Hey takashi. I’m a huge fan of your videos and the Japanese culture. Can you do a video on what’s it like being disabled in Japan? I am also a person with a physical disability
As someone with mobility issues, I found Tokyo to be a pretty inconvenient city when I visited. The lifts at train stations are located far away - sometimes at the opposite end - from the ticket gates, many shops and restaurants have steps going up or down into them, some shops have no lifts or escalators and many places are too narrow to accommodate wheelchairs and strollers.
Thank you so much for watching! I’m planning to make videos about this topic, LGBT in Japan more, And for that reason,I have to learn a lot But to be honest I haven’t had much opportunities to know about this So I’m gonna start learning!
This was very interesting and an eye-opener about the LGBTQ society. I am looking forward to your next video about what the Japanese think of the 🏳️🌈 LGBTQ society. Good job, Takashi!
You also can go to the lgbtq district and enterview random people at the streets to talk about how they feel when expressing themselves to japanese society
Would it be possible to find out what people who don’t live in the big cities (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, etc.) think about the big cities? Love your videos!
Please keep making these interesting and informative videos Takashi! Really enjoying them, and they make me miss my two weeks in Japan back nearly a decade ago now. Much love from Canada!

In Japan it's not common for straight couples to show affection in front of other people either, as far as I know. I'm German and I wouldn't hold hands while getting interviewed for example.
As someone who is LGBTQ+ who wants to study abroad in Japan, I would find it interesting to learn more about the "gay district" in Shibuya that was mentioned by the Indonesian man. Nice video, I like to hear stuff about LGBTQ+ in Japan
Interesting. Thanks for this video. I'm gay and I've seen several videos regarding this specific topic. I think for foreigners in Japan it's easier but not as accepted as people think. There are a lot of Japanese people, even among the young population, who know almost nothing about LGBTQ+ topics, which I find a bit surprising. You wouldn't feel so judged as a foreigner compared to a couple formed by 2 Japanese people from the community. I think Japanese society and its rules make it difficult for the minorities. The good thing about Japan is that even if people judge you they are not gonna be physically aggressive towards you which it could randomly happen in other more gay friendly countries. So that's a good thing. I think the other video interviewing Japanese people about their opinions regarding this topic is gonna be interesting too. It'd be great if you could interview not only straight people but also LGBTQ+ people from Japan. I think that'd be really difficult though.
Thanks for sharing. It’s tragic that generally, there’s still “coming out” and that only brave individual can do that when really, we should accept everyone who are just good people.

Hi Takashii-san. I’ve just discovered your channel and I think you’re doing a great job with your interviews! Somehow you’re giving your viewers a taste of life in Japan and it’s really insightful. as Indonesian, I want to say that being part of lgbt is 94% that hard! its not that acceptable, but I want to clarify that indonesian fujoshi/bl shippers here is Much! if u aren't celebrity from Indonesia, it won't be that hard then, basically in Indonesia, there's raikan that are big fan of Thai bl, so far I know, Thai bl getting more popular day by day in Indonesia! indo's people usually will sparing hate on you for the whole cost in the case that you are celebrity. but still though u are not celebrity, It still that hard to survive! the fanbase of raikan in Indonesia too almost equalling one of the biggest fanbase in Indonesia (kpopstan) especially for the exol/nctzen! but basically it back to people themselves, there's some places that honestly acceptable! also, it back to the mindset too, unfortunately, Indonesian ranked 1 as the judges that judges without rethink! even 85% of Indonesian consumed the hoax and believe them instead of seeking the Truth! Not all Indonesian, but trust me, if there's someone spare hoax, the first thing they'll do is making the hoax getting more known without knowing the Truth! "if it not acceptable then, why there's a bunch of twitter star survive? how can there are many bl shippers there?" well, the only thing I can say is "Welcome To Indonesia!"

My state is way below it and I know some people love the Dakotas. Western South Dakota is one of my favorite places. Forest, mountains, elk, buffalo roaming the roads, real beauty.
Thank you takashi for this interview. It was very interesting. It must be more difficult to have Japanese LGBTQ people speak on camera. Maybe if they aren’t on camera but would like to give insight on being born and raised in Japanese society - that would work? Thanks again for awesome content!
I wonder if lesbian couples in Japan get fewer stares because it’s so normalized for girls to hold hands and be affectionate there. I’d be interested in an interview with a lesbian couple (as a lesbian myself)
Awwwe thank you so much for sharing this video ! These guys were so cute ! And your way of interviewing really impress me! This was really interesting. It would be nice to have japanese's people opinion on lgbt comunity !
As indonesian,i feel happy for arya having a safe place bcs here so many people being judgmental and easily throw death threats to lgbtq fellas! I hope this video not randomly coming to my country trending video😭😭
That makes me so sad. Even here in the U.S., especially depending on what area you live in, LGBTQ people have a hard time. I'm only 37 and it's much better than when I was a teenager. I hope Indonesia becomes more open, but I know it takes time.

Takashi what a great video! I moved to Japan a week ago and I'm currently doing long distance with my husband who had to stay at our home country. This is specially hard since we have a 12 hours time difference. Seeing in your interview the situation where one of them had to go back to the US made me think it would be great if you could do a video on the topic. I'm eager to find more foreigners who live and Japan and have to be in a long distance relationship, how are they doing and what do they recommend for this situation. Just an idea!
@@johnsalchichon3605 gtfo. he's obviously very interested and wants to hear their thoughts, or else he'd make a different fucking video, he's in charge you know.
I think that’s my favorite episode so far! I’m straight man living in Los Angeles. But I’ve had gay friends and actually I live in Long Beach which has a huge gay population! In fact the Long Beach pride parade was just last week. It really does depend on people who are stuck in the past or who romanticize the past (not gay friendly) vs those who are progressive in their attitudes. A HUGE rift is the Trump friendly MAGA masses. They are without a doubt a huge hurdle in LGBTQ+ acceptance. If the millions of them were gone the USA would be LBGTQ + friendly from coast to coast. Anyway, yes, great episode Takashii.
I wish more people were open-minded like you! It's really amazing. I'm straight but I have gay friends and it hurts my heart to see people hating on them and making them feel uncomfortable, unaccepted and unloved. Even my mother doesn't like it, and it hurts me. I imagine how bad it would be if a gay person had homophobic parents, friends etc.
Nah fuck that kind of naive thinking , most ppl are gay because they were molested or raped and 50% of trans commit suicide ain't no one wanted them til a decade ago and now every one's acts like it's a sacred right

I'm hoping to go to Japan soon for an international student program, and I'm lesbian so this helps on what to expect! Thank you!!
my left ear loved that intro
Epic video!
It would be cool if you did a video interviewing trans people in Japan!
Thank you takashi for this interview. It was very interesting. It must be more difficult to have Japanese LGBTQ people speak on camera. Maybe if they aren’t on camera but would like to give insight on being born and raised in Japanese society - that would work? Thanks again for awesome content!
Always awesome video❤️❤️
@@ijustneedmyself US is alot better than were I stay. Yes few people say nosense in the US but here it's not about the people even the government . As far they have right from the government ,that's all that matters
@@Imetwurld_ I understand. I wasn't trying to make it seem like it was so bad over here. It's so much better than it was and it's a lot better than a lot of other places. I'm grateful. But, there are still issues that exist no matter how bad it is elsewhere.
Arya is from Indonesia. I'm so glad he's somewhere where he can be himself. I hope everyone can be free and stay safe🌸✨
It is kind of rare to see gay people in my country aswell, also, every time i see a gay couple i tend to stare because it is unusual.
I am straight, but it would be nice to have gay friends (girl or boy), because i never had the oppurtunity to talk to them.
They're fun to be with and will make you laugh.:)
What a lovely couple. Hope the best for them.
I would love to know what Japanese people of all ages think of gay couples, gay marriage and homo-parental adoption
Takashii I've been watching your videos for a while and its getting better and better ahhh I want to come to Japan just to meet you I'm already your fan keep it up😉
Kevin can legally marry him and they can live in the US together. K1 spouse visa.
Hi Takashi! I am a college student from the United States, and I’ll be working in Japan (specifically Nagoya) over the summer! Watching your videos has been so much fun, and I’m happy to interview if you ever visit Nagoya while I’m in Japan! Thanks for being so positive, your channel is amazing!
Interesting. topic . love your interview,
Good start Takashii. 💗🙏✌️💪
Excellent interview. Congratulations!
Takeshi, can you please do some interviews with native ethnic gay/lesbian Japanese and ask the same questions
i love how you care about our community! ❤️🏳️🌈
Tatemae
@@johnsalchichon3605 gtfo. he's obviously very interested and wants to hear their thoughts, or else he'd make a different fucking video, he's in charge you know.
Good video bro !!!
I love your content Takashi 👌🏻😍
Thank you for doing this video! Looking forward for interviews of local Japanese couples if possible!
Please do an interview with Japanese people and what they think about LGBTQ people in Japan!
Also what they think about transgender people?
They were so cute at the end :) I love the couples interviews
That hug was so natural, so loving. I really root for them in that long distance relationship. 🤞
Nah fuck that kind of naive thinking , most ppl are gay because they were molested or raped and 50% of trans commit suicide ain't no one wanted them til a decade ago and now every one's acts like it's a sacred right
Great video :) thank you
They are so cute. Wish them the best in life! ❤️
I'm pretty sure Arya is safer being in Japan than Indomuslinesia.
Yes, He never accepted in Indonesia
Lol
Such an awesome video
