Serious question: Why did this music just go away? Alternative rock from the 90s to around mid 2000s was amazing, and it just seemingly died overnight. People would still listen to music like this now.

I even just recently discovered Ramstein and The Hu, and I am over the moon! I have a feeling this genre will come back right around the bend. Hopefully sooner than later.

Besides being a kick ass eternally cool song, an absolutely inspirational video! Same here back in the year 2000. 3 Doors-Loser, Creed-What If, Fuel- Hemorrhage, Vertical Horizon- Everything You Want, Lit-Miserable. Awesome year for music.
True and it's always so easy to date being that it dropped in the year 2000. I'm sure there's good music out there at the moment but it's become too easy to release content, saturation means a lot of bands slip through the cracks.
My father who passed away years and years ago used to listen to this song on his radio in the backyard from a little shed he made himself that had a campfire outside. Those times of my life are so far away from me now but this song really feels like i can be a little closer to him even if just for a bit.
My husband loved this song. Reminds me of my friend Rosemary. They are both gone now, I put this song on to remember good times we had, puts a smile on my heart. 🙏❤️
I'm from the UK and no one here knows this song (apart from all the people I've forced it on), but when I was 13 I went to America on holiday. This song had just come out and it was EVERYWHERE. As soon as Napster was a thing, this was one of the first things I downloaded. I'd heard it nowhere since I'd got back home, but the band name and title were etched in my brain from American radio. Still one of my favourite songs ever, can sing it word for word as easily as breathing.
It's amazing that Brad Arnold wrote this at 15 years old while in math class in a small town in Mississippi. Saw them a few years ago playing in Fort Myers, Florida. Great show.
I'm just curious why is math so f****** common with my f****** ex and his f****** people that he f****** hangs out with Allison you know math has been so f****** obviously important and makes it very known like isn't that Brenda's like thing since you go to school for that isn't she too smart for you because like if she's participating this why would she ever risk her own career for this s*** And why would she risk her career for you someone who's capable of doing such a heroinous things I mean it just f****** bad bad bad but let me guess she's not a part of it cuz you tell her what she needs to hear so she thinks this and thinks that so you can keep it under wraps hoping that you can just push me around and push me around and push me around and push me around and if it doesn't end up that way oh I'm sure you're going to get mad I'm sure things are going to get out of blown out of proportion because of why because then it puts that little image of you and their little head and her little head of this not but trust me I don't speak nothing but the truth and I have already went above and beyond and told Mike truth including my Acts that I have done and the way that is being portrayed on the other end and the fact that I'm willing to tell him I saw because I've never committed any crimes and I'm also willing to tell them all the things I know about you and your brother and the things that I know that you're doing before don't know now let me tell you I got a few eyebrows raised I'm sure I f****** know it and I don't give a f*** about it cuz I just want you out of my life and the only way I can guarantee it is this way I'm sorry bye
I frigging love this song! It really hits hard when you're going through some shit in your life and it kinda helps you to build yourself character and regain your own subconscious strength and mentality
I was a Nurse. You guys used to play at the Mulerhin home( for mentally challenged patients )in Mobile,Alabama...what JOY YOU GUYS BROUGHT...THANK YOU.❤❤❤❤
One’s cool, the others super cool lol and together even more cool lmao. Being a mentally challenged nurse sounds contradictory but means you put a lot of work into it.
@blak3brutus229 not real sure how there's going to be a jerk who's thinking that throwing shade makes his battery opera rated light shine brighter. The Nurse that will take care of you when your day comes...and it will. Is a SAINT. I am a Former Marine. So if that makes me mentally challenged. I'm right here in New Orleans. . "you call me strong, you call me weak, but still your secrets i will keep. you took for granted all the times i never let you down" favorite lyrics ever
I remember installing a new radio in my car and struggling at the process. This song came on that radio when i finally finished... and i remember it always sounded so clear and well produced through my speakers. Every time it played that year, it was like a victory song for that radio install. Every time, I smiled :)
@@jameswhite6448 their video was made in 2009. Even if it was released in 2000, it would only be 19 years. I may be wrong about the release date but I went off of the release of video. Sorry.

Rip man, sorry for your loss. Dude has a good taste in music. I remember me and my dad listening to this song while lost on a road trip to Oregon at like 3am. Before google maps lol
Metal and hard rock are my favorite music genres by far, some classic rock is good too. I also like some pop songs…so I listen to a huge variety of music. There’s like a few country and rap songs I like too, like 3 each lol.
I am glad I could experience such good music in my childhood. 3doorsdown and especially this song makes me feel nostalgic for a time that just felt simpler
Although this song was released in 2000, it still reminds me of the end of the best decade EVER. Best songs, best rave and party nights, super great time to be alive and Canadians were proud of who they were, the list goes on and on. Sure, there were some bad things and struggles, but the energy from everyone was electric and f_cking fantastic. Miss that decade SOOO much.
Since then, the world has truly gone to sh!t. This damn pandemic and volatile political times, it’s on us to sort stuff and despite it all, I have faith! Take care all. Love from Brexit Britain (the cherry on top 💩) 😭🤦♀️
For me, this song is a bittersweet memory: it always takes me back to being a young teenager, watching my grampie fade away with Louis body dementia, and my grammie, steadfast by his side, with unwavering love. They taught me so much about love and life; 20 plus years later and I still think of them everyday.
Your lucky you were there to experience the love they had for each other. You won't get it anywhere else today.. People today have Lost so many traits that is old schoolers were taught. It's a damn shame. You can't even get a young person to get up for a handicapped person on the bus anymore. It's really sad to see..
I just remembered this song late at night in the depths of my brain reminded me of early 2000’s childhood nostalgia I think I had the CD version of this song
Crazy, this wasn't that long ago, but you can tell it is from a different era. Aside from the music, the visuals emit that sense. I really don't know exactly why, the American flag? The weird clothing, just the way the video was filmed? It just has a certain essence to it.
in my 25+ years of going to festivals, i will never ever forget this band's performance at lowlands festival in the early 2000's. I wasn't even a fan of them but they blew me away. So incredibly skilled. Great to hear it again after so long

Jesus Jr. Pena don't worry you'll have more bad music to come welcome to the new generation of music....crap.
We've still got good stuff, it's just a little harder to find :)
Jesus Jr. Pena the question is when is good music coming back?
ThatReviewerGuy good question
Who wants to go back in time?
The time that even without social media but you have been comfortable in life,
through listening of this kinds of genre.
not me... its hard without social media as you can't keep up with the friendships you've made. Its either you lost them or forget them.
I would start with the 60s!
This music video is one of the best ever !
It's a total blast ! 3 DOORS DOWN 4 LIFE ! 🦸♂️ 🔥
It's been 15 years?! It's honestly felt more like 5. I guess time flies when you're getting older :(
+Undead Nightorc But youre always getting older O_o, so does time always go faster than .uh..idk... paradox O_o
Yea it sucks I love the 90s. Next time we blink will be 80.... lol :(
+Undead Nightorc You are in plentiful company.
Bruh my uber driver said the exact same thing about time flying when you get older
+Undead Nightorc Too bad that in retrospective the actual amount of time you spent studying for nothing was actually more than half of your real life .
We used to skateboard with this blasting back in the day. Nostalgia
Bro, I still do that
Same here back in the year 2000. 3 Doors-Loser, Creed-What If, Fuel- Hemorrhage, Vertical Horizon- Everything You Want, Lit-Miserable. Awesome year for music.
Keely Leilani 100% the good ole days!

True and it's always so easy to date being that it dropped in the year 2000. I'm sure there's good music out there at the moment but it's become too easy to release content, saturation means a lot of bands slip through the cracks.
@@SwordTunethey are not making music like this anymore!
This is seriously another one of my favorite songs ever and 3 doors down is one of the best bands ever this song is a timeless classic 😊
Nostalgia is a helluva drug

The best time of my life. The good and bad of it I wouldn't change it for anything. I love how you worded nostalgia.
@@nanotis1624it seems like it was just yesterday that this dropped. How time flies by is insane.
My father who passed away years and years ago used to listen to this song on his radio in the backyard from a little shed he made himself that had a campfire outside. Those times of my life are so far away from me now but this song really feels like i can be a little closer to him even if just for a bit.
That is very sweet.

This is one of my favorite rock songs of all time. Can't help singing word for word everytime I hear it. Still sounds awesome in 2022.
This is bubblegum pop rock
An iconic riff, memorable verses, a hummable melody - this song is the very definition of timeless.
This is an amazing post. Thank you.
Well, we have a few artists over here.
The island is a different animal, this song was sooo big all over continental europe.
UK too, I accidentally heard the song as it came algorithm that I might like it.
EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEIR SONGS KICK ASS 🤘🥰

Could you tell me when that was? Early 2000s?

I love alternative music, I miss alternative was on the mainstream station and not just pop music.
Theres a local radio station that claims alternative but its really a repeat of songs or whatever pop songs the others dont play
IT's called Rock n Roll.
This is NOT alternative rock. The 90s alternative rock was horrible. This is post-grunge (same as Nickelback). It was as mainstream as can be.
