomes. but i perfer to "lolita" my way :)
yeah sure, everyone has to find their own way. This is just for these ones who want to have like a guideline
why does life, and Lolita need guide lines?" that some kinda "rule "? oh right .. Lolita has rules lolz @_@
