Are you having a good weekend? It's another rainy one in Portland but no complaints here-- I'm cozied up with a good book and peppermint tea at the moment. Later, I think I'll enjoy the rain outside with sir RoO 🐾
Thank you to everyone who's recommended me books to read! I have such a long list, I don't think I'll ever be at a loss for what to read! Extra special thanks to @lostgirlwendybird (IG) for recommending me "Nevermoor"-- I absolutely can't wait to read it when it arrives! And same to @elenatacoowl-- "Tale for the Time Being" seems like a really special book that will make me feel alllll the feelings, thank you!

I’m so happy you’re enjoying Emma! I’ve been meaning to read more classics, I haven’t read many besides Macbeth and Jane Eyre. Next month, my friends and I are going to be reading Pride and Prejudice and I’m quite excited. I also love how the blue on your outfit just perfectly fit the blue of your copy of Emma 💕😂

The music that plays at 11´27 "is very similar to the Brazilian national anthem. If I can recommend a book, look for Coraline written by Neil Gaiman. I loved it!

I can't believe I've never thought about listening to the audiobook while reading! I have an app with audiobooks so I will definitely try this with the book I'm reading now, the Goldfinch.
Another lovely vlog. I've never read Emma, it's the only finished Austen novel I've not read.
My husband is also a fan of Lloyd Kahn, he owns a few of his books :)...As far as book suggestions go, one of my all time favourite books and authors is Daughter of the Forest by Juliet Marillier.

I love watching your videos, you are so calming when you talk and you make reading seem so magical! Love reading in rainy weather, especially when it starts to get cold as you can cozy up with a nice blanket. So happy you have started reading Jane Austen's books, I have read Persuasion and Sense and Sensibility so far, and loved them both. I have all her books including three stories that were never published (until now obviously lol). I love reading classics but definitely have to be in the mood for them. I purchased a copy of Nevermoor a couple of weeks ago and can't wait to read it! Book mail is so wonderful, it feels like your Birthday and Chritsmas rolled into one! Also, Monsieur Roo is just beautiful, it's nice having a furry friend as a reading buddy! Have a happy weekend or a happy Monday (depending on the time difference between Oregon and Australia)!!

isnt book shopping just the best feeling? ive been buying way too many but some are for uni and most of them i got from local bookstores so... its okay i guess hahah. its very gloomy today so this fit the mood :) sending you lots of positivity and great reading energy! i loved the new adaption of emma, the costumes were the best

I saw Roo standing right by your mug and was just waiting for the diasaster lol. I love that your cranes are still hanging up. When I was young I watched the old adaptation of Emma and hated it so much that, as I got older and learned it was a book, I never had any desire to pick it up. I have wanted to maybe give it a try more recently though with everyone gushing about the new adaptation.

@@MorganLong I started Pride & Prejudice but wasn't in the mood for a classic at the time, so I haven't finished it. But I am thinking of rereading Jane Eyre soon (my favorite classic) and I will undoubtedly want to dive back in after that

I've been listening to your videos since I've been studying they've helped me keep focus with the calm music- I downloaded this video to my phone in case my phone loses internet so I can watch again later!! A book you should read is 'The Incredible Magic of Being' it may not be your book of choice but it filled my heart so much and it will always be with me. It has been rainy in Washington County lately , what's your opinion on that?- I love it! It's been great listening to Oregon rains!- I love your videos , have a great rest of your night!-
