Yes the production of CAESAR's guns is much too slow. A tripling of production is already underway. Same at Dassault for the delivery of the Rafales France is relaunching its arms industry.
The Caesars ordered by 🇩🇰 are different from the one in the video, they're the newer 8x8 model (meant for export), it carries more ammo, has a more complex autoloader, more modern components, but also heavier.

FlyEye has a high level of residence when it comes to the signal jamming. Orcs were signal jamming and FlyEye still safely landed as planned. It is one of the few UAV that can sustain electronic interference like that.

The krab ( polish arty) has suffered 17 total destruction and 3 damaged while being fully enclosed and armored. As you can see armor is mildly effective on artillery specifically. Although the pzh 2000 (german) has had only 1 damaged while having a fully armored cabin. All in all i think the argument that armor is secondary on artillery holds up very well.

There is actually geographic military drone. The only one i know so far is the russian orlan 10. It can be equiped at choice with one gyro camera pod or one electro warfare pod or one cartographic pod.

It's a little bit shocking to me that the USA hasn't developed a system just like this yet. I know that they've tested the Archer system here in the US in the last few years, but I haven't heard anything about the development of an indigenous system. It's strange considering we put the M270's rocket pod (one of them) on the back of a wheeled truck to create a more mobile and more easily-transportable system (HIMARS) when compared to the tracked original (M270). Something like the Caesar would be the exact principle except with a standard artillery piece rather than rocket artillery. The nature of these Caesar systems allows for a much longer barrel to be mounted and therefore gives the system extra range over something like an M109 Paladin. And while we ARE currently developing a dramatically upgraded tracked artillery system with a much longer 58 caliber barrel, putting that 58 caliber barrel on a wheeled truck would still provide some advantages over a tracked artillery vehicle. These artillery systems would be mounted on the exact same trucks that are used for HIMARS launchers...so we already have the trucks and it's just a matter of mounting the artillery cannon. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if the US military decides to try this.
Caesar and the Swedish Archer system are a few of the wheeled SP howitzers being evaluated by the US Army. Towed artillery may end up being confined to non-mechanized/wheeled brigades.
We were too invested in battling with terrorists. We halted or did away with development of weapons in a scenario against a near-peer adversary. That decision is coming home to roost.
I think the USA military can count on the precision strikes of the airforce. An army with such overwhelming firepower in the skies (jets + drones) might not have a large need for shoot and scoot tactics. If they really feel they need it that bad they could simply buy these systems , not everything has to be developed in their own nation. Even if they bought a massive amount of high precision shoot and scoot arty , they would still be a massive net arms exporter!
@@shionuzuki5549 Which... kinda make sense since the US no longer has any near-peer adversary. Obviously this conflict is extremely useful to find points of failures to existing technology and a sneak peak into what could maybe work in the future, of course. All conflicts in general and this in particular, are their own little vacuum of factors... many factors being involved in this war likely never applying again to the US. Personally, my only real concerns are logistical point of failures and electronic warfare working too well (by which I mean only sometime) against existing US equipment.

This figure did not increase after more then one year, that's the good news. We (people that supports Ukraine) have to make sure with pedagogy and presence on social media that this figure don't grow. This is democracy and freedom, you can't have 100% of people thinking the same; otherwise it means you are in totalitarian regime. Cheers.

Nexter is literally exploding its production of Caesar, for 3 reasons : - provide French army (replacement and new commands) - provide ukrainian army (until UA wins) - exportations (new orders ever 3 months...) There is now 3 lines of production of Caesar while there was only one before the war. Thanks Putin to reinforce France and NATO 😂
Interesting to see this drone - they don't show it very often. For me most interesting part is that this thing has onboard AI that senses air currents and use them to extend the range in glider mode.
I presume United24 team aren't cleared to interview their crews just yet. After all, those are autoloaded and can shoot and scoot faster, making them more valuable than baseline 6x6 Caesars.
Nobody forgot that Denmark gave away all its Caesar 8x8 (the ones you see are the 6x6 which are lighter to allow to be transported with a C130J super hercules), but the journalist spoke about the manufacturer of the Caesar.. .Only regret, Denmark replaces its Caesars with an Israeli artillery system...
They speak about France, because journalists were attached to unit using Caesars donated by France (ex-French and ex-Danish Caesars have different chassis).

There is actually geographic military drone. The only one i know so far is the russian orlan 10. It can be equiped at choice with one gyro camera pod or one electro warfare pod or one cartographic pod.

It's a little bit shocking to me that the USA hasn't developed a system just like this yet. I know that they've tested the Archer system here in the US in the last few years, but I haven't heard anything about the development of an indigenous system. It's strange considering we put the M270's rocket pod (one of them) on the back of a wheeled truck to create a more mobile and more easily-transportable system (HIMARS) when compared to the tracked original (M270). Something like the Caesar would be the exact principle except with a standard artillery piece rather than rocket artillery.
The nature of these Caesar systems allows for a much longer barrel to be mounted and therefore gives the system extra range over something like an M109 Paladin. And while we ARE currently developing a dramatically upgraded tracked artillery system with a much longer 58 caliber barrel, putting that 58 caliber barrel on a wheeled truck would still provide some advantages over a tracked artillery vehicle. These artillery systems would be mounted on the exact same trucks that are used for HIMARS launchers...so we already have the trucks and it's just a matter of mounting the artillery cannon. I guess we'll just have to wait and see if the US military decides to try this.
US is more into guided munitions. Re:HIMARS, Excalibur, GLSDB, etc.
Caesar and the Swedish Archer system are a few of the wheeled SP howitzers being evaluated by the US Army. Towed artillery may end up being confined to non-mechanized/wheeled brigades.
We were too invested in battling with terrorists. We halted or did away with development of weapons in a scenario against a near-peer adversary. That decision is coming home to roost.
I think the USA military can count on the precision strikes of the airforce. An army with such overwhelming firepower in the skies (jets + drones) might not have a large need for shoot and scoot tactics. If they really feel they need it that bad they could simply buy these systems , not everything has to be developed in their own nation. Even if they bought a massive amount of high precision shoot and scoot arty , they would still be a massive net arms exporter!
@@shionuzuki5549 Which... kinda make sense since the US no longer has any near-peer adversary. Obviously this conflict is extremely useful to find points of failures to existing technology and a sneak peak into what could maybe work in the future, of course. All conflicts in general and this in particular, are their own little vacuum of factors... many factors being involved in this war likely never applying again to the US.
Personally, my only real concerns are logistical point of failures and electronic warfare working too well (by which I mean only sometime) against existing US equipment.

We don't forget it and honor their memory every year. Majority of french people support Ukraine. Yes, it is true, unfortunately, like everywhere, we have a minority of people, often linked to the fascist and far right movement, who supports Putin. We also have some kind of ambiguous discourse about "pacifism" (supported by some sector of the left) which benefits Russia. According to the latest opinion pools, 21% of french want to stop sending weapons to Ukraine, or because they like Putin or because they think this is not a pacifist behavior or because they don't care and think this is badly spent money . This figure did not increase after more then one year, that's the good news. We (people that supports Ukraine) have to make sure with pedagogy and presence on social media that this figure don't grow. This is democracy and freedom, you can't have 100% of people thinking the same; otherwise it means you are in totalitarian regime. Cheers.

We got around 70 more of these CAESAR. I wish we could send a couple dozen more to Ukraine now and put things in motion to ramp up the production, if not just to refill the army's inventory then in the prospect of selling a shit load of them in the future
Nexter is literally exploding its production of Caesar, for 3 reasons :
- provide French army (replacement and new commands)
- provide ukrainian army (until UA wins)
- exportations (new orders ever 3 months...)
There is now 3 lines of production of Caesar while there was only one before the war.

Interesting to see this drone - they don't show it very often. For me most interesting part is that this thing has onboard AI that senses air currents and use them to extend the range in glider mode.

Nobody forgot that Denmark gave away all its Caesar 8x8 (the ones you see are the 6x6 which are lighter to allow to be transported with a C130J super hercules), but the journalist spoke about the manufacturer of the Caesar.. .Only regret, Denmark replaces its Caesars with an Israeli artillery system...
