Charles the bold 7:54 amazing find mate love the channel followed since day one👌
Well past the 500 subscriber giveaway. Best wishes out there and to your channel.
@@detectingdaft thank you my friend! 😁
Nice finds, great channel!
Winner winner

Enjoying your videos. I've been detecting over 30 years and follow only a handful of channels but yours caught my eye.
Detecting allows me a bit of escapeism, just enough concentration to let the mind wonder and distract from 'real life'
@@NeilSpencer-ok4ol wow thank you Neil! I feel very prestigious to be in that handful so thank you! Great comment!
Great video pal, I just love finding history, my favourite saying is, you never know what's in the ground until you dig it out
That second stater is out there, mate - just keep going 😁
I love finding fibulas. When I first started metal detecting, YT videos drummed into me how personal they were to the Romans who lost them and that has never left me.
@@muzzychuck thank you! I’m yet to find a fibula, it’s on the bucket list. Cheers for the comment!
Congratulations on 500 plus subscriptions. I spend all week indoors, so I just love getting out in the fresh air 😊
@@stevepooler4219 cheers Steve, thanks for your comment mate
Congrats on getting 500 subscribers. I've only just come across your channel. I will watch your other vids. 👍
I love finding history and trying to imagine what was going on for that find to end up where it is. Plus you just never know what you will next. Top tip don't throw anything until you have examined that find. Be lucky 🍀👍
@@deanmcevaddy6930 thanks for your comment and advice Dean! Welcome to the channel and enjoy! 👍🏽
Congratulation on achieving 500 subs, (600+ by now), best wishes for your channel! Lovely hammer coin finds!
@@SilverbackXX thank you Francis! Yes over 600! Can’t believe it. Thank you for your support :)
Yet another excellent video - so thanks as ever for sharing. My favourite part of metal detecting? Being the first person to lay eyes on something that has been there in the ground for hundreds of years. Not only an absolute, nerve-tingling joy but a genuine privilege.
Well done on your achievement I am sure subs will increase.Detecting for me is relaxing and the excitement of not knowing what you may unearth next.
@@davemann3940 completely agree mate, it’s the unknown that keeps us coming back! Thanks for your comment!
Great Channel, I am relatively new to detecting and I find it is great for clearing my head of all the day to day stresses, the best bit for me is when I found my first ever hammered coin at the Spring Detectival 2023, It is a King Stephen Penny which apparently is quite rare. Keep up the good work and I look forward to your next video.
@@peterspencer4454 what an awesome read that was Peter! I bet you were chuffed pulling that up! Thanks for your comment and support!
Congratulations on 500 metal detecting is relaxing from the stress of work
@@oldpelon couldn’t agree more with you mate! Thanks for your comment!
Hard digging pays off! Great finds! My favorite part about metal detecting is not just finding something but imagining how that something got lost or put there in the first place and then researching said something and learning history in a new way I really quite enjoy. It's funny I never liked history until metal detecting 😆
Great video as always! The big bit of lead could be a palm guard for leather work
And favourite thing another metal detecting is being outside First. Then of course the hope that every beep will be something exciting,
@@StixBodyBlitz thanks for your comment mate, good shout about the palm guard, bit of a different shape to the ones I’ve had before but you could be bang on there! 👍🏽
Please keep putting up these great videos. What l enjoy about detecting is never knowing what’s going to come out the ground next
Congratulations on 500, now 600 subscibers! Your videos are entertaining and informative!
@@Stack_Silver thanks for the comment mate!
Congratulations on the 500+ subs! Love watching your video’s! Great finds too! The thing I really like about metal detecting is the hunt and not knowing what to expect. Going outside on the field and getting thrilled with each signal you get. Greetings from the Netherlands👋🏻
@@dennisvandertol5392 thanks for your great comment mate! Amazing to see you’re watching from the Netherlands! 👍🏽
@@CrosbyCollects very welcome friend!
Another great video, congratulations on 590 subscribers. I like to research my finds and understand the history, but the best thing is the invaluable help from the detecting community, it's a big friendly family. Keep up the great work.
Great video! Congrats on 500. What I like about metal detecting is you might not know what you will find! The story behind the item as well. Beautiful
For me it’s the research after a great day of exercise. Enjoy your videos, keep it up!
Great channel. Love finding local history
@@chrisrichardson-rx9kt thanks Chris!
You do great videos, Thank you for all your time and effort in producing these informative vids. Keep up the good work ;-)
@@dafyddiago thanks Daf! Really pleased to hear you’re enjoying them!
C'mon 1000 subs🤞
The excitement of the dig ❤
@@shaunwizard thanks Shaun! Only 400 to go!
@@CrosbyCollects won't be long 🤞
Loving the video's and each channel i follow there is always something to take away. I have only been doing the hobby since Xmas, but what keeps me going is the fact that one hole could be a hot rock, the next hole could be a hammered coin................you have to walk over them to find them 😎😎 So far I seem to be excelling in finding agricultural artifacts 🤣🤣, but you never know whats in the next hole, Gold stater, Hammered coin or even pre-decimal coin.
Great video and congrats on hitting 500 🎉🙌 my favorite part of this hobby is every hole we dig has the potential to be something amazing! We dig a lot of holes in a day but every single signal gives you that special buzz of excitement before you start digging because the possibilities are endless, no other hobby offers that in my opinion
Congratulations for your 500. I think best part when you dancing in a field, that means you find some gold😅👑 good luck for your next out🤞
@@egidijusmarcinkonis8706 haha! Yes! By far one of the greatest moments detecting!
Congrats mate! Only the beginning for your channel. Keep up the great content. For me it's the history and the thrill of what your next target could be.
@@diggingthepast thank you mate!
Yet another good video . Still trying to get permission so can't comment on that side being new to hobby. I do love watching others doing well. Thanks
Nice video! I'm just starting to learn more about this, but it sounds so interesting. I think the the excitement of the dig is the best and also being in the fresh air
Great video as always!! My favourite bit about metal detecting is it keeps my other half out the house for a while… 😂
Well done on the 500 Subs mate, happy swinging 🤜
Thank you mate, love your channel. Thanks for the comment!
My fav thing about detecting as a disabled detectorist and fellow manticore user is that it gets me out the house it gives me the exercise I need and to clear my mind being in the countryside which is great for mental health... congrats on your channel subscribers always enjoyed watch your vids 👍
Hello MiloKat! Congratulations, you have won the 500 Subscriber giveaway! Please ping me over an email and ill arrange to get this posted out to you. Well done - Jake :)

@CrosbyCollects thanks so much mate 🙂 I'll email now 👍
Well done on surpassing 500 subs, enjoying watching your videos 👍 not sure if you have already done the giveaway though 😂
I love the peace, getting on the fields early when the dear are still out in force ...then waiting for that first target and the unknown of what you are about to retrieve. Who handled that item last and what were they doing there? Bloody love the hobby 😁
Another great video, nice one mate!!!
Great video as always finding history and being out in the country side where else would you rather be 👍shaune in Kent if you choose me I’ll donate to another as fully equipped ok 👍👍👍
@@ShauneinKent thank you Shaune! Completely agree with you buddy! And a very kind offer to donate! Hope you’re keeping well and can get out this weekend?
Great vid again mate those coins are amazing
The best part for me is really two fold. I'm a country boy living in the city, so helps keep me grounded with nature, mixed with finding the clues to build a chronological, historical picture of the area bring detected 😊
Ps. On a different note, great content, interesting commentary, but it's there any chance you can dampen the sound of the pinpointer?
For anyone with any noise sensitivity issues, it's soon feels into the red on the "Argh!!" scale 😖
This isn't a criticism of your work though, i just have to be on the volume control all the time to cope.
Maybe I'm just weird though 🤪😂
Congratulations on passing 500. What I like about detecting is not knowing what you might find. Soon as there’s a good signal the excitement starts. Oh quick question, do you use standard settings in your manticore?
@@leesmith2310 thanks for your comment mate. Yes I do use the standard with a few minor tweaks. I find it works well for me so have never felt the need to change them! 😁
