- We lost one of our young sheep, a beautiful pregnant ewe, this week to a tragic illness, and I attempt to talk through how we deal with these sad events on the farm.

I am so very sorry for your loss. You are right it is part of Farm Life, but knowing that does not make it any less heart-wrenching. Hugs, Zanna
Aww, thank you for your kind words.
Julie I’m very sorry for loss of Diva. Your very well explained video is a tribute to Diva! You did all you could to help her live and that is terrific. Your animals are lucky to have you as their human parent! Sorry!
I hope your Christmas is Special- Diva knows you tried and that you were special for her😢💔🎄
Aww, thank you so much for your kind words.
Oh no! I just found your channel. I have had a harsh year with my nigerian dwarf goats with worms on a new piece of land we bought. Ivhave a doe whobis sick but managed to pull through giving birth to 2 beautiful babies. Shes not producing milk but shes pulling through. I really like the way you speak about death on the farm. God bless you all❤
Thank you, and I wish you and your goats all the best!
Thank you for being realistic as we are preparing for starting with a few feeder sheep....both for land management and meat. Of course we will give them the absolutely highest quality of life possible
That's great to hear, wishing you all the best!
Many condolences 🙏🏼
Thank you for sharing 🧡
Thank you!
Thank you for shareing. 😢 yes farm life can be difficult that’s for sure.
Thanks for understanding
I could see how painful it was for you to process this loss, but I want to thank you specifically for not only explaining in depth for those of us who are coming into this life, but more so for showing the harvested animal (& you with it) it helped separate the emotional experience and showing "the moving on" process
. Likely one of the hardest parts about going from a pet owner to a livestock owner is being able to separate oneself from the emotions held as a pet owner and realize farming is about how to handle loss, thinking as a farmer.
Sure we love our animals no matter what, but it is "business".
I love the way you present all your material in videos.
Sorry for the disappointing experience of loosing Diva just the same, but thank you again for being open & honest!❤
Thank you for this. That is exactly what I was trying to convey in this video. I appreciate your understanding, and I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Wonderful video of the realities of farming. I love your outlook on the purpose of your farm. I agree with everything you said. You are my favorite farm informational videos!
Thank you so much for being such a great supporter of ours ❤️
Seems like your last few vids have had bad news. Hopefully you will have good news in your vids with great news soon!!!
I try to mix it up, but also be real. The one after this was all happy and fun!
So on a practical level, considering you did all you could, would you now use the meat, or do you have to dispose of the carcass because she hadn't been slaughtered.?
