      Hi MJS... I can't honestly say if was planned like that, however with it raining a lot here, it's the one time the weather landed in my favour 😆 All the best my friend. Stay well and safe

    I use similar (smaller) bags for keeping dirty/wet things separated inside a clean bag, not long term but until I get home...
    Edit: Good work Neve, it's good to know your dad isn't just talking to himself ;-)

      Hey Sandy. I completely forgot that element about dry bags. Always great to keep dry and wet kit separate. Niamh was happy to help with a small bribe to get her out of the house 😊 Teenagers ey

    This so far this is the best dry bag I've seen. I wonder how many cycles of fold and unfold before the crease develops into a tear. Rain would be fine with tiny tears on the crease but when it falls into a body of water that would be bad or if you use it as an emergency floatation device.

      Hmmmm... That's an interesting thought. I'm not sure however they're pretty tough. It's a very similar fabric used by other companies for a while. There might be a certain point where the folding and unfolding might course a fold which will eventually become a tear, but, I think this might be after years of use. The fabric has developed alot over the last decade. Hope that helps 🤙

      @@MoorlanderEDC jThanks. I really have no way of telling how good the materials or how it will stand to to regular wear and tear until the bag is delivered. Your thoughts on the products are very helpfull. Thanks again.😍

    Hmm I would like to see a comparison with the Ortlieb backpacks. They are more expensive but also offer more than just straps to carry.

      Hi EH, having made this content I'm looking for more to compare this against. Ortlieb and Earth-Pak make some very well liked packs. Hopefully I'll make a follow up. Thank you for watching ✌️

      Hi Dom, I think I know the Daylite Tote. I was on the Osprey site the other day pricing up the Arcane (large) backpack. When I'm not fawning over 1000d military style backpack, Osprey is one of my go to manufacturers. In my climbing days I had a few of their mountaineering packs and they were amazing. I have a look into the Daylite Tote a bit more. I'd love to hear your thoughts when your arrives. All the best buddy to you and the family 🤘

    Found your review while looking for a dry bag backpack with PALS webbing. Just wondering how much load can the PALS webbing on the WDB20 take?

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  11 месяцев назад

      That's a great question. theoretically it'll carry as much as you need for everyday life with a 20litre backpack, however the material may have some issues with keeping the tapes stitches water proof if they're stretched. As an educated guess I'd guestimate a daily carry around 10kg should be fine, however, that's a pure guess. I'm not 100% sure how the tensile strength of this fabric works. I notice your helmet in your thumbnail. Would you use this whilst riding?

    • @cll9650
      @cll9650 11 месяцев назад +1

      @@MoorlanderEDC Yup, normally keep my electronics in my waterproof backpack but finding it a hassle trying to reach for things aren't required to be waterproofed (water bottle for example) so thought I'd strap a MOLLE water bottle bag on my backpack but even a 1L bottle goes for like 1.2 kgs and the material seem like it'll stretch under constant load (and heat of the sun)..

      Yep, I think these are more designed for light use and for paddleboarding. 100% recommend checking out Ortlieb. They specialise in dry bags for outdoors types and specifically have bike packs, plus they're also designed for carrying larger loads/weights. Plenty of sizes ranging from 20ltrs up to 45ltrs. They have traditional straps with back support so they'll help on your shoulders and back whilst riding (or at least I assume they will 😆). Awesome German company who make their gear at home in Germany. I haven't tried them myself yet, however I definitely want to in 2024.

      @@MoorlanderEDC Thanks, Ortlieb seems like a reliable brand but they are definitely at a higher price point. Where I am from, normal brands are like Hypergear and Rhinowalk (all having bags designed for biking). Just seeking some customization options for my use case 😁 In any case, thanks again for the recommendation.

    Thank you for the review! not sure if you mentioned for the 20l one, what is the maximum weight you can put inside? Thank you

    • @MoorlanderEDC
      @MoorlanderEDC  2 года назад +1

      Hey, I checked and I can't find anything on the max weight. The straps are stitched on there really well however the material isn't as toughs as something like a 500D Cordura. I'll keep digging to see if I can find out or contact Nitecore to see if they can help me
