For sanding trim work, this is the tool.
One advantage of a smaller 3 inch pad, is that the (Rotex 90) center of gravity is better suited for smaller width work.
You want the center of gravity (the center of machine), to always be over the surface, not off the edge of it.

I just bought one of those, festool is getting cheap, or someone stole my assorted sandpaper., it came with one piece of sandpaper for round and one for triangle attachment.
I bought the 700 model router kit the othet week and they don't include the parallel guides now either.
I also picked up the kapex, seems like a lot of flex when extended, I can move lasers back and forth, tight to left an eighth inch.

Nice review. You need to keep the paper on the delta sander right on the edge of the foam pad. Otherwise you are going to eat into the perpendicular (side) of the object you are sanding. I love this sander. I use it quite frequently.

Hi how is this sander balanced for doing skirting boards, doors and trim? Thanks.

We'd feel you would find the sander easy to hold and manipulate when sanding vertically. Because of the right angle body style of the sander, best results would come about by holding it with both hands to ensure the face of the sanding pad stays flat on the vertical plane you are sanding.

can i sand drywall with this

Yes, you can sand drywall. The dust is heavier and so you want to have a good shop vac connected to help collect the sanding dust as well as possible.
Do keep in mind the pad is smaller on this sander than other units. Sanding drywall joints usually warrants a larger sanding pad size (hand or power) to span a larger area to better "fair" the joint (make it smooth, even and less noticeable to the eye). Drywall mud compound is spread wide over a joint so when it is sanded smooth you will not see any "bump" at the joint since the compound is spread much wider than just at the crack where two pieces of drywall meet. If you sand with too small a pad, your sanding job will be less even and smooth.
