the fact that the killer himself wrote a letter to the department of corrections saying he didn't want to be released because he knew he'd reoffend and they still let him out is mind-blowing
Yes, I'd say all such issues, the ones that aren't the result of mental illness, are because of childhood trauma. It's definitely true that most if not all abusers were abused themselves - however, there are still far too many people who believe that everyone who suffers abuse will go on to become abusers. Too many abusers and murderers will use their trauma as an excuse and a criminal defence even. But it's absolutely untrue - in fact, it's more common for sufferers of abuse to either internalise the pain and harm themselves and/or become empaths, which is what happened to me. It's a difficult "gift" to have because on the one hand, I absolutely am grateful that I am able to put myself in the shoes of anyone and am able to feel to an extent what they feel, but it can be extremely overwhelming, especially when it comes to hearing about true crime cases involving children. The pain can be so overwhelming that it far exceeds anything I experienced when going through my own abusive experiences. It began at a really young age as well - my mother wouldn't let me watch programmes like Lassie or Black Beauty, because I would lose my absolute sh1t when the animal got stuck in a trap or got hurt etc. But still I am thankful that I am a survivor and despite how awful it sometimes is to feel so many overwhelming feelings, I'd still rather that than feel nothing for others which can also happen, as a kind of defence mechanism from further pain. But imo that is a far worse affliction than feeling others' pain overwhelmingly. Anyway, my love and prayers go out to all children and adults suffering pain and sadness and to all the adults in the lives of those people - I remind you that you do have a choice and your decision to take action could save a life. It's better to risk offending by "poking your nose in" and calling authorities, than to be one of those people we hear about far too often in true crime, who were for whatever reason, one of the ones who saw something but didn't say something. 😔 If someone is being harmed it's automatically YOUR BUSINESS! Much love to all, from Kerry in Kent, England ♥ 🙏
Yet another killer that should’ve never been paroled. He did everything he could to stay in prison and they STILL paroled him. “Death is not my first choice, but it is the right thing to do” Him conveying his mental state in his suicide letter is clear to me he knew exactly who he was and what he was capable of. There really is no such thing as reformation for killers like him, rip to his victims
@@SjofnBM1989 yeah, the original poster was of the opinion that this man was always going to be a danger and should have never been released. It wasn't about prison reform
@@rebeccameaney5014 yeah that part completely threw me off/confused me. Because it all seemed to make at least some sort of sense up until that point, he seemed like he had a very genuine problem and was aware of it to the point where he was pleading to stay in jail. But then there was that complete 180?
This is so interesting, I don't think I've ever heard of a serial killer offing themselves to save taxpayers money. I feel like that sheds a lot of light on his mental state... he definitely should have been taken so much more seriously when he told people he KNEW he would kill if released
Mental health is a joke in America. If he wasn’t a criminal he would’ve killed himself anyways. Childhood trauma causes mental illness, but society decides if they get help or off themselves (and take others with them, because why not?)
I feel that was an excuse, he just didn't want to face prison, in there he was probably back to being the victim. He could over power young boys, in jail he was a child killer and rapist, that does not go down well in that environment, he would be victimised. I feel he took the coward way out, nothing to do with tax payers money, pathetic and untrue excuse in my opinion.
I legit cried listening to James' story... Its terrifying. Like imaging the person u look up to and think that loves u just tying you up. You're scared and then they start beating you.... That's horrible. Poor boy...
This is insane so terrible that those teenagers lost their lives when they could have been saved if the police just kept him in jail and stopped letting him out on "good behavior"
@@bethmahadocon1887 yeah totally! They should have known that he was only behaving because he didn't have access to his preferred victims while in jail and when he was released that he would continue his assaults on these poor teenage boys :/
If he was black this wouldn't have happened. There are black men in jail for less with no early release irrespective of their behaviour in jail. White supremacist criminal 'justice' system in action.
@shanontaylor5770 the *police* don't have anything to do with keeping convicts in jail/prison or letting them out. They can't stand watching bureaucrats release the bad guys they worked so hard to catch. Please think B4 u type🙄
I'm so sick of people getting out of prison early for "good behaviour" how they behave in prison shouldn't affect ANYTHING! It's supposed to be a punishment, it's supposed to be a way to keep the public safe from them! Jesus he murdered multiple children and they let him out for good behaviour?! 🙄
Agreed ! How someone acts in prison has no bearing on how they act outside they are to much of a coward to try anything on these other violent men out of fear they will be hurt by them , they don’t act right because they’re good all of a sudden it’s because they can only over power and hurt ppl smaller and weaker and they would never get away with his vile behavior with men bigger and more violent then he is capable of handling.
Their behavior in prison should DEFINITELY affect their sentence, but in the other way around: show no remorse, treat other inmates badly, are violet towards guards etc. and their sentence should be longer. But I agree that "good behavior" shouldn't lead to someone who commited such a serious crime getting out so much sooner. It should be the expected standard, not grounds for a reward! For smaller crimes where no one got hurt and the sentences are only months or a few years max anyways? Sure, let people who made one stupid decision once return to their normal lives. But someone who commited sth like murder or rape? Hell no, they should serve their full sentence and THEN be evaluated if they are fit to rejoin society. If they are likely to commit it again, don't let them out.
It's supposed to be Rehabilitating not punishment but I do agree they should be there for there whole time. And murder (like cold blooded murder not self defence) should be life in a cell you took one you don't get to live one anymore at least free
It breaks my heart to hear of bad mental hospitals. I was on a psych ward a year ago and it was a therapeutic environment, it helped me so so much. I was able to get on meds which helped me, I was referred to supported housing when I was there. I actually had more freedom on the ward than I had at home by the time I was admitted, I was no longer cut off from people, rather I was part of a community. It is so horrible that people end up on psych wards and don't get help they need, and rather get traumatised. Like if the psych ward is a bad place, is there any where you can turn to for the intensive help you need when your mental health isn't just in the gutter, but down the drain? I needed hospital inpatient care. The idea that that care isn't something people who need it can get is horrible.
I am so happy you had a nice experience. I was in a psych ward in 2020 (when i was 16) and we have like 2 different types. One is called the "closed one" where you're under surveillance 24/7, everything (including clothes) is taken from you and locked up, so you need to ask to change, you're searched with a metal detector etc. then there is the "open" one which is way better, you can go into the yard, you can get everything you need when you want and so on. At forst i was in the closed section and it was the worst, not as bad as it was back then probably but i still hated it so much, made me even more su*cidal. Though it did kinda help as i didn't want to go back there ever again so i never tried offing myself again
I was placed in a mental hospital in 2019 when I was 51/50’d for attempting to unalive myself and not being medicated, and unfortunately it was very traumatic for me. The staff was pretty good for the most part, but the other patients I was around is what caused me to have PTSD. There were so many people suffering from different mental illnesses, and as someone who deals with extreme anxiety it was difficult to be around a lot of chaos and unpredictability. I had nightmares for a long time about a few specific patients that really got to me. So needless to say that experience didn’t help me. What helped me was doing intensive outpatient care 5 days a week involving group therapy, education groups, regular meetings with a psychiatrist and I was still able to stay a home. Of course, some people do need to be under 24/7 care, but at least for my case that really helped me. One good thing I can say about the psych ward was that the food was BANGIN
It is so great that you had a good experience, but the ones I've been to have been insanely abusive. Sexually and otherwise. A lot of them mistreat patients and take away basic human rights. Plus, it's very rare that a case against a mental hospital is won because of privacy laws. I've heard horror stories from other patients about hospitals they've been to. They range from kids going to the iso wards for days and coming back in the worst condition possible to forced strip searches after being starved. Most people end up fine after leaving these places, but there are cases like this which are the complete opposite. It's extremely disheartening.
Hi Ellie, just getting my case recommendations over to you again! Chad Isaak brutally murdered 4 people with no known motive. Was tried and convicted, unalived himself in prison, and now his former attorneys are trying to argue his appeal and get his conviction overturned after his death. Savannah Greywind was 8 months pregnant when she went missing from her family's apartment. Tragic story, terrible police work, and a happy ending. If people could like this comment to get her attention, I would greatly appreciate it!!!
I have never heard of that case, and it sounds incredibly intriguing and of course incredibly sad. I’ve been watching you cum videos for years and I have never heard of that case. Be great to see some coverage.
i think he was torn as well. on the one hand he could’ve thought it was a good tactic to get out and do more damage, on the other maybe he genuinely didn’t have control and had a jekyl/hyde type mentality. either way he should’ve stayed in jail
so many people are abused or otherwise had terrible upbringings yet somehow find a way to cope that doesn't involve hurting or even murdering other people, this man is a monster
Eleanor deserves a standing ovation at this point. She's been the most reliable RUclipsr for content I have watched for years now. It's also been amazing watching her and her channel grow. Amazing work as always.
@@sadiyasaleh233 Uhm, what? Can you elaborate instead of being condescending? Eleanor repeatedly posts informative crime documentaries and always makes sure to highlight the victims not just as victims of violence but as people. How the heck you consider this cringe is beyond me.

@@sadiyasaleh233 because she shares informative content and also honors and respects the victims. You're allowed to your opinion but there are far more disgusting media platforms, such as the Dahmer series, making profit without honoring the victims or their families.
Honestly, whether this man was being honest when he implied killing was like an addiction to him doesn't matter. I blame the fact the prosecution never looked at that and thought: "Hm, maybe we should get him psychologically evaluated." A psyche evaluation and more jail time could of stopped him from killing so many people have prosecution actually done their job.
this case is so different to many others, the psychology is so interesting, He knew what he did was wrong and he knew he would hurt people, honestly i think this is one of few cases where rehabilitation and proper treatment could of helped.
I had to face-palm at how often they let him get away with his crimes. And I banged my head after hearing how much they halved his sentences! Like, what were they thinking!?
it’s so weird that no one seems to pay attention to the fact that many serial killers or serious criminals were abused/bullied as children.. it’s the kind of thing that should be studied and prevented - damage in that stage of brain development evidently does a number on them. obviously being abused or bullied isn’t an excuse for those actions, but it’s an explanation that should be considered more seriously.
I find it more interesting the serial killers that had a good life as kids, don't have mental health issues legally and still kill torment etc. Although they are rare what made them snap? With the abused kids they had a "reason" or source that started it. My hypothesis is we all have a snap in our minds the serial killer snap it just takes something to activate it,when it activates one of two things happens it takes over or we snap those thoughts and urges out. The snapping point is different for everyone because pain tolerance is different to everyone and the opion of good is different to everyone.
Eleanor paints THE most vivid imaginary pictures for the audience over any other true crime creators, I swear! I don’t know how she does it, but with every case, you somehow feel like you are RIGHT THERE. To be a storyteller like her is a great gift, and we’re so lucky we get to enjoy it! ♥️
The death of James actually got me crying for ages. As an openly gay man, I don't think people realise how much abuse we can suffer for our own community
Not gonna lie it's a bit upsetting scrolling down the comments and seeing NO ONE talk about the case or discussing anything. Love El and everything but come on yall we're happy that she uploaded but let's discuss the case.
i agree. there is a lot to be learned from this story. i am not sure how to take any story that is hear say but if there is any truth-- or life giving advice to be taken-- it is that many people ask for help and so very very many or ignored.
@@beththomas1466 Right, I feel as if he was failed by the system. He even went as far as to writing 5 pages as to why he should not be released out of prison and yet they still let him out. Whatever was going on in his mind really intrigues me, it seems as if he had patterns of Dissociative Identity Disorder.
This is why I like the minimum sentencing model. That being said, he clearly needed far more mental health care and evaluation. It's clear to me that the prison system failed him
the issue with mandatory minimums is that they apply to everyone, this man obviously should have stayed in prison but that’s not the case for all murderers. for example, a teen being charged as an adult for a gang-related murder. obviously that kid was caught up in bad circumstances and can be reformed, but with minimum sentences he would have to be charged like 20+ years
Wow! The twist at the end! He seemed very self aware of his miserable thoughts. It's horribly unfortunate that he didn't control his urges. Hope the 5 families were able to heal at some point in time. Great storytelling as always Eleanor!
When we were teenagers and drinking, if a grown man had have approached us and said 'oh here I'll buy you alcohol and smokes, let's hang out' me and my friends would have been like 'ah f**k no you're a grown man and you want to hang out with teenagers, that's pathetic, get away from us'. Grown up people do not want to hang out with teenagers just cos they think you're cool, they do not buy you alcohol cos they're nice, they want something from you and it's not friendship. It's grooming.
This is who got me into true crime. I followed the story in the newspaper as this unfolded about 15 minutes from where my teenage self was living. In my twenties, I discovered my friends husband served time as his cellmate years prior. And that piece of work was shaken to his core.
I love you much time and effort Eleanor puts into her videos. The amount of professionalism and respect towards people and victims is so amazing for smaller and less known cases. Love you and you’re videos, watching them all with Covid right now. Have a good day everyone!

I happen to know one of his victims and family very personally. I use to babysit for one of his victims and the family has never gotten over it. This basically made them implode. It's very tragic and sad 😔
You are seriously the best at storytelling on true crime oh my gosh, I've seen other true crime channels but they don't do it as suspenseful and intriguing as you do, its like watching a movie or reading a book, so hooked!
for all we don't know, I am almost sure that the choking must be part of a recollection that we will never know about and it is unbelievably sad that David didn't have a way to breathe and find a way to acknowledge and progress past his own painful past.
I love how her videos are mainly just her talking, not too many images constantly popping up on the screen like some true crime channels. She's a proper fitty too 😍 love the channel! 🙌
this idea that he would be faking the remorse to get out of prison makes no sense because he literally wanted to stay in prison he knew he wasn’t safe for the world
It is insane to me that he wrote a letter saying not to let me out that he had kill more than once "accidentally" or not and they let him go anyway and after a short time! Smh he knew he was going to be deadly.

Same here. Not only is it GCSES but I've now had multiple illlnesses that have ruined some of my grades but we're going to ignore that. These videos are amazing for hw, some subjects more than others.
Most likely because at the time childcare services such as schools didn't have to do criminal background checks on new employees, and so were probably completely unaware. It wasnt until the Soham murders in 2002 that it was made a legal requirement for all people working with children or vulnerable people to have a criminal record check aka a dbs check
Psychology student here. I took an entire course last summer on behavioral addictions which are addictions to doing some thing or addictions unrelated to a substance. That’s the first thing that came to mind here, the act became a compulsion or addiction to him. People can form unhealthy addictions to all kinds of behaviors. We studied a lady who had an addiction to pulling weeds and so she pulled the weeds from her entire friggin town lol.
The fact that he wrote a letter saying that he’s dangerous and that he will offend again and needs to stay locked up and they still released him is so ridiculous
This case is so sad. He really tried, he tried so much but the devil is stronger than human will. I believe his remorse was genuine because he probably wasn't in his right state of mind. I hope he rests in peace. May God forgive him his sins.
You know what, I do think he was disgusted in himself. I wonder if he got the right help and rehabilitation if he could have been helped????? Thanks Eleanor 🥰
It would have been interesting if he had been properly assessed and diagnosed. There must be a psychological reason for his incongruous behaviour/thoughts, most serial killers are not remorseful or that self aware.
In class today we started working on podcasts, each student gets to do any topic they like. And so because of Eleanor I wanted to do a topic on murders but I think that's too triggering for everyone so I'll have to do conspiracy theories, but I enjoy these videos so much! No matter how weird it is that I love listening to terrible and sad murders, I just can't stop watching them.
I read somewhere an explanation from psychologist or psychiatrist that the reason we (mostly women) love to watch videos like that it’s because it gives us sense of the control over situation. It calms us while we watch it, because we replay all situations like that in our head and think what would we do. It’s like it gives us opportunity to imagine more dangerous situations and think way out of them, plus to know the enemy, the more types of people we know the better we are prepared. Sorry eng is not my native language I hope I made sense 😅
I recommend talking about the Cody Posey case, he was a 14 year old who killed his whole family on a famous news anchor's ranch, Sam Donaldson. I'm really shocked that no one has done him yet. Crazy back story with sad twist of fate.
i honestly believe that it was an uncontrollable thing for him. i have a lot of self destructive behaviours and i’m always so upset at myself and try my best to change but it just doesn’t change. it’s not as bad as murder and the only person i hurt is myself and that’s why i think david really couldn’t help himself
I was looking for a comment like this cuz i know there are people who would say 'no he was in total control and he knew what he was doing' but there are plenty of people who do things they know they shouldn't (me included). I feel like not a lot of people talk about impulse control issues but they're very real
Exactly! I just dont understand why Elanor was making a point of "if you know you're a danger, why go to places where there will be kids?" That's probably why he wanted to stay in prison!! So he wouldn't go to those places!! I wonder what could've happened instead if he was offered adequate mental health care
amazing how useless mom's can impact their children's well being throughout their life. I actually felt a sense of sadness for this guy. Rejected by his own mother, abused, violated and could not find peace whatsoever his entire life. My condolences to his victim's loved one's .
1977 was a hell of a scary time to be alive. You have son of Sam, the dating game killer, the teen slayer, Ted Bundy, John Wayne gacy etc. I also believe the hillside stranglers? So many serial killers active all at that one time. Terrifying.
It really pains me that he pleaded to not be let out of prison and that was ignored! Feels like he really suffered and he knew he couldn't resist when the urges came on. To me it seems like the last three murders were planned, almost like he accepted his dark side after fighting it for so long, while the others before that were more impulsive. I really believe he was feeling remorse. It's all so sad. If he only had been admitted to a paychiatric hospital where he was actually treated then maybe innocent people wouldn't have died. Poor souls!! It's all so heartbreaking 💔
It’s actually sad that he wanted to stay locked in but they let him out again and again. He didn’t want to be out there and they literally forced him, they have blood on their hands too.
you and Bailey (sarian) make my Mondays sooooo much better. I was here at 26 minutes since posted, but I forgot to comment. I just wanted to say how amazing your content is and I appreciate how much effort you put into these.
Please consider covering the case of missing 4yr old Paulette Gebrara!!! She was born with special needs, did not have the ability to walk, form sentences, or properly feed herself. Her parents were very wealthy, both are lawyers. They employed multiple nannies to take care of their children. One morning when a nanny went to go wake Paulette up for the day she realized that the girl was not in her bed and alerted her coworkers. They frantically began searching the entire house, when they told her parents they could not find heard they didn't seem alarmed at all and did not even get up to go look for her or call the authorities. The nannies were the ones to dial 911 and report her missing. News crews came to the residents to interview the parents and filmed a lot of them inside Paulette's bedroom while sitting on her bed. Many family members stayed the night at the residence while police searched for the missing 4yr old sleeping on Paulette's bed. Weeks later a crime scene investigator was conducting an additional search inside her room and while being filmed made a gruesome discovery. It was Paulette's decaying body at the foot of the bed stuffed under the sheets!!!!! It was awful (the footage of this discovery is on RUclips and I watched it)
It sounds like he has multiple personalities, like his good side comes out occasionally to see the horrors he has created, then his bad side would take over again.

This is probably the ONLY klller I "feel" for and can _sort of_ understand/feel some sort of compassion for, if that makes sense. He knew exactly who and what he was and tried to warn everybody what would happen. I think he was really really struggling. I don't even know what to feel about this one. His poor poor victims, if only people listened to him, his victims would never have to be victims. And if only he grew up in a loving home, _maybe_ none of this would've happened..
I can’t help but think that some of their lives could have been saved if he had been given a harsher sentence or LE had not let him out for “good behavior.” Thank you Eleanor for covering this case because I had never heard of this heartbreaking and tragic case before.
I’ve watched all of your true crime videos now and it always makes me happy when I see a new video pop up. I never get tired of listening to you and your videos genuinely help to calm me down and focus when I feel out of control. Not to mention I’ve always enjoyed listening to true crime and you share it in a respectful and intriguing way. I’m very thankful for you and I keep up the good work xx
i personally have no issue with them taking the 12 years off the sentence, as i wouldn’t agree with the precedent that people should be allowed to sit in jail for 12 years waiting for trial and potentially proved innocent. the real issue is that he only got 30 years, which was then halved, for the murder of a child + the assault of another child, after being accused of assaulting multiple other children and put in jail for manslaughter. the core issue is the short sentence for the horrific crimes IMO
It’s the fact that the killer himself tried to put him self behind bars. Why didn’t they listen?! It doesn’t make me sympathetic for him but it does make me angry at those who released him.
This case is a wild ride. I kinda feel sad - not for David exactly, but because all the boys that he murdered could've been saved if authorities (and I'm using this word because it's more than the police: it's the judicial system, the prisons, the mental health professionals, and everyone else involved in this) had looked at him like the troubled person he was. The fact that we get a man writing a 5 pages letter to authorities saying he can't be let out of prison because he knows he'll kill again and they let him go is absolutely infuriating. I think they should've kept him in prison from the first murder, and done an extensive psychic evaluation.
Hi Eleanor, I don't have much to look forward to in my life at the moment, but everytime i notice an upload from you it instantly makes my day, you're just really cool basically ily ❤️
A girl I knew from highschool got murdered by a man who was paroled from prison for " Good Behavior" he had robbed a furniture store ten years before he killed her and another guy and they knew he had mental issues and still let him out and he murdered her and a man, at a store one Saturday all because he was released from prison when he shouldn't have been. Just like this guy.
The choking fetish is probably something to do with power and control or maybe the look in the eyes of the victim as life drains out of their eyes. Or both. That's usually the 2 main reasons
Or his rapist did this to him in his first time and he got fixated on that. My theory. Perhaps he wanted to re-live this traumatic experience, only now as the one in the position of power, to "fix" it and heal it somehow. Obviously a very flawed and damaged logic but, in the mentally ill mind it probably could go that way. Idk
I want to preface this by saying I’m not defending him at all, but that I think the way individual’s minds function does have an impact on repetitive behaviors or repetitive behaviors that they know logically are wrong. Mental illness is very tricky and when you experience trauma early in your childhood, like he appears to have can create that separation from you in reality, simply, because you can’t handle it. I was listening to the point where you said “it’s not like an addiction you can’t stop, just don’t go in those situations if that’s how you know you are” but that’s literally the struggle of most addicts. They may know logically what’s going to happen but they are pulled to it. When you mix trauma related thoughts it makes it worse as well. If we do want to go with his urge to murder isn’t an addiction it could also be an uncontrollable compulsion. When you speak to a lot of people with OCD, that’s how it is as well. You logically may no you don’t need or shouldn’t do certain things but your mind won’t allow you to come off the thoughts. And people with either of these conditions, or a few others that are similar may be very self-aware. They may know that this is not right or that they feel bad for doing it or that they don’t need to do this thing or something bad will happen but their brain doesn’t function that way. I’m begging to stay in jail and begging to stay away from society at least shows me that he was self-aware enough to recognize the fact that if you went out again, he would’ve never really come into a situation where this could happen again and he didn’t want it. I definitely want to read more into this set of murders and just kind of how his thought process went and other things he may have struggled with by interviews. I’m sure he’s done with psychiatrists because something to me just feels off and not like normal offset a serial killer makes you feel just eerily off
I agree about him, feeling remorseful episodes only because he wrote to stay in prison himself, and didn’t wanna leave prison the first time. I am not defending this man, and he should have found a way to remove himself from being around children in any capacity, and it’s just so incredibly sad.
this why i think the psychology is so interesting because he regrets and feels disgusting then goes back to same places where he knew he couldn’t control himself. it’s so confusing because the psychology behind it is so opposite to what is normally seen in murders.
When in a mental health facility. There were adults and children. One of the employees said that parents do leave their child there so they could go on vacation. It's horrible.
these murderers need to put with those disgraceful prosecutors. What an disgusting injustice that cost way too many lives. This and similair cases of (serial) killers being let of by the law are too aggravating
the system fails so many people… yet i feel like nothing is being done to change it…. People who let his man out tho he begged to not be should be held accountable to the highest amount

the fact that the killer himself wrote a letter to the department of corrections saying he didn't want to be released because he knew he'd reoffend and they still let him out is mind-blowing
Charles Manson didn't want to be released from prison either. They let him out and see what happened
Really highlights the fact that the rehabilitation centers are not focused on rehabilitation.
The ppl who signed his release are also responsible for those deaths and I bet they never saw any consequences
Great judicial system, right?! Makes me SMH a lot of the times!!!
Dude!!!😢 that’s rough
It's insane to think about how a lot of the most dangerous adults were abused as children. A lot of issues start young.
If someone is being harmed it's automatically YOUR BUSINESS!
Much love to all, from Kerry in Kent, England ♥ 🙏
And that's precisely why some people should never have children. Why have them if you're going to abuse them? ):
This is a big reason that pedophiles are targeted and killed in prison

Yet another killer that should’ve never been paroled. He did everything he could to stay in prison and they STILL paroled him. “Death is not my first choice, but it is the right thing to do” Him conveying his mental state in his suicide letter is clear to me he knew exactly who he was and what he was capable of.
There really is no such thing as reformation for killers like him, rip to his victims
To be honest there isn’t any for anyone in the US at least. Here they only punish no reform.

Exactly
I feel that was an excuse, he just didn't want to face prison, in there he was probably back to being the victim. He could over power young boys, in jail he was a child killer and rapist, that does not go down well in that environment, he would be victimised.
For me...I'm fine with being let out on good behavior depending what the crime was.
In this scenario, should of never been thought of..

Glad you had that experience. My partner was horrifically abused.
Yeah they’re really hit or miss, it sucks :/ First time I went it was great. At the second place I witnessed abuse of power

Honestly, whether this man was being honest when he implied killing was like an addiction to him doesn't matter. I blame the fact the prosecution never looked at that and thought: "Hm, maybe we should get him psychologically evaluated."
A psyche evaluation and more jail time could of stopped him from killing so many people have prosecution actually done their job.
this case is so different to many others, the psychology is so interesting, He knew what he did was wrong and he knew he would hurt people, honestly i think this is one of few cases where rehabilitation and proper treatment could of helped.

This is why I like the minimum sentencing model. That being said, he clearly needed far more mental health care and evaluation. It's clear to me that the prison system failed him
the issue with mandatory minimums is that they apply to everyone, this man obviously should have stayed in prison but that’s not the case for all murderers. for example, a teen being charged as an adult for a gang-related murder. obviously that kid was caught up in bad circumstances and can be reformed, but with minimum sentences he would have to be charged like 20+ years
"He was so well behaved in prison" they say. Well of course, he isn't housed with his victim preference!

Most likely because at the time childcare services such as schools didn't have to do criminal background checks on new employees, and so were probably completely unaware.

He should've stayed in the hospital. They should've done more. So sad because it seemed like he really wanted help.
I love Eleanor sm I listen through the ads just bc i love her sm
A girl I knew from highschool got murdered by a man who was paroled from prison for " Good Behavior" he had robbed a furniture store ten years before he killed her and another guy and they knew he had mental issues and still let him out and he murdered her and a man, at a store one Saturday all because he was released from prison when he shouldn't have been. Just like this guy.
It's crazy how this one killer wants to stay in prison because he's was aware what he capable of and they still let him go

I’m sure he’s done with psychiatrists because something to me just feels off and not like normal offset a serial killer makes you feel just eerily off
Also, you’re an angel and one of my favorite people to watch 🦋
Murder isn’t an “addiction”, it’s a COMPULSION.
I love when Eleanor posts it literally makes my day ❤️😊
how many times he got away with the most cruel stuff is crazy. I’m actually lost for words.
It's horrible.
when you murder a bunch of people but they let you out anyways for being such a good boy in prison.
I follow several true crime story channels. I drop them all when I see a new post from Eleanor!!
these murderers need to put with those disgraceful prosecutors. What an disgusting injustice that cost way too many lives. This and similair cases of (serial) killers being let of by the law are too aggravating
the system fails so many people… yet i feel like nothing is being done to change it…. People who let his man out tho he begged to not be should be held accountable to the highest amount

“the dogs have spoken!” i love this girl
I agree with you entirely. This is so unlike other cases I've read about. I guess anything can be an addiction, even murder.
Eleanor + Kendall are top tier and it ain’t even close
POV:it’s 3:30am but Eleanor has uploaded 🏃♀️
Eleanor is out here showing how blush is supposed to be worn. 🙌🏻
Of course they had to let a child murderer out of prison early! They have to make room for all the guys caught with a joint in their pocket!
