    If only 4,600 horsepower goes to the traction motors, then is the remaining horsepower eaten up for HEP? How much?

      Yes, it should be 800 for HEP. They can also generate HEP power when decelerating, because the have regenerative dynamic brakes.

      The same one as the MP40s

      I'm pretty sure its some sort of Nathan K5 variant that can alternate between a regular sound level and the emergency sound. Its basically become the standard on all of their newer equipment.

      from what I've heard it's a K5CA-LS they are on All passenger trains in Canada
