Noctavispa should have a gmax form Imagine how terrifying it would be, it could have a colony as its lower abdomen with the pre-evolutions crawling around it.
I was thinking about the “eating honeypot ants” thing and how you dont want people to eat minimelo, but what if minimelo honey lollipops (they look like minimelo) are a popular treat in the mazah region?
Just like real insects! One of the big reasons why insects dominate the world is because so many of them have larvae and imago (adults) that take on completely different niches, and thus competition is less great
I like the overall idea for the evolutionary line overall I feel like chicatta is a bit out of place. While Minimelo and Noctavispa feed off of each other Chicatta plays a less direct supporting role. I think it would tie the line together better if Chicatta was based on a species of ant that farmed Aphids rather than leaf cutter ants. This way Chicatta would play a dual role as a farming and nursing ant. Since Minimelo is already designed without legs, and in real life ants will clip Aphid wings and carry them to different plants, it makes perfect sense. To tie it in even more I think that the line should take design inspiration from honey bees, specifically in regards to the concept of royal jelly. Royal jelly is produced specifically by nurse bees to be feed to the future Queen throughout it's maturity. So the idea would be that Minimelo are farmed by and feed Chicatta honeydew which they then use to produce Royal Jelly for Noctavispa who then go out to hunt for prey to feed Minimelo. A complete cycle.
Imagine how terrifying it would be to find a colony of these guys on route 1? Imagine turning the corner and you see a noctavispa abducting some trainer.
How would you get one if they're under watch by their final form? Would you sneak into the nest to get one Or would a few just get lost or wander off and the hive is like "Eh, we'll make more, no big deal" I imagine they'd be a bit of a rare Pokemon to find in a common route
@@ksoundkaiju9256 i don't think they'd be rare since there's a colony of them and regional bug pokemon aren't rare to encounter unless its the final evolution, but i feel like it will yake a long time for it to evolve kinda like grubbin to vicivolt or blipbug to orbeetle.
@@LacTose90 but it seems odd that the final form would let their food supply just wander freely about where anyone could catch it It could be like Ralts where it can be found very early but there needs to be some effort in terms of looking for it
@@ksoundkaiju9256 yeah but it just doesn't feel right to make it a rare encounter, but lets say it had a hidden ability to where depending on the berry or flower it can change it type it could be a bug/dragon, bug/fairy, or etc. That would make it worth a rare encounter
If this was actually revealed, I'd be really excited. Noctavispa has some pretty wicked stats, especially if it happened to learn sucker punch. 120 base attack adaptability sucker punch would be a monstrous priority move, especially for a fast pokemon that still gets outsped by some of the faster and frailer ones. Imagine a world with more than a handful of actually good bug type pokemon.
@@Draguardian I found it more interesting as Nintendo barely takes into account the real implications of carnivorous Pokémon In anycase, if it were the anime, James would have one and he would try to avoid it from eating him all the time just like victreebel. Nothing to be bothered about in tue slightest
Maybe a flower Pokémon based on the dahlia, Mexico’s National flower, you could even lean a little into the horror aspect of the minimelo line and make it a grass/ghost or grass/poison black dahlia that only they minimelo line can eat
it feels a little too human for a bug type; don't get me wrong, it is awesome, but i feel there is a disharmony on the typing and the picture (looks like a psychic mon than a bug/dark one, but the coolness meter still approves it)
I feel Bug Types are actually some of the most important pokemon in the game alongside the starters, early birds and others. Satoshi Tajiri, the creator of Pokemon, was inspired by his childhood past time of bug collecting for the franchise, so when you see those bug types and bug catcher trainers out there you are looking at Pokemon's roots.
It's truly crazy what one man's childhood passion turned into. One guy and his talented friends who were all passionate about videogames, who turned a self-published videogame news magazine into a small indie development company. They made seven games that no one played or remembered, and then they made Pokemon. I will defend Gen 1 to my dying breath. Not because it was the best (it isn't), but because of how unlikely it was to ever succeed. A game inspired by bug-catching? Yes, but also a game about exploration, discovery, and collection. ...And then also somehow battling, elemental typings, criminal organizations, and taking on the elite four to become the very best. And also with shockingly good level design, music, pacing. I never noticed any of the programming bugs in those games, but I still remember every song and every creature. This game had no right to be this good. But I'm glad.
@@Sleepy_Cabbage Or what if that grass type actually gets something out of it? Such as other pokemon eat it directly, but it attracts the bug type in order to have defenders.
Ok, this are the ideas some friends and I had a while ago when we were thinking about making a region based on México: 1.- A Chupacabra pokemon that evolves into a Nahual (dark type of course) 2.- Ghost type eeveelution (this pokemon could be the one who guide the souls of pokemon who died to the afterlife) and with the Aftermath ability. 3.- An Alebrije pokemon, it could be a new evolution for Dunsparce (he need some love) 4.- Two pseudo legendary pokemon, based on the eagle and snake we have in our flag 5.- Jaguar for the legendary pokemon 6.- A new shark pokemon that evolves in two different pokemon: the first is a hammerhead shark (water/steel, with the Lightning Rod ability) the second is based of the goblin shark (water/ghost, with the Intimidate ability) 7.- For the fossil pokemon, we thought about the monster of Aramberri or Mamuts, but the idea we like more was a fossil bug type with the amber theme. 8.- Swordfish pokemon (water/fight or water/steel with the Sheer force ability) 9.- A proper axolotl pokemon (That has to happen, perhaps a new evolution for Wooper) 10.- Dolphin pokemon (This also has to happen) 11.- A poison type duo, based of the gila monster (poison/fire) and a centipede (poison/dark) 12.- Regional forms for Maractus (grass/fire), Cacnea evo line (cacnea grass/fire and Cacturne dark/fire). And that all I remember right now. If I found more ideas I'm gonna write them
I disagree with you on number 2, that doesn't sound like a very eevee thing but that's just my opinion who knows what he'll do i completely agree with number 5 though if the legendary was a jaguar that'd be awesome, maybe we should be pushing this to the top
I’m a little sad you didn’t give Noctavispa a wicked stinger, considering that the tarantula hawk is famous for having one of the most painful stings in the insect kingdom.
The line is kind of the inverse of the tarantula hawkwasp. They start adorable and get dark, whereas the hawkwasp starts a sociopath and ends up an adorable sugar baby
Make it please lol and make it like a water bed expect the pillow is fill with sweet juice and at the side is a little place where you can put to straw to get the sweet stuff
I HAVE A SUGGESTION FOR A 2 STAGE DARK TYPE i actually had an idea for a pokemon you could make. Since there hasn't been a coyote pokemon, and since your Route 1 pokemon are based on a rabbit and a roadrunner, making a coyote pokemon that hunts them as prey would make the most sense. (like Tailow hunting Wurmple, or Heatmor going after Durant). For its typing, Dark seems like a great choice, but there are some type combinations you could go with. 1) Living in a desert based region, it could either be a Ground/Dark type because of how it adapted to the terrain 2) It could have dense fur & hunt in jagged rocky areas as a Rock/Dark type 3) It could absorb the sun's heat into its fur and hunt down & burn its prey as a Fire/Dark type It all depends on the direction you take. For the first stage, it'd be a baby coyote who's just a Dark type. And when it evolves, it'll gain a secondary type based on what prey you think it should hunt. If its prey is the Normal/Fairy type Laguna, then it'd become a Dark/Fire type to counter it's Fairy typing. However, if it instead hunts after Roadraptor's evolutionary line then it would either become a Dark/Ground or Dark/Rock type since the Ground typing makes it immune To Roadraptor's Electric attacks, while the Rock typing would give it an advantage against its Flying typing. But what would you go with if you used this idea?
I like this idea a lot! After doing a bit of research, the type changing based on prey makes sence because coyote's are known for being extremely versatile and adaptable. Plus as a fun fact, the coyote was seen as a respected figure in Mesoamerican cosmology
This is really nice! And I love that branched evolution kinda option here, it's pretty cool~ In-game it could be affected by what kinds of pokemon you fight when you're at X level, possibly, since that'd make more sense than holding an item. I guess there could be a specific item for those things though - or repurposed items, like the 'Feather' items
Being Mexican myself, I think a cool inspiration for a dark type could be the mythical creature known as Nahual, similar in concept to a werewolf of sorts; they're people who can transform into a specific animal usually with a beast like quality to them, they're often associated with dark magic and witchcraft, and a folkloric leyend that has survived for centuries. Love this series so far! I'm very excited to see a region based on my own home, keep up the good work!
@beni he did exactly what you requested! 😊 check out his vid about new dark type pokémon. I'm sure it was released a month ago and dude, it's super keeewl
I like it. Maybe it could transform based on some trigger, ideally one other than losing health since that's been done before. Maybe when it's hit with a condition. Something that your opponent theoretically wants to do, but that you can trigger yourself.
Now, this is a clever (and decidedly dark) evolution line. I like how you took three different insect species and made their biological functions mesh so well with each other.
Hey guys! I figured with the region you would need to have legendary Pokémon., so I read up a bit and found the Aztec myth of the “Water Beast”, “Ahuizotl”. It resembled a dog, with pointed ears and a long smooth body. It was said to have a black, clumpy fur. It had raccoon like paws. And it’s tail had a human hand at the end. If you wish to learn more, the video I am using is called, “Ahuizotl - The Water Beast (Aztec Mythology) It was made by Invicta. My thoughts on what you could do with it are vast but I have a good idea. I think it should retain its shaggy looks body, but it should have a fierce aura about it. Since it is the “Water Beast” it tends to remain in the depths of lakes and rivers, so I believe it’s typing should be Dark, Water. The dark type is due to the fact that it used to hunt humans that lived near lakes and rivers. Hope you see this, love all the videos😁👍❤️
Ahuizotl is generally seen as a rather small creature, no bigger than a normal wolf. As a mythical, I would agree it would work, but a legendary should have a more defined theme and should have importance to the region. If a water legendary is desired, I would suggest Cipactli, a terrifying Alligator-Spinosaur like monster with jaws all over its body, which represents the earth floating in primordial waters or chaos, and could easily have a secondary theme of hunger, which might tie into the comunication theme by showing its barrier to communication being its immense strength, hunger, and ferocity, despite its apparent intelligence as a ballancing force in the region.
I think another name for that is Xiucoatl, which I'm more familiar with, and it could provide a nice red vs blue aesthetic that has been consistent throughout the pokemon series.
I am back once again to suggest a ghost type line based off of the "zombies"/"demons" of the Tikal ruins, huge ancient ruins found all over central America, including Mexico. These demons/zombies (zombies meaning ghosts in this context) are very predatory by nature, notorious for attacking peoppe hunting for them. Could make for an amazingly designed aztecan warrior ghost, also it would be really really cool if it had a fighting type counter part that was like a "living" version
@@saminatemichael8843 ikr, itd be such a cool dungeon for the player to explore, lots of creepiness, hell could even have one of the legendary trio at the basement
@@jasonbertram4960 that sounds like a great idea. in my head, I could imagine the first evolution to be a kid looking ghost that does pranks on humans and pokémons but the later stages it looks more like an Aztec warrior. the first evolution is just going to be a ghost type but the later, in my opinion, should be something in the grass and ghost or ground and ghost type for later evolutions due to their closeness to nature ground might make more sense but who knows just my own ideas from your original pokémon. I also have an idea for their backstory. In the lines of an ancient people lived at these parts but suspiciously somehow disappeared, and these abandoned houses, relics and weird human looking Pokémon is all that is left of them. maybe some more information on later evolutions or backstory of the place this is just what I could come up with.
@@Gustronic i really like the sound of those ideas :) the fighting type mon that goes with it could also be remnants of that civilization, but they never died or anything, instead ghey could have gained the fairy typing and became more like demigod aztec warriors
@hood bean #2 i don't know if designing a ghost line off of humans, especially a specific group of people, is a good idea. maybe something with the ruins themselves? like some kind of brick piece that seems to move on its' own, that evolves into a bigger structure, maybe held together by ghostly magic and old vines?
Actually, I just looked this up myself. Bug types resist other bug types according to Serebii, so it would actually be just a normal damage modifier instead of a x2 weakness.
We *need* a flamingo pokemon. They miss in the games and ate native to Mexico. But not a water/flying fairy/flying. A fire or poison type (maby a fairy second typing) would be great. Since they live in vulcanic lakes. Deadly to most live, full of poisons, acids and bases (typical poison type) and hot, near boiling water(fire type). Maby give it crusted feet(what they sometines have) made of sulfur ?
If there’s going to be a flamingo Pokémon, maybe there could be some sort of shrimp Pokémon to go with it. It could be one of the low level fish Pokémon you can catch at the start, like Magicarp.
You can make a really bulky and slow dark-poison Pokémon based on the Gila Monster. It's one of the 2 poisonous lizards in the world and it's from Mexico. Btw I loved the bug types!
or maybe ir should stay as the gila monster and it's palet should be like yellow black and red and it's shiny should be white blue and green and i loved your idea
Also for the next Pokémon it should be a dark/ghost were the Pokémon is physically a coyote but it’s shadow is or mistaken for the “chupacabra” and it’s often used in stories to scare children.
"Oh and they all just so happen to fall into the same egg groups as: Spinark, Ariados, Joltek, Galvantula, Dewpider, and Araquanid......" Gives the whole concept of breeding a much darker look.
Jordan Olsen, venus fly traps, the plant carnavines are based, mostly feed on small flightless bugs, and paras is also in the plant egg group, guess why thats bad
When I was younger, I had a really cool idea for a bug that when it was in its second stage, it was in a solid rock cocoon with a large tail sticking out. It learned Poison tail, Dragon tail, Aqua tail and Iron Tail. Depending on the tail move it learned, or that's in its highest slot, it evolved into a different bug with a different type and ability.
Instead of suggesting a new pokemon type, I'm going to suggest a name for this fan game, I think we should move away from simply calling it "A hypothetical gen 9". I think it should have something like Pokemon: Seen and Pokemon: Heard. And it goes back to something brought up in the starter pokemon series you did. Communication barriers. There's a legend that the Yucatan peninsula (also the place where the Kt extinction event may have occurred) is named such because when European settlers moved there, they asked the locals what they called the place. The natives responded with what sounded like "Yucatan" which the settlers started calling it. But the natives where actually saying "I don't understand the question" So a theme of communication barriers could be worked into this games story-maybe something like the JLA: Tower of Babel story line. And give us some story-centric pyschic or fairy based pokemon that specialize in preventing the player and their pokemon form working together correctly.
Seen and Heard are past tenses, which bothers me, but I still enjoy the reasoning behind the name. I would suggest Sight and Sound, despite the name Sound not directly meaning hearing, as it rolls off of the tongue better.
While it is possible that "Yucatan" comes from "I don't understand you", it is far more likely that it comes from the people who lived in the area. Chontal Maya that called themselves "Yokot'an". Or even from the yuca plant that was harvested in the region. Conquistadors were assholes, but they weren't stupid.
Seeing a burrowing owl would be so cool! They are found in Central/South America so it works for the region, and I think it should be ground type (either mono or dual typing works!) Love the videos as always
“In other news today, trainers in the Unova region have noticed a sharp decline in the population of Joltik and Galvantula. This comes coincidentally with a report of strange never-seen-before bug Pokémon near Chargestone Cave where Joltik and Galvantula are normally found...”
okay this bug type is so freaking cool though. I love how the final stage is sort of hinted at with minimello never eating its own nectar, and all the designs are just so good i love it. Bug is my favorite type and you really did it justice here
@@jeztra4541 I'd say we combine both ideas in the replies and make an equivalent to Poison Touch but for Paralysis (which would be nasty with maybe a signature bug type move that has a 30% chance to paralyse)
This doesn’t really fall under any “route 1 flying type” staple kinda stuff, but I’d love to see an Armadillo fakemon. Could be a rock, kinda like golem w/ the rock design for the shell. Even go for a steel type w/ steel plates on the shell.
I would say that if these were real, they would probably rival scolipede and centiskorch for my favorite bug pokemon, your designs are amazing. Now if you're looking for a two stage dark-type, might I suggest the axolotl. Maybe include their namesake, Xolotl, twin brother of Quetzalcoatl, and god of monsters, disease, misfortune, and overall dark things. Dark-Water maybe? (While it might be a stretch, it would be interesting if the olm was incorporated in the line as it's pretty unique, but it's only found in Europe..so yeah)
COYOTE DARK/GROUND based on huehuecoyotl, the Azteca coyote god. He's a trickster deity, so live theivul in a way, minus the whole robin hood bit. Huehue could be the name of the first evolution, based on their laugh you can hear in the dark of the night as they stalk for prey. Not to eat, but to prank. They could be pack hunters and be little mischievous puppers with a laugh that haunts the farmers of the region in the night? Maybe the final stage could be a more deific version of the coyote, with brighter colors more reminiscent of the deity's art. They could be called Trucoyotl (truco: spanish for trick + Coyotl), and could have a feud of sorts with Quetzillian? IDK, I love Aztec myth and Huehuecoyotl is one of my favorites. I also think you should shove in a rainbow crow too. Just because.
This line already has the dark type, so maybe you could do something a little more unexpected and have a three stage normal type line with a secondary type like steel or poison to make the dex more diverse and unique
While I would agree with you, I think he's leaning more towards 2 stage pokemon like sneasel and houndour, pokemon that are already dark types from the beginning and just evolve into a stronger dark type.
You should make a trio just like black and whites “elemental monkey” but just a lot better😂. But actually they would be very good for helping trainers get type coverage early game
The question would be what animal they should be based on. The portrayal of the elemental monkeys were typical of pet monkeys in cartoons: cute and helpful. Therefore, some kind of useful cartoon pet.
1.That would be sort of weird because of how the starters have the art form themes and it would be weird if the games represented two of them but one would be missing 2. I think it’s too early to decide because of how the game’s names represent the legendary mascots which we haven’t made yet
The way you described a tarantula hawk wasp's life cycle makes it sound like those kids whose parents kept them from eating any candy, so when they finally grow up and are able to do their own thing in the world they get near instantly addicted to sugar
For the fish Pokemon in the region i would love to see a whale shark Pokemon *OR* (and preferably) a Pokemon based on the parrotfish family. It could have the vivillon treatment where there is a collection of different patterned parrotfish, eg rainbow parrotfish, midnight parrotfish, stoplight parrotfish, Queen parrotfish etc. Or it could have different formes depending on the area of the sea but they all have their own types so the midnight parrotfish could be water dark, Queen parrotfish could be water Psychic etc. I’d love to see what you could do with this idea Maybe they have some involvement with other Pokémon and wildlife which live in and around coral reef and some formes could be hostile while others contribute to their eco-system.
It’s a great idea but he will most likely do dark typing for the next video, so the next time he says water or ocean Pokémon make sure to say then cause I’d really love to see this idea
make a legendary that everyone but the natives of the region fear, because there's this weird connection between Halloween and dia del los muertos, even though the holidays only share a couple of days.
Could either be the inspiration for a legendary, or if he's going to go this route have it be the inanimate object pokemon of this region that is a sentient sugar skull much like klefki, comfey, and sinistea/polteageist
Honestly this is my favorite line of pokemon overall. I love how the ecosystem and behaviors of the line circle pack to one another. The whole line and the earlier explanation really pinpoints how pokemon does its evolution in a way I couldn't express before.
I've had this idea for a while now. A psychic monkey pokemon based on an alchemist that combines the juices of fruits and berries to create attacks and other substances. When it evolves, it "snaps" and gains the dark type, becoming almost like a mad scientist. The names i had planned were Erlenmarm and Alchemandrill, but these could be easily changed to fit the South American theme.
I said it last episode but I’ll say it again we need a coyote Pokémon to go along with the road runner it can follow the recent trend of two stage early dark Pokémon.
I’m seeing other people say stuff like this in the comments and I think it’s fine, but if you’re gonna suggest stuff like doing a certain Pokémon that fills in a certain role that’s common in other gens than you should give a suggestion of what it could be since some of them are not done in every generation and so if we don’t have a good idea for it we just shouldn’t do it
This is honestly my favourite series on RUclips right now! The thought that goes into each dental and the lore provided to the fakemon is outstanding!! Can’t wait to see the finished dex
This is one of my fave lines so far, I think you did a great job design wise and also linking them all together. I wish you'd kept the reddish brown throughout the line (instead of the blue in the last evo), as it would have unified them a bit more visually - the last evolution feels like an electric type, with the blue and yellow.
Overall, I love this line! However, I think that the middle evelution is a bit out of place. Maybe you can add the 3 dots to it's head to keep it consistiant throughout the whole line? I also think maybe some small wings/wingbuds on it to make the transition better? Maybe also make the abdomen bigger.
For the two stage dark type, I'd go with something like a coyote that evolves into a Chupacabra like pokemon. A nice nod to the origin of the Chupacabra myth: coyotes suffering from mange. If you wanted to go dual typing for the final form some ideas could be: Ground to represent the deserts it supposedly lives in, Fairy to represent its mythical origin (although this could be a bit too similar to Grimmsnarl), or Psychic, because some people have claimed the Chupacabra can hypnotise it's victims
Interesting how for once, the middle stage isn't a cocoon and is most likely a bit more practical in battle. Also like how you decided to fill in an unused type combo.
A dark ground type seems pretty cool, my idea is a Mexican mouse possum that steals food and burrows into the ground to get a way or stores it’s stolen food in the ground for later. In its next evolution it could take maybe a darker turn: forcing other Pokémon to steal for it (the other Pokémon using its vast tunnel systems to get around and steal food) while it sits in its burrow waiting for its food. Now not having to work it grows greedy and gets meaner thus the dark type
Reese Olsen yeah, I’m going for more of a manipulative Pokémon, possibly switching out ground for psychic so it can control other Pokémon. Though I like the ground typing and I think it should keep it
A conquistador representing an invasive species, which is a creature we see all over the place. Could be your 2 stage dark type. Also could pair interestingly worh gloster canaries that have "monk haircuts" Calling back to the "christianization" By spain
A 2 stage dark type Pokémon? Maybe a raccoon? Since they're nocturnal animals that can be associated with burglars? Or perhaps you could design a dog or coyote like Pokémon which looks like a Chupacabra, although you could save that one for a rare mythical Pokémon aswell since it's a cryptid.
Raccoon is good, but ZIgzagoon is based off of one, and it's a Route 1 Normal Type, making it pretty close to the 2-stage Dark type in terms of progression needed to encounter it. I do like the idea, though! And if it kept away from Zigzagoon's design, I could see it scraping by.
The whole Route 1 Bug info dump and especially the part that has “What kid would pick their level 3 caterpie over their level 10 charmander” makes me think of Arin from Game Grumps and Buntd, aka Beedrill aka *the best pokemon ever you guys*
I think something cool for the legendaries could be basing them of off the three different Aztec afterlifes (there are actually 4 but the last one is literally a titty-tree so I'm not sure if that would work) There's the Mictlan, a series of rivers and mountains that the dead would have to traverse to clean their souls and join the gods of the dead mictlantecuhtli and mictecacihuatl Then there's Tlalochan, the kingdom of the water God, where people who died sailing or at storms would go And lastly Tonatiuhichan where warriors and women who died in labor would have an eternal feast in the style of Valhalla. People also thought the spirits of these warriors would sometimes come back in the form of hummingbirds and birds of paradise.
@@color_of_twilight ohk I get what you mean and you have a nice point. I just meant like base them on easily domesticated first form pokes which can easily co-exist but their final forms are like enemies in a way.
when your so early they have not updated the pokedex: STONK Edit: when subjectively abandon the website and only use it for that one sponsored video: STINKS
I love this line's concept, and would definitely use it. It's really interesting, how even the final stage needs the first stage to survive. The Dark type is also very unique! I don't have that much to say, but I really think it's a great trio.
As with the bug/dark Pokémon, fire/grass also has not been done. I’ve always imagined it as a tiki Pokémon or a burning stump, burn this series has given me an idea. In Mexico there is a plant called bassia scoparia or otherwise known as the ‘burning bush’. This plant is one of several that create tumbleweeds. So my idea is a two stage with the first being a flaming tumbleweed and the second being a more rooted burning bush.
Considering most of the two stage dark types tend to be mammalian and we have very few reptiles as of yet you could look at the Fer-de-lance snake for inspiration. It's a venomous snake that is responsible for almost half of all snake bites in the Mexico. Could be a pure dark when it is in it's first stage, playing into the aggressive nervousness the species is known for and then Dark/Poison in it's second stage, really play up the venomous predator aspect of the animal.
Looking at this full evolution line, I got an idea on how this evolves: Minimelo evolves at Lv. 23 into Chicatta, and Chicatta evolves at night at Lv. 46 when it knows a Dark Type move
Whoa... don't ya think 46 is a bit high? Those level requirements are usually for pokemon like dragonite... ya know end game pokemon... or some of gen 5 pokemon. I would push it down to 30 at most and maybe 14 or 15 for Chicatta... that sounds fair for a route one bug type.
I mean there have been bugs that evolve super late. Usually it depends on how strong the Bug actually is. This is probably a bug that would evolve mid 30's But some like Larvesta do evolve super late
@@kingzekrom6399 well larvesta is a late game pokemon that evolves only once... and its a gen 5 most of those pokemon have really high evolution level requirements. Some pretty ridiculous in my opinion... seriously level 54 for vullaby?! That was the only reason I didn't compete the pokedex for that region...
ChrisBot [Chris Delia] 23 sounds maybe normal, a bit high for a bug type but passable. But level 46 and a dark move is a bit late game. Maybe level 33ish? Dottler evolves at level 30 but Noctavispa is a bit weaker, having a base stat total of 485, and Orbeetle has 515. What I would do is to evolve Minimelo at Lv. 25 to Chicatta, and have a dusk stone to evolve Chicatta into Noctavispa as it is the first Bug/Dark type Pokémon. You could in theory evolve them both in one level if you have a dusk stone.
What an amazing line, Minimelo is sooooo cute I could eat him right up lol and the final evo is sick and would definitely use him on my team, I wish the middle evo had a little more honey design as the first and last have a clear honey design
The lizard pokemon could be a Water-dragon Pokemon based off an Axolotl :> Or wait... Maybe a ghost type??? The wispy gills on axolotls could turn into mist or something :)
i feel like it would be fitting to have a regional variant of seviper. seviper, being a snake with something on its tail, would lend itself well to a rattlesnake design, which could maybe be poison/ground. to go along with this, there could be a normal/fighting variant of zangoose.
Dark pokemon line that can evolve in a "la llorona" (the crying woman) ispired pokemon ( *there's no Dark pokemon with water as secondary type* ) or "la planchada" ("the ironed lady") inspired pokemon ( *there's no Dark pokemon with steel or poison as secondary type* ), two famous ghosts in mexican folklore. Since there are lots of several examples in pokemon of different pokemon species connected with each other, for different motivations, like seviper/zangose (rivalry) or rattata/fearow (prey -predator relationship), could be ideal to make a grass line pokemon inspired by an hypothetical plant that has the nectar and leaves that minimelos and chicattas are crazy for
La Llorona would fit better as a Ghost/water type; plenty of ghost types are considered cynical and evil just look a the litwick line or the phantump line
Anjealous Anaconda Regional variant of Misdrevus that have a Regional Evolution that's based on La Llorona instead of a Witch/Wizard. Ghost/Water is a cool typing that I can get behind!
Noctavispa should have a gmax form
Imagine how terrifying it would be, it could have a colony as its lower abdomen with the pre-evolutions crawling around it.
Get this man to the top of the comments boys
Vespiquen's cousin
And Galvantulas with swirly eyes.
stop giving me nightmares
And it can hold an ariados or something
Since Noctavista drags the "prey" to the colony you now have to make a rivaling bug mon.
YOU ARE VERY CORRECT
Like a Psychic or Ghost Bug, you know, weak to Dark!
Maybe a spider with the bug/fighting type. (or bug/fairy)
Normal/Bug tarantula bug bc it's a spider, normal bc it's hairy. Hair based attacks like pin missle.
I was also thinking about this. A bug rivalry would be a cool idea

The pose of the final evolution gives off a lawful evil vibe.

it feels a little too human for a bug type; don't get me wrong, it is awesome, but i feel there is a disharmony on the typing and the picture (looks like a psychic mon than a bug/dark one, but the coolness meter still approves it)
I feel Bug Types are actually some of the most important pokemon in the game alongside the starters, early birds and others.

Ok, this are the ideas some friends and I had a while ago when we were thinking about making a region based on México:
1.- A Chupacabra pokemon that evolves into a Nahual (dark type of course)
2.- Ghost type eeveelution (this pokemon could be the one who guide the souls of pokemon who died to the afterlife) and with the Aftermath ability.
3.- An Alebrije pokemon, it could be a new evolution for Dunsparce (he need some love)
4.- Two pseudo legendary pokemon, based on the eagle and snake we have in our flag
5.- Jaguar for the legendary pokemon
6.- A new shark pokemon that evolves in two different pokemon: the first is a hammerhead shark (water/steel, with the Lightning Rod ability) the second is based of the goblin shark (water/ghost, with the Intimidate ability)
7.- For the fossil pokemon, we thought about the monster of Aramberri or Mamuts, but the idea we like more was a fossil bug type with the amber theme.
8.- Swordfish pokemon (water/fight or water/steel with the Sheer force ability)
9.- A proper axolotl pokemon (That has to happen, perhaps a new evolution for Wooper)
10.- Dolphin pokemon (This also has to happen)
11.- A poison type duo, based of the gila monster (poison/fire) and a centipede (poison/dark)
12.- Regional forms for Maractus (grass/fire), Cacnea evo line (cacnea grass/fire and Cacturne dark/fire).

I HAVE A SUGGESTION FOR A 2 STAGE DARK TYPE
i actually had an idea for a pokemon you could make.
1) Living in a desert based region, it could either be a Ground/Dark type because of how it adapted to the terrain
2) It could have dense fur & hunt in jagged rocky areas as a Rock/Dark type
3) It could absorb the sun's heat into its fur and hunt down & burn its prey as a Fire/Dark type
It all depends on the direction you take.
And I love that branched evolution kinda option here, it's pretty cool~
In-game it could be affected by what kinds of pokemon you fight when you're at X level, possibly, since that'd make more sense than holding an item. I guess there could be a specific item for those things though - or repurposed items, like the 'Feather' items
It also goes with the trope of two stage dog Pokémon like yamper, rockruff, and growlithe
Oh, that's a great idea!
And they all aspire to catch a roadraptor even though it has never happened
Being Mexican myself, I think a cool inspiration for a dark type could be the mythical creature known as Nahual, similar in concept to a werewolf of sorts; they're people who can transform into a specific animal usually with a beast like quality to them, they're often associated with dark magic and witchcraft, and a folkloric leyend that has survived for centuries. Love this series so far! I'm very excited to see a region based on my own home, keep up the good work!

If you wish to learn more, the video I am using is called, “Ahuizotl - The Water Beast (Aztec Mythology) It was
made by Invicta.
I was literally just going to write that omg
Sounds like a good legendary Pokemon
Ahuizotl is generally seen as a rather small creature, no bigger than a normal wolf. As a mythical, I would agree it would work, but a legendary should have a more defined theme and should have importance to the region. If a water legendary is desired, I would suggest Cipactli, a terrifying Alligator-Spinosaur like monster with jaws all over its body, which represents the earth floating in primordial waters or chaos, and could easily have a secondary theme of hunger, which might tie into the comunication theme by showing its barrier to communication being its immense strength, hunger, and ferocity, despite its apparent intelligence as a ballancing force in the region.
what if the second legendary was based on Xiuhtecuhtli the aztec god of lava heat and the day
I think another name for that is Xiucoatl, which I'm more familiar with, and it could provide a nice red vs blue aesthetic that has been consistent throughout the pokemon series.
That would be a fun ghost type! I love the Tikal ruins and their history. That would really add some depth to the pokemon as well as the region!

You deserve a job at Gamefreak designing Pokemon. This is phenomenal!
But the natives where actually saying "I don't understand the question"
So a theme of communication barriers could be worked into this games story-maybe something like the JLA: Tower of Babel story line. And give us some story-centric pyschic or fairy based pokemon that specialize in preventing the player and their pokemon form working together correctly.
That is an excellent big picture idea.
This is class my friend, loved it
Seen and Heard are past tenses, which bothers me, but I still enjoy the reasoning behind the name.
Good idea but seen and heard are a little too conceptual. Maby something like art and music, or song and dance

You could make a termite pokemon that could make mounds that resembles those Mexican pyramides!
And maybe minimelo hangs out in their mounds!
You should make a trio just like black and whites “elemental monkey” but just a lot better😂. But actually they would be very good for helping trainers get type coverage early game
Agree
Yes!
Omg yes!!! Please let at least one be based on the Peruvian Pygmy marmoset, the tiniest of the monkeys!
The question would be what animal they should be based on. The portrayal of the elemental monkeys were typical of pet monkeys in cartoons: cute and helpful. Therefore, some kind of useful cartoon pet.
Snake Man448 tacos elemental tacos
I feel that this game should be called Pokémon song and dance
Uuuuuuuuuuuh...
Yes
1.That would be sort of weird because of how the starters have the art form themes and it would be weird if the games represented two of them but one would be missing
2. I think it’s too early to decide because of how the game’s names represent the legendary mascots which we haven’t made yet
3rd version would be *SPACE*
How about Pokemon azure, scarlet, and shamrock
The way you described a tarantula hawk wasp's life cycle makes it sound like those kids whose parents kept them from eating any candy, so when they finally grow up and are able to do their own thing in the world they get near instantly addicted to sugar
For the fish Pokemon in the region i would love to see a whale shark Pokemon
*OR* (and preferably)
a Pokemon based on the parrotfish family.
I’d love to see what you could do with this idea
Maybe they have some involvement with other Pokémon and wildlife which live in and around coral reef and some formes could be hostile while others contribute to their eco-system.
It’s a great idea but he will most likely do dark typing for the next video, so the next time he says water or ocean Pokémon make sure to say then cause I’d really love to see this idea
A General topic for mexican inspired pokémon would be "día del muertos".
make a legendary that everyone but the natives of the region fear, because there's this weird connection between Halloween and dia del los muertos, even though the holidays only share a couple of days.
You can make a halloween jack-o-lantern sugar skull for both hallowen and Día de los muertos
Johannes i was thinking more of a Catrina and a jack o lantern
Could either be the inspiration for a legendary, or if he's going to go this route have it be the inanimate object pokemon of this region that is a sentient sugar skull much like klefki, comfey, and sinistea/polteageist
@@ItsNanas regional form of pumpkaboo
The second stage should have the "nectar belly" even if it is smaller and unused. It would visually tie the line better. Otherwise, I like it!
It could be like the pouches on bees
I thought of an adorable idea. Minimelo honey pots.
What if people in the Maza region sculpted honey pots to look like Minimelos
Maractus should get an evolution and pre-evolution in this gen.
I want her to become Roselia, Roselia got a pre evolve and third stage form, I wish it can happen to Maractus
@Skinny Daniel Maractus but it has a regional variant which can evolve even if it can't
I said it last episode but I’ll say it again we need a coyote Pokémon to go along with the road runner it can follow the recent trend of two stage early dark Pokémon.
Sounds good though I’d recommend a chihuahua that evolves into a chupacabra
Eric Burton ... I am saying it because of the road runner cartoon show
Ah man, I love this line, but I also love the idea of Noctavispa being a seperate line with a parasite infected"zombie" tarantula as the first stage.
It’s so cool to see this sort of thing in pieces.
How about next you do the usual early route grass types.
I’m seeing other people say stuff like this in the comments and I think it’s fine, but if you’re gonna suggest stuff like doing a certain Pokémon that fills in a certain role that’s common in other gens than you should give a suggestion of what it could be since some of them are not done in every generation and so if we don’t have a good idea for it we just shouldn’t do it
@Z&N Gaming Like Fake Pokeball pokemon
YEEESSSSS!!! I love that idea!
Agree 100% with this.
This is the first video I've watched in this series, but I absolutely LOVE this line. They are well designed and they work very well together
This is so inspiring, I've been trying so hard to make my own region and it's so nice to see a region be created in pieces.
Pumpkin Demon me too!!
Haha im even making my own champion lol
I've been thinking of a pokemon that is a grasshopper combined with a jalapeño.
hoppin jalapenos!
YES
Could be named jahopeno
Dark/Ground and digging make me think of the Sandile to Krookodile line.
Reese Olsen yeah, I’m going for more of a manipulative Pokémon, possibly switching out ground for psychic so it can control other Pokémon. Though I like the ground typing and I think it should keep it
I didn’t think of that
What?
Mafia style
A conquistador representing an invasive species, which is a creature we see all over the place.
Could be your 2 stage dark type.
Also could pair interestingly worh gloster canaries that have "monk haircuts" Calling back to the "christianization" By spain
They could be that annoying Pokémon you find everywhere, like zubats or tentacools
And where the rarer Pokemon in the region are.... Thinking feebas Magikarp dynamic
That was an amazing storyline tying all of this line together. Very happy that I came across this series
This sounds too much like my terrible region.
A dark dog also exists. Twice. In lineage. Houndour and Poochyena. Both next to each other in Gens

No
Hell yeah! Buntd, this best Pokemon!
I think something cool for the legendaries could be basing them of off the three different Aztec afterlifes (there are actually 4 but the last one is literally a titty-tree so I'm not sure if that would work)
There's the Mictlan, a series of rivers and mountains that the dead would have to traverse to clean their souls and join the gods of the dead mictlantecuhtli and mictecacihuatl
Then there's Tlalochan, the kingdom of the water God, where people who died sailing or at storms would go
And lastly Tonatiuhichan where warriors and women who died in labor would have an eternal feast in the style of Valhalla. People also thought the spirits of these warriors would sometimes come back in the form of hummingbirds and birds of paradise.

I had an idea to make a Grass/Fire Pokemon based on a Komodo Dragon, both the pepper and the lizard
So who else almost fainted when they say the catapiller the size of a grown human Male hand

@@lerombus6020 ts run away
That's not a caterpillar, it's a beetle grub, and they're huge.
An Anteater that hunts minimelo would be really interesting. An electric Ocelot/Jaguar would be sick. There are no Coyotees in Pokémon so maybe that?
I would push it down to 30 at most and maybe 14 or 15 for Chicatta... that sounds fair for a route one bug type.
......you know looking at that, I dont know why I put it at that Lv. at all
I mean there have been bugs that evolve super late. Usually it depends on how strong the Bug actually is. This is probably a bug that would evolve mid 30's
But some like Larvesta do evolve super late
I have one word for you: *ALEBRIJES!*
We been saying this, however what animal do you think it should be?
Nebby Noo112 *all of them*
You could make it the Mythical of the region.
What an amazing line, Minimelo is sooooo cute I could eat him right up lol and the final evo is sick and would definitely use him on my team, I wish the middle evo had a little more honey design as the first and last have a clear honey design
The lizard pokemon could be a Water-dragon Pokemon based off an Axolotl :>
Or wait... Maybe a ghost type??? The wispy gills on axolotls could turn into mist or something :)
Have the axolotl be water/ghost type and the water/dragon type be based off a basilisk.
You could get some day of the dead influenced in there too
i feel like it would be fitting to have a regional variant of seviper. seviper, being a snake with something on its tail, would lend itself well to a rattlesnake design, which could maybe be poison/ground. to go along with this, there could be a normal/fighting variant of zangoose.
Also a Pokémon based on La Lechuza would be cool
Sharpedo is water/dark
