I'm a 57 yr old black man. I stopped watching the trailer as soon as rap music started. And will not see this movie. That's how much I loved Gladiator!
@denisespieces4744 we all have to understand Hollywood is a business and that business is making money. You all are prejudging a movie over a song that i'm certain will not be on the movie . They have to pander to a different audience. The first Gladiator grossed around 465 million world wide With beautiful symphony music . While Black panther grossed over a billion world wide with hip hop music. That's a no-brainer for Hollywood. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter if any of us reactors watch the movie.They're still gonna make their money

Harry Gregson Williams is scoring this. His music isn't refrenced in this trailer. He scored man on fire, amongst other s, and he's very good. Definitely not rap , more period musoc , epic movie music.listen to The End which also featured Lisa Gerrard too.

I agree with the music choice being horrible... doesn't fit. Seems flashy. Dont get me wrong i like the roman visuals but hopefully the story is strong. Looking for an emotional impact like the first but i dont think we're going to get it.

The visuals look absolutely amazing and mesmerizing 🏆 Though that's my only positive so far... The 2 brothers carracala & geta in the film are not African... annoying ? Was that a young Lucius stand in at the start of the trailer... Annoying ? I feel sorry for Mescal as his performance will be judged against crows in a no win outcome. I hope the rap music was only for the trailer ? And lastly David scarpa had written Ridley's Napoleon and we all know how that went ! So fingers crossed everybody🤞😳

I agree that the song didn't fit the tone of Rome in that time but I'm tired of reactors who doesn't know that a lot of music that's in movies like this are from centuries later than that period of Rome. It's orchestra with violins and trumpets that's not indicative of what music was really played in that era. Just say you're used to a certain kind of music in films like these. Rap music isn't just for movies that involves the hood or the ghetto as you can clearly see in the whole world taking and using it in their cultures now. K-pop is just music,clothes and dancing that's taken from rhythm and blues from the 80's and 90's era of r and b. Country music isn't just played in movies about the south and heavy metal,rock and other forms of music doesn't have a specific category of films they're played in neither should hip hop.

Kid rock music was played in the gladiator 2000 super bowl trailer. That was the first trailer.
