The suspense, the tension! Will he have enough contact cement to do all the patches?!?!? Annnnnnnddddd... he did!!! Great video, super helpful!

Well, to completely finish the repair I did need to go back and get a second tube of contact cement, but it was good enough to demonstrate what was needed for the video

How did the vapor barrier hold up?

That's holding up well so far. Our winter wasn't too bad and the patches are in one piece. This repair somewhat coincided with my repair of the foam cores. So far so good!

How can you tell if the foam is dry enough to reseal 3:08pm Fri Feb, 23

You need to judge by weight, it is a bit subjective but once you feel that the foam is light you are good to go. Remember it will take some time dry it out. Heat, airflow, and dehumidification are your keys to success here!

Aren’t these patches going to stick to your vapor barrier through the holes? Maybe you’re assuming only one redo for the vapor barrier? Just curious. We have a very heavy cover so I’m happy to have found both of your videos to help us continue to work on our “free” hot tub pickup. 😂

That contact cement that I used will only adhere to itself, so even though the patch is coated it should be fine. I did multiple wraps on the barrier and knock on wood, it's been good so far! I hope the videos help, best of luck with your repair!
