- I purchased a boat that has a Mini Gunvault on it. The prior owner used it to store his gun. I used to to store some cash. Well, it started not working so well and required me to enter the code twice. It then stopped working all together and I could not get in.
I contacted the company and they were not able to help me.
Ordered a special tool on Ebay and now I got access to my vault.
Also, this one does not have a 9v battery, but it does have about 8 AA batteries.

I have a GunVault safe and when my battery died, I couldn't find the backup key. After watching this video, I purchased this same kit online and within minutes after receiving the kit, I had my safe opened and the battery replaced. Thank you very much!

After unsuccessfully trying other techniques, this worked like a charm. The kit is called HUK Lockpick and cost $20 plus shipping. Make sure you line up the arrow into where the key would enter and turn counter clockwise. Didn't need to use any force and it worked right away. Kinda ridiculous that these type of locks are on safes as they are stupid easy to open with this universal tool.
well it's supposed to deter and delay, it's not made to be failsafe. But I was also thinking the same thing. These things keep kids out of your pistols, that's about it.

If you want one it's called a "tubular lock impressioning tool" just search that up and you'll be good to go

ha ha also thinking the same thing. and thank you for showing us an empty box with none of the tools actually in it. (still was able to dope it out and get the correct set tho)
Good to know. My battery went dead and I couldn't open my AR Vault. Turns out I still had the keys but keeping track of them after a couple of years itook some time to locate. Anyway, kind of a poor design of the vault. It was interesting that I got a green light after entering the code but it quickly gave me a red light and relocked. Good thing I found the keys.

I found it on eBay. It's called the HUK lockpick
Liberty safe needs a receipt to send a key replacement and the store Gander Mtn. went out of business and there isn’t a way to produce a receipt. Would that key work on a Liberty pistol safe?

@@TenaciousTurtle05 No. And I'm pissed. Now I'm stuck with this useless lockpick set. Soooo, don't assume it will open yours, or that you'll figure out how to use it. It might, it might not. Buy it from someplace that will take returns.
Ultimately, it took my husband about an hour and a half (and some RUclips videos on how to set the pins up), but he was successful and able to get it open (after I asked you if you had any success). It was definitely a long, tedious process for someone with no knowledge about these kinds of tools.

Does anyone have the method down or a video that shows the actual way to unlock it with this tool?
My issue is the battery is fresh but when I key in the code is goes ZZZZzzzt and doesn't f'ing unlocked. It sounds like the little motor is decoupled from the mechanism so I'm left to wonder if it would unlock with the key or not.
