Absolutely brilliant video-lesson... playing guitar for 2 months now, and started with other tutorials, but got to a stage where I wanted to learn not only the intro. Your video helped me with that. Still need to improve my speed, but it was super to see you play with tabs blended in, especially in the slow part at the end. Thanks man.
This really is quite a good tutorial. Great breakdown of the various parts. True that on the last bit the chords should be reversed but overall great. Really nice tone and technique too. You did justice to a fantastic tune.
+Ray Thanks Ray! I know I have been gone and quiet for a very long time but I am alive and doing well. Sometimes things in life get in the way. I have been thinking about creating a new video (Sanitarium Pt.2) a lot recently if I get the time. If I do come out with a new video a second video will shortly follow as an update video regarding my absence for so long. I am so happy to see how much help and joy I could bring to people learning guitar!
+Adam S Well, I'm certainly glad that you are still alive and kicking. Your talent with a guitar is appreciated and as old as this lesson is it's the best I've seen on this song.
saved me havn to go work it out..im gettin lazy in my old age n good enuff fr me to blast it out with new band in 2 weks! thanx heaps.. well put togetha!
Sweet, so all I need to do to cover this song is just learn how to play four guitars simultaneously! Real talk, awesome tutorial though. This helped immensely
Extremely amazing tutorial. The best I have ever seen for Kryptonite. Very nicely done. That's a sweet Jackson Flying V. I forget everything else about 'em but I know they kick ass. Like like like like like like like.
Yup, I think you have to pratice timing a little bit more sir :3 But this Kryptonite tutorial is definetely the best of its kind in youtube! Thank you!
Awesome tutorial! I am a bloody beginner and I have a question, maybe someone could answer me. I have noticed that its easier for me to hold the strings simultaneously. Like in the beginning I hold 2 4 4 3 and I keep practicing it, then I move on to the next "combination" (excuse my lack of technical terms). Do you veteran guys recommend this for beginners or should I rather practice playing the strings by pressing down the strings when I play them.
Thank you very much for this excellent guitar lesson. Can you make a video lesson for Get it up from Chickenfoot? (with a great solo from Joe Satriani)
lord be praised! This negro has done what was only thought possible . I was playing by ear and couldn' t here the guitar loud enough becasuse of these cursed head phones. now i can play it although i put lord be praised I' m sure as hell do not promote christanite for the sole fact that science answers my questiin and not my teacher saying"do nog question gods way. "
This has LOTS of parts being shown wrong. Have you even listened to the song? You should learn it correctly before calling it a "lesson". After the first chorus the guitar adds the E to F#m chords and doesn`t just do the Bm, G to A part. The third verse is completely wrong.
that intro just has you reflecting on life..

agreed - good job. rhythm at end goes Bm, A, G (during the quiet part).
That little rif after the opening was throwing me, turns out it really wasn't that hard but couldn't find anyone else who broke it down, thanks.
Nice touch. Acoustic in the middle of a Rock song. It still sounds amazing.

Excellent lesson. I wish this guy was still around.

hold the full chord (the method you said eaiser) and it's fine, and that's how even pros play it unless you're playing a solo.

play / Bm A G
I CANT download the tabs
+Andy Portillo Some copyright troll probably slapped a take down notice on the tabs.
Great job with everything, however, 3rd verse goes: Bm A G til the chorus again. No one gets this right. Sorry thanks for a great effort!
I call this... a copyright strike. Well, unless you're better. 👏
thor arrives in wakanda
Am I the only one who thinks this guy kinda looks like Sheldon Cooper??

You need to get you timing right. You're quite a bit out.
