Jon, I just wan't too thank you for all the inspiration you give me. I have been going thru a rough time the past two years and your films has been a lifesaver. Thanks from the bottom om my heart!
I've watched a few videos on this bag, and I don't know how I missed it before, but your video is the only one that pointed out the quick access pocket is not built into the front flap. Great job on the video!
Well done. The bag indeed is very sharp looking. I want to thank you again for being realistic, simplistic and versatile in what you carry. Too often edc shows are basically a show and tell of unused and / or recently purchased items. You think about what you pack, use what you pack and have realistic ideas of what's necessary and more importantly...what's not. I am a bag addict...the urge to get this one is tough. Thanks so much
New camera angle is great, the shots from your trip are great as well. Good to see you actually put the bag in use. I always think your videos are perfect and yet you keep on improving 🤓 Super high quality video Sir! Well done 💯
Thanks Eyal, yes, well spotted on the camera angle, I'm pleased you lie it I messed around for quite a while to try and improve this - not easy in such a small space - also coloured lights slightly changed for 2022! Thanks for the feedback as always.
A neat looking bag! I like the patch option component...it looks compact, but it appears as it could hold alot of gear...I like that I can hand carry it or sling or use the sternum straps...on a side note, I enjoyed seeing your pup...Good job!May you and yours have a happy, safe and prosperous New Year!
Thanks for the feedback - good to know you like this type of content - I like both of the brands you mention and use a Mystery Ranch Urban Assault 21 regularly so may be should feature this? Feel free to feedback on the review content - was there anything missing? was the detail enough or too much etc. Thanks again.
@@JonGadget well I'd certainly enjoy a review of the UA21. I thought this one was a solid review, and I appreciate you pointing out details like security on busy transport, weight etc. which other reviews can gloss over.
Those little nylon loops on the side that you weren’t sure what they were for could be used to put an easy access pen on the outside of your backpack or something like that. Maybe a self-defense Pen if you’re one of those people that carries something like that. Something small and cylindrical could go in there. I can think of many things. If you’re someone that maybe needs emergency heart medicine or some thing that you don’t have to go inside your bag to fine and you can find some sort of tube that’s wider on top so that it won’t slide all the way through the loop you could put that in there. There are many things you can do with those tiny little loops and I always appreciate those on different packs and things. I often will use the tag that says the companies name to hold some thing else because it’s really like a folded piece of cloth that’s in a tube shape kind of
Thanks for the review of an item I had more than a passing interest in. I think the military aesthetic is so common place now as to be considered a fashion style. Particularly when camo print seems to adorn everything these days. the lack of rain proofing would not be an issue for me as an urban user between car/transport and office/home. £100 quid for a bag? For this over-the-hill crisis it will probably outlast me. I'm not paying £300 for any bag I don't care how many D's the nylon has. Reckon I'll give this a punt with my Santa money, let you know how I get on. Thanks again Jon
Having recently switched from a zippered face bag to a traditional zippered top “bucket” style I will attest that the constant fishing for gear from the top indeed sucks. Of course with the full zip-down face if one loses a zipper, they essentially lose their bag’s cohesion
"And you are good to go anywhere..". Not sure about this :D With both flashlights attached it looks like the BP18 Burglar Edition. Not sure that's the best look when commuting :D But it definitely looks amazing and I am really thinking about getting this backpack. Actually that's the reason I got back to this old video of yours. And like always you delivered. Thanks Jon. Best from Germany.
Good review Jon. Not a bad design although I like my packs out of heavier material. Think some zipper keepers to give the carrier better security would be a nice addition. Cheers Stu NZ
I love all your content Jon and am glad I found your channel! I have a Wingback Key loop from your recommendation. I think you should take a look at the GoRuck GR1 pack....it's the best backpack we here in the US have to offer! Expensive but heirloom quality
Nitecore make some of the best flashlights and I wanted to know if that translated to bags as well having not handled one before. Also, not many existing reviews on this one.
500D nylon can still take quite a beating and they use it for military packs, I have 1000D nylon backpacks and they can be quite heavy for every day use
Totally agree. Purchased the Triple Aught Fast Back EDC and lifting it out of the box I thought "no way, this thing is heavy and it's empty". Far too heavy for an EDC and even for a 48-hour bag in my opinion. I ended up giving it to my 24-year old son as a birthday present. He uses it for short trips but the furthest he carries it is from his truck to his hotel room. Yes, you can run a tank over it and won't destroy it, it's terribly expensive, never available on the website and darn heavy. My wife says it should come with a patch that says "Steal Me", cause there is no place you are going to carry this and not draw attention.
Great review, thanks! I wish there would be a version for the "personal item" allowed on those cheap flights. 40cm x 25cm x 20cm. Such alight pack which you can extend on the outside when you use it on destination would be an ideal travel pack if you want to avoid extra luggage.
Prefer the Mr Octopus tbh. 15l or so is perfect for daily use unless your edc has some huge items. I've just got a Tasman Tiger Essential mk2 in large. Hoping it will cope with 6 months travelling round Europe as it will be my daily carry. Love the reviews Jon! Thank you.
Thank you for the videos really enjoying your channel great insights and in-depth reviews question are you still using this pack I was debating on getting something smaller for an EDC bag would you recommend this or hold out for something else thank you
Nice pack not worth the money though , have had better for less but really worth seeing thank you . Paying for the name . Will look at other clip that you are showing though , really quite enjoyable. Thank you 👍

Not to bad may have gotten that if not for my viktos sling bag with bullet proof pad very nice bag just modified the strap with a hazard 4 thick 2inch wide strap with pad with a tactagami gun holster I use to hold a large tdi K-bar knife with a vretx Velcro strap that holds a self defense pen and a 9mm magazine a urban escape and evade lighter , also and survival tin and a tourniquet k-bar chop sticks baboon pouch full of essentials etc a note pad with cover pens etc a 250 pound test paper clip and grizzly tobacco a throw up bag black nitrate gloves a stitch bandages various mask a bench made window breaker / seatbelt cutter survival tool and the best thing of all a bullet proof pad literally a chest rig ready to go at any moment also I don’t use it for off body carry unless you need to poop etc lol but I keep a knife in the ccw spot which works way better if not a back up gun which I will upgrade soon .
Neither here nor there that bag. Got as many cons as pro's. Lots of outside storage straps and space but not safe for Urban involvement and not really got the support needed for a proper outdoors bag either. Trying to be both but fail on both to be honest. Quite a nice little design but just seems to be jumping on the edc fad bandwagon and not really getting there. Definitely much better options out there and for a better price too.
Looks ok but turned off the second you said Chinese, and before anyone says, "big deal so is everything else", Nope, its not and I will always hunt down alternatives, we all should.
I've spent a lot of time in China and there are a lot of people just trying to make a living, like everywhere else. I am writing this on a Chinese made device - I am guessing you are too.

Do you realize that you didn’t open up the backpack until a bit 11 minutes - halfway through the video.. A colossal waste of time.
Do you realise there are chapters markers you can jump to so you don’t have to watch it all?
So dumb. A tactical look with fluorescent yellow stitching. Without the brand stitching I'd have considered one.
