I used to adore Moffats crazy and confusing writing as a kid because every time I’d watch it today, I’d pick up new things. I didn’t like most of his writing in series 9 and 10 but after Chibnall joined and made the timeless crap, I look back on Moffats bad episodes and realise I took the for granted. I miss Moffat.

The Judoon can actually be explained pretty easily. When the Doctor ditched them back at the Shadow Proclamation during the Stolen Earth, he broke several inter-galactic laws by defying the Leader herself directly.
Also, the Judoon had an interaction with his associates, Sarah-Jane Smith and the kids, where they also broke several laws of the Shadow Proclamation and were grounded by the Judoon.

  • @dancingcarapace
    @dancingcarapace 3 года назад +7

I’m not surprised the Sycorax would be present. They would probably blame the Doctor for what happened to the ship that invaded Earth, which given that they both couldn’t know it was Harriet Jones who did it and they couldn’t exact revenge on her anyways, is understandable

Please tell me your thoughts after reading
I feel like it doesn’t work as an episode and would work better as a series
That way it could be written so something was inside, maybe Sutekh, Omega or Zagraus?
And it would be good to see more aliens.
You could have maybe 5 aliens or stories per episode?
Hell even bring back other companions,
    Susan, Martha, Lucie Miller, Romana?
Obviously to explain it maybe have them as some point in their early timeline in their first few stories.
    For example:
1 episode could have 5 stories
Story 1: explores the paradigm daleks
Story 2: Lucie Miller and the 8th doctor are in the TARDIS and get the signal and investigate
Story 3: Shoes an episode with Omega or Zagraus or Sutekh and then being inprisoned, maybe as a a red herring?
Story 4: explores the alliance being formed and new aliens.
Story 5: shows how it links into series 5.
Then that sort of format Each episode for 5 episodes
If you don’t want the 11th Doctor then do it as a spin off with past doctors/ companions or maybe even UNIT to lead into the finale so it can give fan service to classic fans, big finish fans, spin off fans (including the Australian “k9” spin off) and even reboot fans
It would also be great for series 5 publicity
And could really introduce Kate/Brigider as a family due to it being filmed in 2009.
If we got it as a spin off it would run so much better, provide fan service, raise publicity, could even be on the series 5 dvd/ get its own.
    Picture this:
It’s Saturday night 2010, Amy’s choice has just finished, and episode 1/5 of “Pandorica tales” begins.
Please let me know your thoughts.

Also Daleks: Oh no. The Doctor is going to *destroy the Tardis* and be *the greater exterminator* of *Reality itself!* We must form *an alliance* to stop *him becoming like us!*

While I admire Moffat's talent, I am not a big fan of his tendency to throw everything including the kitchen sink into some of his stories. It feels more like him pointing to himself and saying "Look how clever I am!" rather then just giving us a good story. Not that I don't like some of The Pandorica Opens and its second part, but it was about this time I started missing the more simple Davies years. Still, overall, the Moffat/Matt Smith years were worth watching.
