  • It's time to breed our Hereford heritage hogs again, and we also need to start moving our piglets around the farm so they can do some work for us tilling up weedy pasture and prepping it for grass seed. We through in lots of great tips and tricks to remember if you ever have to move pigs around.

Thank you both for your content. I am learning a lot about what I want to do in my retirement. It is definitely homesteading.
BIG FYI! RUclips has changed it's viewer platform and formatting. It is so much harder for a viewer to leave a like, or subscribe to your channel. You need to pause the video and scroll down a long ways. They also decided to delete my subscriptions, there were 143. ALL OF THEM WERE DELETED!!! Jerks!

I enjoy the videos you two have sent. Definitely appreciate your experience. I thought of autumn olive root when you mentioned the invasive plant

Julie are you able to get a charge on the fence with all the weeds? It seems thick along the whole fence.

Yes, as long as we keep it off the ground we get about 7000 volts on the fence. The weeds are dry so they don't draw much charge. We have to check it daily though because as the pigs root they kick debris and mud up on the bottom wire.

Would they root up kudzu and silver leafed nightshade?

Yes, they will root up anything.

Thank you! We have feral pigs now, but they seem to avoid both plants.
