    hi this is very helpful thank you 🩷 I was wondering if you could possibly show us how to input different values of temperature? for instance, you have a bunch of time values and for each time value, you have a specific temperature (like at 3600s it should be 25°C for example) how would you go about inputting that into ansys ?

    • @AnsysTutor

    • @AnsysTutor

      You need to first find out the temperature effect for certain time period, for example for one day, then multiply with 365 to get whole year result. In general analysis we cant put such large amount of data in a single run. It would not be helpful. Mail us to ansystutor7@gmail.com, so that we would discuss how could you do that simulation.

    Is the cylinder solid ? Is the flow goes inside the tube or fluid is just flowing outside the solid tube with a temperature.
    Please ans quickly

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  4 года назад

      Its a cylindrical fluid domain, the total domain is fluid, the flow is inside this cylinder, the outer wall of the cylinder is approximated as solid wall. You can add thickness to the cylinder wall but in this case its approximated as zero wall thickness.

      @@AnsysTutor Yes, my problem is a bit different. I need to calculate via Fluent the cooling of a 1300 K titanium sample immersed in a fluid that flows at 300 K (and therefore the heat exchange between them) for a transient of 15 seconds. By doing the simulations, in addition to having set the boundary conditions, through Patch command, I see that I can only set a fixed value of the temperature, so the simulation only shows me how the fluid warms up, and not how the specimen cools. So I tried to implement your method in Report Definitions looking for a formulation not for the length, but trying to impose that at each time step the temperature of the solid decreases, but I'm not able. I havn't a heat flux data, only a start temperature for the solid.

    • @AnsysTutor
      @AnsysTutor  4 года назад +1

      @@ikki9001 do the titanium sample which you want to cool is generating heat at a constant rate or is it just cooling down?

    • @ikki9001
      @ikki9001 4 года назад

      @@AnsysTutor no, it only needs to be cooled by the fluid at a constant temperature of T = 300 K. The solid doesn't generate heat
