Kristin, do you make these salads after the quinoa has been refrigerated? Come to room temperature? Or do you eat it while it's hot? I've had a really good quinoa salad out a restaurant but I really did not know how to do it at home so thank you. I just don't know if I would like hot quinoa with cold vegetables.

I allow it to cool to room temperature then add dressings, and veggies. While you can enjoy right away, it is best to allow to chill for 30 minutes.

To make quinoa in a pot, you would need to pour 1.5 cups of water into the inner pot. Add a trivet and place a heat-safe bowl on trivet with quinoa and water. I have found that you need to increase the cooking time to 3 minutes to account for the thicker bowl.
