    Thank you so much Jenny. I know this video is not your recent one. I am a raw beginner, so this video was so good. You have a lovely voice and a good tuition speed. Easy to understand, yet not feeling hurried. Please tell me what trimmer you are using and is it the best Jo xx

    Jenny I know this is an older video. I use the same cardstock you do for base. My question is..... what do you use for colored base. Like to make Gift Card holder cards?

    When you spoke on say the Michael's and Amazon Exclusive Neenah cardstock that it was great for stamping but what about coloring with alcohol markets ? What is your opinion?

    • @JennyCardDesigns
      @JennyCardDesigns  3 года назад +1

      I like the Amazon exclusive Neenah cardstock for alcohol marker coloring, and the Michael's 65 lb card stock is good for alcohol marker coloring as well. But for both of these cardstocks it bleeds through, so if you're going to be gluing your coloring down to a card base or another panel then that's perfectly okay. I do find both of these to be quite smooth and take the ink nicely, and are able to blend nicely as well

    What weight paper do you recommend for envelopes? My envelopes seem to crack on the fold.

    Would you recommend the 110/190 Index as a replacement for a 65 lb? I am so picky with paper and can’t find a 65lb I love. I didn’t know the phrase dry. And that made so much sense to me. As a color pencil user, I like a bit of tooth. So I need a dry card stock for coloring. And a smooth 65 for my mini albums. I have so much paper 😂

      I too am picky with paper. I think this Neenah cardstock I mentioned would be a good choice. I don't buy any white 65 lb after finding this

    Do you ever use the paper studio cardstock?

    Paper weights and thicknesses can be confusing. The issue you ran into is a difference in an INDEX weight paper and a COVER weight paper. The Neena paper that is 110 lb./199 GSM is the INDEX weight paper. The one that was 110 lb./ 297 GSM is the COVER weight paper. The only indicator that is consistent across the various paper types of weights is the GSM indicator. So, when choosing a paper weight, go by the GSM ONLY. I use the Accent Opaque White in 80lb. for die cuts and card panels and layers. You can use either the 100 or 120 for bases. I recommend the 100 because it’s cheaper than the 120 and comparable to the Neena 110 in quality and feel. Just FYI, the Accent paper is actually a brighter white than the Neena. The 120 is uber-thick and especially good for building scenes or mechanisms you’d normally have to reinforce. There’s really no need to have both the 100 and the 120, though. I have it because it was on sale and I wanted to test them all. (For an excellent explanation of paper weights, go to Accent Opaque White’s page on Amazon.)

    what would you say the difference between cardstock and cover stock?

    • @JennyCardDesigns
      @JennyCardDesigns  2 года назад

      Hello, cover stock is definitely not as heavy as cardstock. Always look at he GSM to determine the thickness
