Since a few of you think I shouldn’t have expected opaque polishes for this collection: They didn’t exactly need to be fully opaque. They just needed to look better than they do. You can’t tell me that red jelly looks good in three coats.
Like I’ve mentioned in the video, I have reviewed/tried a TON of SH collections and the majority are like this even when the theme doesn’t warrant sheer polishes. I’m just over it. I want to see them do something different. If they want to do sheers, fine, just make them good! These frosted type sheers have been overdone by SH. We need something new!
What a disappointment! That price is pretty high for those bottles. I have grown to really like jelly polishes and they could have done something awesome. I often think, with collabs, what if a more indie brand tackled that??? There is so much potential with ring pops looking like bright, dense jelly color!
Agreed! LA Colors has done some GREAT non patchy jellies at a better price point! This is just a lazy money grab.

I understand if these polishes aren’t your type, but I think Sally Hansen nailed it. These polishes look like ring pop candy on your nails. Not sure why you were expecting full opacity.

I really love the red jelly one. I preordered it last month from Amazon. It’s the only one I found appealing to me from this set, since I don’t like bright colors. I love jelly polishes though.
I can agree that with most polishes I don’t like them sheer, but for jellies I like them to be sheer and buildable. For a ring pop collection I think jellies fit, since it looks like candy!
The glitters/shimmers in this collection could have been more opaque though.
I don’t mind jellies, they just need to be good and I didn’t think the red was good.

😂cracking me up! Gotta say they got one thing right. The thing you dont like. It looks like the old candy. The plastic cream colors and the sheer candy colors. Total nostalgia. Not buying them, but where's Hillary! True to the candy. Ill give them that. I think if I were a kid I would love them

I love the vibrancy of the cremes together. I agree the sheer shimmery glitters aren’t great although the blue looks decent. The green might be nice over green or black

Fair but some of us do not. Also, they could be better and still be sheer so that you may apply one or two coats and the opaque lovers could go for three coats and a lot more people would be satisfied.

Thats fine. My issue is that almost every single shimmery glittery polish SH releases is very sheer. Don’t you think they could doing both? Not everyone likes or wants a sheer 4 coat polish all the time.
I'm surprised how solid that yellow cream was. Usually its the most difficult color to work with. I love the ending to your video- its almost like Sally Hansen hates us and is punishing us with ugly sheer colors. Thanks for the video!

The collection is fine, if not redundant. The first one and the yellow were nice. I think the last 3 will work as toppers over similar colors. Tfs!

I initially watched this video without the audio and immediately got the very cherry jelly. No regrets, looks great to me and is as advertised so I think it is just personal preference.

Not a fan of this collection as a whole. I definitely would have tried Berry go round on white instead of black.

Thank you for the honest review! My 3 year old won't sit still for more than 1 or 2 coats. I will pass on these and go with the sesame street one that she wanted instead! The bottles were really appealing to her and the purple is the one she had her heart set on. So sad to see that it wasn't purple on the nail!

I'd want them because they're ring pop inspired, so basically just theme/nostalgia. And I like to have complete collections, even if I don't really “like” like some of the other colors. I'm weird.

Besides the polish I think they really missed a great opportunity with the caps. They could have easily added gems to the top and did the ring pop wrapper all around.
That would have been cool!
I am right there with you 🤦♀️ I am not a fan of the sheer metallic glitter polishes. I love their collaborations but they need to make them look just like they do in the bottle other wise do something else. The creams look so bright and fun and I will be picking them up. The jelly does not look bad if you are into jelly’s for like a jelly sandwich. Thank you for reviewing this collection

Ring pops are clear candy so the sheerness of this collection doesn’t bother me at all. The thing I don’t get is the glitter - why. I wanted more polishes like the cherry red. You should have tried berry ho round on its own! It’s a healthy tint type polish in 3 coats I looooove it. It’s like blush for your nails.

I didn’t hate them (except for the last two) but I wouldn’t get them. Maybe the cremes but that’s about it.

Well If you’re thinking it, you may as well go ahead and say it, right?😂 I love your swatch and reviews every single time! ❤ Personally, I’m not a huge fan of most of SH polishes. Miracle Gel and Color Therapy have a few that I like. I also like the treatment type polishes. That is about it.

Just a thought, do you think someone at SH headquarters is lurking on Facebook nailed group pages or checking out reviews here on YT and seeing how some of the indie brands are doing some really pretty sheers and they’re unsuccessfully attempting to get on that band wagon? 😂 just a thought🤷🏽♀️

Sally Hansen is notorious for bad promotional pictures. The colors always look so nice and opaque and then I’m over here swatching them and they’re still sheer on the 4th coat lol
The green and blue shimmer/glitter polishes are super cute to me. However I am not loving so many collections going to ulta only or the website and not the store by me. I want to see them in person.
I’m surprised these went to Ulta first. Normally these appear at Walgreens or CVS first.
Oof, that's such a disappointment because they look pretty in the bottle. S-melon Like Summer would have been my top pick if it was actually a good polish, I love greens like that. Thanks for the swatches!
