Learning that you're only 16 really boosted my confidence eheh...I'm only 15 myself..I absolutely adore Lolita! Now I've gotta work on this job thing....
when I told my mom I wanted to be lolita, she told me "well, what's that?" I explained it to her,and that it has nothing to do with the film or book her reaction was,"I'm fine with this, its a lot better than crop tops and booty shorts." and I'm so happy she approved ^_^ I'm only 12 but still.... WOOHOOOOO!!!!
You're so lucky! I've been wanting to wear lolita sinse I was in 11, and now I'm 12, nearly 13. My parents don't care if I do girly stuff, just not skin showing or anything that stands out too much, and my sister really doesn't give a hot crap, as she wants to be the sort of darker goth person. I will say my mom is more accepting about what I like then what my sister likes in fashion, but she thinks the accessories are stupid and that I will get too hot or cold or whatever but I don't feel like dressing to the norm. But when I do wear stuff that's cute and stuff that I like, then some of the people around me make fun of me.
I’ve been into lolita since I was 12 but I’m almost 16 now and my parents still hate it and won’t let me wear it 😭 but I own sugary carnival and a bodyline dress and my parents only let me wear them for certain occasions but I’m so happy for all of you guys!!
This was awesome. I've been lolita for about 8 years now. I wore it to prom too when I graduated. I can relate so much because I was super anti-pink, hardcore rock, baggy t-shirts and jeans with converse. I'm still that way and gothic, but when I saw lolita- I died. Everyone freaked out when I wanted something pink, when I wore the 1 skirt I owned, etc. I make vids too and I think I'll share my experience. I really wanted to chime in with a lot of what you were saying.
I live up in the Scottish Highlands - sparsely populated, with, until about a year ago, 3 Lolitas - including me - for hundreds of miles. We started up a little community, organised by one of my friends, and now there's 8 of us as other girls who didn't wear Lolita out and about much, or who lived in a tiny village somewhere, found out that they weren't the only ones north of Edinburgh or Aberdeen. For those who don't have a community, and are confident enough, try starting one; it could suddenly mean that all the people who were too nervous to wear Lolita or really connect with anyone through Lolita, suddenly start appearing.
You're the person who got me into Lolita so I just wanted to thank you! I dont know too much about it yet and I wanted to start small so I only have a few outfits and accessories but Lolita helps me to be more confident when facing the world and im so glad I found your videos that introduced me to this wonderful lifestyle. Thanks to you also, ive been able to avoid becoming an Ita Lolita. I still have lots to learn but im getting there. I hope to be as good/successful a lolita as you are someday
Carrie Gueterna That is so lovely to hear! Everyone has to start somewhere, don't worry about it- when I started out I only had an Anna House JSK and literally no blouse or anything to go with it for like a year and I still wore it out sooo badly. You're always welcome to ask questions along your path of Lolitaness if you want advice~
Thank you so much for offering advice and making me feel a bit better about the fact I don't really own any brand yet. ill try not to spam you with questions though!
I'm turning 12 soon and i wear a lot of different J-fashion and stuff like that... My teacher thinks i'm "oh so cute" and loves that i dress that way. She asked me on a little meeting We Have twice a year, "what does guys and girls in your class think of you dressing that way?" And i answered... "They tell me that i look like a witch, that i'm ugly and that i don't know How to dress, that i dress like an Disney princess" And then she got mad... And now i'm gonna tell the intire 6th grade about this wonderful thing called J-fashion/harajuku-fashion... Yaaaay~ -_-' Tomorow i'm gonna walk to school wearing decora or something... And i AM scared... But i still think that it's flippin' retarded that i Am scared... If it was a nice, and good class and shiss... I wouldn't be scared. Thank you for Reading...
my parents dont support me...they think its not "adult" or too "childish" and I wont have "normal" friends... but I want to dress in lolita fashion so badly I have already ordered so many headband bows I love bows
@@tarabecker77 absolutely does. It stopped me from enjoying this fashion years ago. But now I'm 27 and can do what ever sparks joy in me aka I can finally live my frilly dreams.
Hey Jillian, my friend seems to have this misconception about lolita, she keeps relating it to the book Lolita, and saying its slightly creepy, cos she thinks its adults dressing up like victorian children. How do I explain to her that the fashion is not creepy in any way, cos she seems to be completly adamant?
I've been hoping to buy my first Lolita dress, but my mum doesn't like the fashion at all. She said its dressing like a ten year old, and truthfully I would be weary of having it on in public ( the "lovely" lads in track suits may fancy giving their opinion- also people stare). Thanks for the advice 😊 I'm kinda torn though between tartan skirts with leather jackets or big poofy dresses. Although, now I'm just getting to the f*** it stage and I think I'm going to have ALL THE THINGS
Haha, I have to agree! I live in an area where there are quite a few, um... Close minded people, that think anything that isn't New Look, fake Michael Kors, Nike, or a tracksuit isn't okay, so wearing lolita just takes the cake! You just have to ignore them though tbh, don't let them ruin something you enjoy.
Erin Dowling sorry to jump into such an old conversation but I too have chavs living in my area, I hope you've branched out for your fashion. I'm not Lolita but I wear things that are seen 'out of the ordinary' and a few people look at me a bit weird but I've just learnt to ignore them and not give a shit, hope you guys have as well ❤️
ur only 16 oh my god i just this is really reassuring im only like 15 and ur already a goddess im so happy my parents are so worried that im too young to wear something so out there but im overjoyed that such a star like you is around my age ;w;
I live in a community thats if you don't dress like everyone else you will be bullied until you cry but after this video I just don't care if I get picked on and I am going to be a Lolita 😊
Ahh, there's nothing I love more than discovering adorable Lolitas via Confidence videos! I've been 'researching'/sighing wistfully at Lolita fashion for roughly...7 years. I only just started wearing it though and I've found that it has boosted my confidence like nothing else! I've always had serious self-esteem issues and surprisingly I'm far less worried about others when I wear Lolita. It makes me feel powerful, honestly. The feeling of looking so cute when I've never considered myself cute almost completely blocks out the nasty comments. (Which are few and far less than the positive ones.) I'm quite happy to say that Lolita's helping me with self-esteem every single day~ Anyway, this was wonderful advice and it's gained you a new subscriber.
Your video always make me smile ^_^ I totally understand when no one to talk about your interested. I've been there once 8'3 ('Somehow', all my classmate in high school don't know anything about manga or anime OTL Which really make me feel like I'm all alone.) Anyway keep up good work! I really really love to watch your videos! ( this will sounds a bit creepy, but I watched all your vids twice or maybe third time now LOL.... / slap )
I am currently building my first coord and while my husband is supportive, he doesn't "get" it. In Houston the meetup groups aren't very active. You're giving me the confidence to just wear stuff out on the weekend and whatnot!! Thanks for being you!
My mom doesn't care what I dress in as long as it's not slutty stuff lol but I got to wigs already I am still waiting for them to get to my house but I also bought a bunch of Japanese candy and I am going to make a video about all that stuff and I was hoping that when I do you would watch the videos?
You have got to be the biggest inspiration in finding my confidence to wear lolita. I've never indulged in alternative fashions because I would always try to fit in, but now that I'm in college I've gotten to the point where I want to do what makes me happy. So thank you for all the funny, adorable, inspirational videos that help brighten my day!
Your videos are the absolute cutest! Ive been a viewer and subscriber basically since your first video. I'm not Lolita personally, but I super enjoy watching your content - it's such a great way to learn about a whole culture and lifestyle! I'm 17 too, so seeing someone my own age take the initiative and commit themselves to a lifestyle and fashion is so amazing. Love you, love your videos, love your style! ❤️
I just recently got interest in Lolita fashion. is it wrong for a guy whos 26 wanting to get into Lolita fashion? :( I live in Cali n don't have any Lolita friends. I'm very interested in it. p.s ur my new favorite RUclipsr. :) your inspiring me to become a Lolita. I highly appreciate it.
I just found out about Lolita a couple of days ago and I've been researching and everything and I'm in love. And knowing that you're younger(I'm 15) makes it a bit easier. I know my family won't mind too much(they're used to my weirdness(my hair is crazy pink)). The only thing I'm afraid of is the people in my school freaking out about it and...making fun of me. It's...scary
+Hunter Dumas you know maybe there will be people who will appreciate lolita even at school :-) i mean, of course there are a looot of people who only criticize styles/things in general that are "weird" for them but there aren't only that kind of people, supportive ones do exist too ;-)
i had a similar experience, I was very into black and emo punk styles so my parents were a bit relieved when i started to go towards the girly side, I started by introducing lots of pink items into my life, I had a few things will hello kitty on then I expanded. I'm not actually lolita but I switched from very boyish clothes to very feminine, and sparkly things. I did it gradually so it was less noticeable and it gives people around you time to adapt.
I have a very difficult family so anything new i bring in my mother treats me quite rudely but you've really helped me get a boost and i wanna finally try after a year of waiting. I really wanna finally see myself as beautiful no matter what she says.
I'm not a lolita, but I love your videos! I think these kinds of videos are particularly important for this kind of fashion. I often wear Japanese hime-gyaru style blouses and dresses and occasionally more fairy-kei inspired clothing, and sometimes feel a bit strange, but mostly I just feel great and love checking out the online community!
i live in america..and how am i suppose to go out wearing lolita? i love the style but people will look at me weird..and probaly think im weird and stare, but not in a good way..and i really wish i could dress like lolita and everything, but people dont understand....so what should i do?
Can you please make an video talking about how to start the Lolita style? Right now my style is inbetween hipster and grunge (I call it hunge) and I want to start and I have no clue. Plus with me the whole coming out thing isn't something I would be afraid off its more that I don't know what the "starter pieces " are and how to learn all of the terms.
I'm still pretty new to Lolita but the first time I ever wore a full OTT outfit was for Halloween (as a doll) which let me wear it without ridicule. You may not like it being called a costume but I just felt great all day!
I've been obsessively researching Lolita lately and I got excited when you said you were in the maritimes. The ladies in the NS community were nice enough to let me into their local facebook group for my city. They seem nice.
I just started watching your videos this past week and I love your videos. I have never had many people to support me in my life and I have autism.. This video has helped me gain confidence in my daily life that I have never felt before. I think I am ready to make my first coord just because you have inspired me. Thank you Jillian. You are amazing! Keep making videos. ♥
This is the first video of her in lolita that I've seen. I'm used to seeing her in party-kei. Holy crap, she looks so freakin' different. I mean, she looks great in both fashions, but I'm used to the rainbow hair. I was like "that's Pixie?" really loud too, lol. And OMG, the punky- alternative picks? Looks awesome, but I so did not expect that!
Im 13/14 (I don't wanna say my exact age), and I am really into lolita, my mom has let me buy wigs, and I showed her the 600 dollars in JSKs I wanted, and she was going to get me about 200 dollars worth, and I am really happy because my family has been so supportive, and this just gave me more of a reason to dress how I want.
I love lolita fashion. I tried it a few years ago, but I realised it wasn't realy for me. I still love it though! It's very pretty and it makes you smile! ^^
Even though I'm a boy - Canadian, woo lol - I look like a girl. I have long hair and I always dressed like a girl, but I have no desire to change my sex. Lolita has made me comfortable, but i do get a lot of looks and shit. My family is against it, but I argue that my happiness matters more than what I wear.
Thank for making this video - I think what you are discussing is vitally important. On thinking about what you said, I think much of it is equally valid even without the lolita topic! Everyone needs to feel honest self-expression in their wardrobe, everyone needs someone to confide in, everyone needs a "tribe", and everyone needs to be prepared to ignore folks who are down on their choices. You are wise and generous! Merci beaucoup!
This video would be great for anyone starting out in any alternative fashion. Im just starting out in pastel goth (all of my things should be here in the next month and im soo excited!) and this really helped me alot. Thank you.
Thank you so much for making this video; it echoed a lot of what I and my friends have gone through while becoming Lolitas. Additional Long-winded Thoughts; Really consider which sub-style fits your personality. I've known quite a few people who started out in one sub-style of Lolita because they thought it was the style they were "suppose" to be in. Sometimes when people go into different fashions they want to totally re-invent themselves but often going into a new fashion involves weaving your past appearance into the new look. Sometimes a certain look can really catch your eye but in reality you end up really uncomfortable wearing it. My non-Lolita look has almost always been sort of a quiet Mori girl (over-sized sweaters, faded forest colors) / 1800s prairie homesteader (Calico dresses with fitted bodices and flared, flat hanging skirts) look; so when I got into Lolita my first impulse was to go Casual Sweet Lolita... Which I loved the look of, in theory, but I didn't feel like myself. It felt like I was putting on an outfit that was over-thought out and didn't match how I felt on the inside. I felt more subdue and somber yet I appeared super cheery, spunky and kawaii. By my second Lolita order I went for Sweet / Classic and from there I've ordered mostly only classic; and I feel exactly the way I look now. So even though your first impulse might be spot-on; do take a little time to think it out / feel it out before you go shopping nuts. I'm really happy to have figured out what kind of Lolita I am comfortable with being because that gives me the confidence to really invest in my hobby.
Another fantastic segment! ♥ So, quick question! Would you ever consider doing a video on Lolita terminology? I know there are already a few out there but it would be interesting to see your take on it. Thanks!
!!! This was so super helpful uwu Thanks for making this video I really hope I can try lolita fashion! You get this a lot but you really are an idol of lolita fashion to me, especially being around the same age as myself it makes me feel like lolita is a definite possibility c:
oh my god this was so inspiring! I'm really into gothic fashion since a few years and now I really feel like buying a black lolita dress and stuff but I'm still a bit insecure but I really really want it it's a kinda struggle cuz I really want to be a black princess but still a elegant vampire goth thingy but I'm scared ppl wont take me serious when I dress up like a doll.
You're so sweet and your video it's so positive. I'm a new lolita and the first time i wear it (a friend lend to me) i felt so pretty (weird, because my style before swing between gothic and hippie, and i was not used to wear sweet clothing). For me lolita is a way to feel pretty and cute, two things i didn't felt since i was really little. It's a side of me i didn't show often and i didn't knew i was missing it, until i discover lolita. I'm glad that people like you are sending such a nice message for the starters (and your message serves too for other styles that are unusual). Thank you for your video
i know this video is v old but i just wanted to say, my mother is very conservative and she loves lolita fashion!! especially since it's modest and pretty, she'd much, much rather me wear lolita fashion than showy, low-cut clothing (and like, crop tops, bustiers, and shorts are fine to her. just stuff like skirts that just barely cover your behind without wearing bloomers or anything, that's what i mean). :)
Oh my gosh, so you are or are about seventeen now. You are so amazing! I'm twenty-two, turning twenty-three this year and it feels pretty awesome to have someone who is younger that is such an inspiration to me. Thank you!~
You are so adorable! Great advice. I used to be obsessed with lolita, but I was shot down when I was younger... Now, I'm getting into pastel goth and I'm going to experiment with some lolita! My daughter (2.5yo) LOVES kawaii fashion, especially decora and lolita, but her core is pastel goth! 💚
I started wearing lolita but I have a slight problem. Everyone in my community (which is rather small to begin with) are over 30 years old. Being a freshman in highschool, this makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. But without having a place to wear it, I didn't really see a point in continuing to spend money on it. I love lolita, but I don't know what to do! ;-; anyways I love your videos and you truly are inspiring
I wear different alternative styles (goth-loli, cyber-goth, Victorian goth etc.) but it's a risk going out every day. I've been insulted when I've just been wearing black (nothing particularly alternative) and assaulted for wearing goth stuff. My mum is supportive (she's a goth too) but she lives in a more welcoming area.
can i just say i absolutely love you! You just seem like the coolest person! i've been wanting to get into lolita so all your videos are super helpful!
i need advice: i seem to change my style all the time. I used to be hipster and right now im pastel goth. Recently ive been LOOOVVINNGG kawaii and sweet lolita things. but im scared to make the transition not because i will feel uncomfortable (Ive been wearing things out of the norm for a while) im more concerned about the price. sweet lolita clothing seems very pricey, and this is fine and all but im a university student so i dont have much money!! also im really scared that my style would change again after i invest in so many things!!
I'm starting lolita on my birthday this year, and hopefully I don't feel self- conscious about it because I live in West Virginia, and the area I live in isn't aware that this is a thing.. My mom is super accepting about this and thinks it's awesome but everyone I talk to thinks it's weird.. :( wish me luck!!
This was the sweetest video I've ever seen, you're so caring and sweet and beautiful ^u^ Your advice is by far the best I've seen and you present it in such an honest and true way, you're so inspiring and I'm so happy I discovered you! :D
This video was actually super Boosting, I am just starting out, Been a cosplayer in the Aus scene for about five years but... always people saw me as a super intense person... Hard core scary character. Kinda been hiding my super girly streak after being in the Military, it just felt inappropriate for me to be so super girly. Have been looking around for I don't even know, someone to just, speak my language and yours stood out for me, like actually like so much, Please keep up the good work. You're truly an inspiration.
When I found this video I was like "16 minutes?! No way!" But then you started talking. You're so charming and relatable. I am suscribing right now and checking your other videos. I'm so glad I found you.
I live in the Netherlands and it is just really hard to wear something different than the "normal" people cause they will judge you and I'm currently 14 (in 3 months 15) but I'm so shy... and if u just only wear a skirt with tights and a blouse people are already judging me can someone help?
I've been into lolita for ten years and I still got motivated by your video :D Milkyfawn and Peachie are adorable, but so you are in your very own way :3 thanks for your vid, I'm definately sharing it ;)
Hey I'm 17 too ^^ turning 18 in February, I have 1 body line cord and I have done fairy kei for a few years, then I was goth, then hip hop, now I want to get back into Lolita again. I'm just scared about school mainly
+Pixielocks Honestly, now that I've had more lolita experience, I can honestly say that I've met more people supportive of me being lesbian than me being a lolita! At least in my area.
i would love to dress in lolita but in my town just being scene will get you harassed, stalked, hit with objects, etc. it's a small town full off "swag" and farmers -_-.i hate it.
I want to join a community and i recently bought my first dress (merry sweet castle) but i think i'm too young for the community...because most people are like 24 or something and i am ten years younger and that would be very awkward i guess and maybe there would be an age gap... but on the other hand, we all share the same interests...but i don't know😞
I know this is a rather old video, and in one of your newer videos you said you don't necessarily label your fashion identity as exclusively Lolita anymore, but I have some questions because I'm starting out in Lolita myself. sooo I'm looking for my first coord and I found a very Hime AP OP that I love, in theory, I love looking at it. But I wear all black outfits usually, in a kind of glamour-goth way. I'm not sure I'm ready for a very ruffly lavender and black poofy dress. Should I start out with something classic or gothic in a more muted/dark color palette so I don't invest in a dress i'm not comfortable wearing yet.
I have always loved Lolita. And, of course, I wear baggy clothes. I want to tell my mom so much that I want to be a Lolita. She just brushes it of as a joke whenever I talk about Lolita dresses. I just want to sit down and have a conversation about it but I'm scared. Whenever I think about telling her, my heart races and I jut kinda shit down about it. So, this video really helped.
This video made me tear up ;-; thankyou for making these videos. I've really taken a great interest in lolita fashion and I'm working on trying to get my first coordinate together and this video gave me all the confidence I need to pursue my goals
Lexi Barron Awh, honey! *wipes away tears* I am so overjoyed to hear that. I hope you have a wonderful time putting together your first coordinate and I wish you lots of good luck and fluffy pettis
You have inspired me to take the next step toward Lolita.💕Because of you, I've become confidant enough to make my first Lolita dress.💖 Thank you, senpai!🌟💗
thanks for this info. but here in my country, it's not yet totally open to what lolita fashion is. it's true make me feel good, pretty and fashionable.
Dear Jillian, I wanna say you, Princess Peachy, and MilkyFawn are the ones who got me interested in Lolita fashion (so thanks!). I'm terrified of actually wearing Lolita and don't talk to my parents about it. I'm in middle school and am afraid to be judged. The one time I did tell my stepmom about it, she thought it would attract weird creepers and stuff. Also I don't know what to wear and how not to look like an ita. I really love you and your channel! Love, Lailah
Ohmygoodness. I've only recently watched one of your videos and I already love your whole presence. You seem really great to talk and really inspire me. I've already been into jfashion and worn some fairy kei fashion here and then for cons and going out with friends, so wearing lolita wasn't that much of a difference or at least I didn't think so. So many people gave compliments with a few bad impressions here and there, but omg I was having so much fun in my first meet up and unofficial first lolita outfit debut (I thrifited my outfit and it seemed lolita enough). POINT IS, I decided to watch this video to see if it would inspire me to wear lolita more and gosh did your video do the trick. It really helped me change my perspective on how I dress in lolita and I would just like to thank you! It reminded me how good I feel in the thought and reality of weating lolita :')
This video really gave me a boost of conference, now every time I go out and the people in my community laugh or say I'm stupid to wear this fashion I ignore. c: haters gonna hate~
I don't really care what people think of me I mean sometimes people give me weird looks when I wear Lolita clothes (which isn't all the time because I'm just starting dressing Lolita) but this video is very helpful
My dear friend is a TV star in her country, and she and I both share a love for lolita fashion. However, since the paparazzi is often criticizing her CASUAL clothes, she is afraid to wear any of her lolita at all. I will send her this video! Thank you for making it!
my friend introduced me to Lolita last year, I never really looked much into it until I found your youtube. does anyone have good websites to get Lolita dresses? or tips on starting out like what to have? ^_^
I believe that Jillian has a video on affording Lolita clothing on a budget, and another video on putting together a coordinate, and they're both big helps for beginner Lolitas (like me ^_^)~!
Hello! I wanted to ask a quick question about buying lolita fashion online. I'm really interested in starting to wear lolita, and of course I will have to order most of it online. When I hear about buying from certain sites, I often hear about using a shopping service and I don't think I fully understand what it is exactly... What does it do and will it effect how much I am spending in the end? Do all sites carrying lolita require it? Thank you and keep up the great work! I look forward to seeing your next video! :D
My dad absolutely doesn't get my interest in lolita fashion but he supports it all the way. :D I've held off on it for a long time because I was so self conscious about my body size (Plus size ^^) but recently I've decided "Forget it if I want to dress this way I will, if anyone says anything negative I'll just brush them off." I've done it once before with a very (poorly chosen) basic outfit that was steampunk inspired and I felt so cute and so confident so why not do it more often! WISH ME LUCK! :D
Okay let's get real here, I'm so jealous of YOU!!! I have one Lolita dress and I always see your amazing dresses but I can't afford them! But I'm still cute as crap like I wear sailor moon sweaters and cat leggings and stuff so I consider my self this kawaii! I'm very confident your so amazing and you inspired me to become a Lolita! Thank you! 🌺
I'm not new to lolita, but I still like to watch these kind of videos :) I had so much luck with my community too, they're all so sweet!! I made so many friends and got to do amazing things with them, it's just the best thing ever ♥ plus enjoying olita together of course! Also, when you said you'll always be jealous of Peachie for getting her subscribers by being her sweet self, I can tell you youtube recommended a video of yours to me lately and i watched it and thought "that girl is super cute and nice, I'm gonna sub and hope she makes more good things" - so it works for you too ;)
Learning that you're only 16 really boosted my confidence eheh...I'm only 15 myself..I absolutely adore Lolita! Now I've gotta work on this job thing....
Revie Eel I just turned 17, but it's all the same ; u ; The job thing really is important for the cash flow!
when I told my mom I wanted to be lolita, she told me "well, what's that?" I explained it to her,and that it has nothing to do with the film or book her reaction was,"I'm fine with this, its a lot better than crop tops and booty shorts." and I'm so happy she approved ^_^ I'm only 12 but still.... WOOHOOOOO!!!!
you guys are fucking stupid
@@divinedarkness5478 WHAT?! who???????????????????????????????????
I'm 11 and i haven't asked it yet but I think I will wait to ask
ive started wearing lolita at school and sometimes ppl r mean but i dont mind their just jealous i look so cute
DomesticatedGoth That is so so cute!
I know this is really REALLY old but.... updates?
I'm turning 12 soon and i wear a lot of different J-fashion and stuff like that...
My teacher thinks i'm "oh so cute" and loves that i dress that way.
She asked me on a little meeting We Have twice a year, "what does guys and girls in your class think of you dressing that way?" And i answered... "They tell me that i look like a witch, that i'm ugly and that i don't know How to dress, that i dress like an Disney princess"
And then she got mad... And now i'm gonna tell the intire 6th grade about this wonderful thing called J-fashion/harajuku-fashion... Yaaaay~ -_-'
Tomorow i'm gonna walk to school wearing decora or something...
Just do it😂I'd love to do it too
My parents are exactly like that. It really sucks :(
@@tarabecker77 absolutely does. It stopped me from enjoying this fashion years ago. But now I'm 27 and can do what ever sparks joy in me aka I can finally live my frilly dreams.
im not a girl (remember that not just girls wear lolita!!) , but i wear lolita and this really helped me thank you!!
4 years later and see how far she's come! Amazing then still amazing now!!! 💕💕💕
Nekomancer I love some where with no lolitas so I'm scared to try it
Have you heard about punk lolita? If you ever want to combine tartan skirts with poofy dresses.. ;) it's a thing!
Erin Dowling sorry to jump into such an old conversation but I too have chavs living in my area, I hope you've branched out for your fashion. I'm not Lolita but I wear things that are seen 'out of the ordinary' and a few people look at me a bit weird but I've just learnt to ignore them and not give a shit, hope you guys have as well ❤️
ur only 16 oh my god i just
this is really reassuring im only like 15 and ur already a goddess im so happy my parents are so worried that im too young to wear something so out there but im overjoyed that such a star like you is around my age ;w;
god i know omg ;_; it just gives me so much more confidence to know shes young like me its amazing
***** Yay I'm 15 too! I can't believe she's only 16 :) This has given me quite a lot of confidence (I've just ordered my first coordinate) :)
baby pixie is like so cute, like a Disney princess IRL 😍😍
I live in a community thats if you don't dress like everyone else you will be bullied until you cry but after this video I just don't care if I get picked on and I am going to be a Lolita 😊
same
I went on amazon today to check how much being a lolita would cost, but it was a lot cheaper than i thought! it made me encouraged to buy more of it
All these comments about people starting in lolita are so inspirational, thank youu💕💕
(Which are few and far less than the positive ones.) I'm quite happy to say that Lolita's helping me with self-esteem every single day~
Anyway, this was wonderful advice and it's gained you a new subscriber.
Your video always make me smile ^_^
I totally understand when no one to talk about your interested. I've been there once 8'3 ('Somehow', all my classmate in high school don't know anything about manga or anime OTL Which really make me feel like I'm all alone.)
Anyway keep up good work!
You are my new favorite Lolita RUclipsr. Love all of your videos and stuff that I've seen so far, and the attitude/message of them.
+Stevie Roder Not at all!! Guys can totally wear lolita, it's actually a thing called brolita lol but you can wear whatever you want :)
Pixielocks awwwww thanks so much for your reply I highly appreciate it. ☺
You should show your style evolution throughout the last couple of years !
I love how positive you are and such a good vibe you give off when youre talking about all of this!
I LOVED YOU when you said "she doesn't need to know".
i live in america..and how am i suppose to go out wearing lolita? i love the style but people will look at me weird..and probaly think im weird and stare, but not in a good way..and i really wish i could dress like lolita and everything, but people dont understand....so what should i do?
I've been hesitating over lolita for monthes, confidence was my exact problem so thank you for this video 😊it's definitely shed some light over this
I’m the same way. I dress alternative, no Mohawk though. But all of a sudden I saw Lolita and now I’ve been watching videos all week. It’s beautiful.
You are just so sweet, kind, and genuine. Your videos are such a joy to watch. 💕
I LOVE wearing lolita stuff. Makes me feel beautiful and like the princess I never got to be. THANK You 😊
Just so you know, I bought my first skirt and blouse from Anna House too, and because of you! Thanks so much!
Lucky! I'm the same age and I can't get one that is even $80 😭
I love lolita fashion. I tried it a few years ago, but I realised it wasn't realy for me. I still love it though! It's very pretty and it makes you smile! ^^
Du är överallt XD eller så är det jag som är det cx
Even though I'm a boy - Canadian, woo lol - I look like a girl. I have long hair and I always dressed like a girl, but I have no desire to change my sex. Lolita has made me comfortable, but i do get a lot of looks and shit. My family is against it, but I argue that my happiness matters more than what I wear.
Good for you! You deserve to feel amazing and I'm glad that you have such a positive attitude
Thank you.
You are beautiful
***** Troy, I never knew you felt this way! Could this... be the start of something new?
You're what I've been looking for :D
+Pixielocks I have a question can children like 6th or even 4th graders become lolitas? If so wear are some cheap places to get such small items?
Thanks!
Me too.
So, quick question! Would you ever consider doing a video on Lolita terminology? I know there are already a few out there but it would be interesting to see your take on it. Thanks!
!!! This was so super helpful uwu Thanks for making this video I really hope I can try lolita fashion! You get this a lot but you really are an idol of lolita fashion to me, especially being around the same age as myself it makes me feel like lolita is a definite possibility c:
i cannot believe people actually downvoted this. this is exactly what i needed to hear xxx
we are all n00bs when we start out with anything...
don't be afraid to be a n00b...we grow out of it eventually...
oh my god this was so inspiring!
I'm slowly starting lolita and I do get pretty nervous going out but this really helps, thank you!
Recently ive been LOOOVVINNGG kawaii and sweet lolita things. but im scared to make the transition not because i will feel uncomfortable (Ive been wearing things out of the norm for a while) im more concerned about the price. sweet lolita clothing seems very pricey, and this is fine and all but im a university student so i dont have much money!! also im really scared that my style would change again after i invest in so many things!!
you are my inspiration for my room, in just one day it has changed from dark to sweet pink and girly!!! I love you XO
I've been into lolita for ten years and I still got motivated by your video :D Milkyfawn and Peachie are adorable, but so you are in your very own way :3 thanks for your vid, I'm definately sharing it ;)
***** Awh, thank you so much! You are a star
Your pink Christmas tree is adorable. I'd love to get one like it for my youngest sister. Would it be possible to know where you purchased yours?
Hey I'm 17 too ^^ turning 18 in February, I have 1 body line cord and I have done fairy kei for a few years, then I was goth, then hip hop, now I want to get back into Lolita again. I'm just scared about school mainly
I watched so many coming out (as gay, bi, pan, trans, etc.) videos before I came out and this is just like them omg.
Elise Emory Mom, dad, I have something I've been meaning to tell you for a long time.
I'm... LOLITA.
+Pixielocks Honestly, now that I've had more lolita experience, I can honestly say that I've met more people supportive of me being lesbian than me being a lolita! At least in my area.
You sound so much like Anne Hathaway in the Princess Diaries - and you're gorgeous!
i would love to dress in lolita but in my town just being scene will get you harassed, stalked, hit with objects, etc. it's a small town full off "swag" and farmers -_-.i hate it.
I want to join a community and i recently bought my first dress (merry sweet castle) but i think i'm too young for the community...because most people are like 24 or something and i am ten years younger and that would be very awkward i guess and maybe there would be an age gap... but on the other hand, we all share the same interests...but i don't know😞
+Bluejay does stuff that's awesome!
Tiny Polkadot omg I'm only 13 I love princess dresses and cute pretty frilly things. (I'm having a candy ball for my birthday)
+Kandy Tooth so nice!
me too
I know this is a rather old video, and in one of your newer videos you said you don't necessarily label your fashion identity as exclusively Lolita anymore, but I have some questions because I'm starting out in Lolita myself. sooo I'm looking for my first coord and I found a very Hime AP OP that I love, in theory, I love looking at it.
This helped me so much because I'm new to all of this
Just wanted to say you are absolutely adorable and have great advice. ;w;
You have inspired me to take the next step toward Lolita.💕Because of you, I've become confidant enough to make my first Lolita dress.💖 Thank you, senpai!🌟💗
Thank you so much I wa so self conscious to tell people about my new choice especially when my clothing is always so casul
thanks for this info. but here in my country, it's not yet totally open to what lolita fashion is.
it's true make me feel good, pretty and fashionable.
Dear Jillian,
I wanna say you, Princess Peachy, and MilkyFawn are the ones who got me interested in Lolita fashion (so thanks!).
Love,
Lailah
Wow!! You come across as really sweet and knowledgeable for someone so young!! I'm inspired.
This video really gave me a boost of conference, now every time I go out and the people in my community laugh or say I'm stupid to wear this fashion I ignore. c: haters gonna hate~
Your beautiful and I love your christmas tree I'm not aloud to wear Lolita but when I'm a little older I'm going to wear it
My family okay with it and my friends. I tend to not worry of what people think about me.
I don't really care what people think of me I mean sometimes people give me weird looks when I wear Lolita clothes (which isn't all the time because I'm just starting dressing Lolita) but this video is very helpful
I showed my parents and they where like ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm it's very you
My dear friend is a TV star in her country, and she and I both share a love for lolita fashion.
You should do a room tour video!By the looks of it,your room is so cute and kawaii.By the way this video helped a lot
This helped a lot bc im just getting into lolita but haven't got my 1st cord yet but working on it
Okay let's get real here, I'm so jealous of YOU!!!
