One night I was playing Super Mario 64 while swimming through Dire Dire Docks upon my usual business. Mario then turned his head at a 40° angle and said, "Shhh-fuck!". Then my mother came into the room and said, "Are you swearing?", and I said, "It was Mario! Not me!". My mother then grabbed me by the ear and she threw me into the bathroom, and I went "OOF!". She jumped on my face and did the "ground-pound". She then swung me around by the hair and said "So long gay Bowser!"

I actually like the idea of a fast but clumsy creature chasing after you instead of it being a entity just sliding towards your position. It makes it feel more like a real thing is desperately chasing you.
This is probably a really bizarre reference but it’s the only one I can think of, ratatouille on ps2 has these chase segments that I LOVED as a kid, the animations are so goofy and stuff is constantly being thrown around so it feels like something huge is chasing you. I’d love to see something like that in a game only more dynamic instead of one set animation that always plays
Now I kinda want something like that, but not with modern creepypasta horror. Something more like the horror of Majora's Mask that old Nintendo would not have a problem with

That first game made me cry laughing oh my god, the way mario runs headfirst into a wall, 2:06 creeps around a corner, 2:23 runs too fast into the wrong room, 2:34 his stupid ass sneak animation 2:57 and joel’s utter confusion, 3:13 that whole sequence was the hardest I’ve laughed in a long time
The scariest thing that happened to me while playing mario 64 was when he turned to the camera and started whispering something about really wanting to be near Jolly Roger bay, the game then reset and went back to the start screen, however instead of seeing the mario head all I saw was a black screen with red text, the text read “but I can’t”
The best game here is absolutely, without a doubt, Mario is Coming After Yourself and You Die, and the worst is definitely that one that tried way too hard to be a WOAHHH ISN’T IT SO META THAT THE GAME IS SPEAKING TO YOU IT’S JUST LIKE UNDERTALE WOAHHH kind of game but fell flat on its face because it has zero nuance in how it does the meta shit whatsoever

YES I am the most boring person you've probably ever met, there's some genuinely great games on roblox that i genuinely unironically enjoy (there are seriously some games out there that like, holy shit do they have potential as possible standalone one day. there are some genuinely talented devs on that platform and some are older than me that tbh should be adding this shit to portfolios cos they could seriously get hired one day) but then there's some where I'm just riding the 2013-2017 nostalgia high. i am 18 and starting college soon and this is how i waste my time, feel free to throw tomatoes at me because no, i do not take myself too seriously (i unironically play roblox dammit)
