Kalani is able to rehearse and perform her Nationals solo "Out for Blood" but her already sprained ankle gets worse in this clip from Season 7, Episode 27, "The Best Is Yet to Come".

What is wrong with Kalani’s ankle
People need to give more credit to Kalani. I mean she danced with a sprained ankle and still had amazing technique, flexibillity and facials. I didn't even know that she had a sprained ankle when I saw the dance for the first time.

She did a solo called out for blood and a group dance called survivor

She was a pro and a trouper! The back pain and then her ankle, just to name two...Back pain makes everything hurt and it doesn't put you in a good mood that's easy to push past. Sprains are more painful than breaks and can be debilitating if you aren't careful. I love all of the OG Dance girls, they're amazing! But I feel that Kalani, more than anyone else came in with the thick skin and attitude it really takes to be a professional dancer and a leader

I'm a dancer too, and from experience I know what it feels like. You go out there and nothing hurts (or at least not enough to affect your dancing or to match what it was before), do amazing, and then walk off and you basically get all the pain from the last 2.5 minutes onstage, AT ONCE. It hurts so bad. And then you wonder, "How on earth did the pain just go away for me to do my dance and then I get all of it combined as soon as it's over??"

I sprained my ankle playing basketball then walking down the stairs at a stadium then walking down the stairs at a beach house then walking and found a hole and sprained it walking in converse like major walking and sprained it just walking and did a 3 degree sprain and just recently had surgery for it cause I had a condition called ankle instability meaning my joint wasn’t where it was supposed to be and so I could sprain my ankle just by walking and I have sprains hurt worse than a brake and the surgery pain was way worse than a sprain so I feel kalanis pain it is painful but I have pulled through with playing sports still running jumping and dancing after I was told not to I am an active person so for me to being able to do those things it irritates me and I was a trainer in high school I also come by it very lightly my family has bad joints
I sprained the same foot twice falling down stairs and it was MAD pain really
