remember this, we know your content well enough, but you have a family and things to worry about, we know what is your passion and what pays your bills and will support regardless!
Watch and learn, folks. This level of photography is what we all should be striving for. A picture tells a thousand words. Even the effing dragon fly was perfect. Dang.
Boy's I enjoy being entertained by you both very much, the thought in the back of my head now is if you love a watch is it the pay cheque making you say that or you really do think its worth the rest of us purchasing. Your name is your brand and that is worth keeping solid.
Yeah. I shudder to think how many 'reviewers' on here are taking the Schillings and not disclosing that they are. Dirty Indeed. I'm gonna get one of those new Baltics and then I'm done.
I’m missing a nice blue dive watch in my collection and the one I’m buying is the Longines Hydroconquest GMT. It’s absolutely fantastic. Not perfect but fantastic for the price!
I love love my Longines spirit titanium it’s a tank. I’ve dropped it on accident of course because it’s my only watch that’s not on a bracelet or deployant strap. But it offers so much value grade 2 titanium with just an amazing lume on an understated hybrid nato strap. It really is a true tool watch for me I wear it without any worry at all.
Glad you're back Adrian! Scrambling in the Rockies is a great way to re-connect with nature. Banff is lovely, was my back yard for many years. My $0.02 on most robust automatic movement: a spring drive is more robust than any watch that uses an escapement and balance wheel! Crazy the things you're asked to do as a reviewer, really appreciate you being honest about it, cheers!
You have many fans in 🇨🇦. I’m one. Glad you’re back, hope your visit was all you’d hoped for. The Rockies are gorgeous and one never gets tired of them!
It is (also) because of videos like this that you have official become my favourite youtuber across all genres! I appreciate your honesty, transparency and competence.
I know what you mean by becoming jaded about the watch industry. Once I unsubscribed from the grey market channels and went back to the enthusiasts channels (like your own) I felt much better. Lovely camera work👍
Keep up the great work AB. I feel a bit the same sometimes, Rolex this, AD's that, Swatch ??? etc etc. Let's just enjoy the beauty of the watch and keep it simple. Sometimes, I think should I wear this watch (its worth a lot of $$ now), what will people think about this or that, am I safe wearing it..... And then I just try to remember how I felt the moment I brought the watch and loved it wearing it. The beauty is in the simple things. And in todays world let's just be kind to each other.
Amazing video and masterclass in photography and production Respect the honesty and passion Love to see more of these type of videos out with the elements / beautiful scenery
Not commented before but always watch your uploads. Thought I had clicked on a phography channel when I first started watching. Really good intro Adrian. Loved it, thanks. Maybe you could combine your passion for watches with some photography work and start a completely new niche in the YT saturated market...drone, work, close up camera work, epic locations with watches as the subject? Anyway keep up the good work, always refreshing to see your stuff :)
I wish you would start a photography channel. I want to learn how to do watch videos. Not just about cameras but gear, production etc. Great to see you back doing Adrian content. Epic photos as well. Canada just has some of the best scenery I have seen. Are you planning to go to Norway for the northern lights at some point?
Hi Adrian, some beautiful landscapes. Enjoy your trip! A person as authentic and close as you is appreciated. I was missing you. Your followers are happy to see you.
Great video. I was in the market for a dive watch. It was between a used Rolex Sub or Longines Ultra-Chron. With it sapphire bezel and high-beat movement - it was no contest. Longines got my money.
It's good to hear from you Adrian, I enjoy your insights into the mid and upper market watch world. Back in May last year I bought a Longines full carbon Hydro Conquest at a very substantial discount and I just love it, yes, it's a bit bigger than the normal 'Hydro Conquests' are, but being all black, it doesn't look like it's that big.
Banff!!! My goodness but that's a beautiful place. My family took a brief one week vacation in Canmore & Banff in March. One of the best times of my life and certainly the best outdoors experiences I've ever had. We did tubing at Norquay and dogsledding. Unforgettable experiences… totally exhilarating and in one of the most exquisite landscapes I've ever visited. Thanks for what you do and congrats for doing it in such a magnificent venue!
Great to see you back. Used to love the walk and rant videos you did years ago. 100% behind you on the camera channel idea. On holiday atm and wanted to get a new camera, but I’ve had so many different opinions on what to get that I’ve ended up not being able to decide which one I wanted , so I didn’t get one and have just been using my iphone. 🙁
Totally agree with the Longines questions I've got the legend diver to me its a watch that stands out & will go with any strap you put on it. If you get a chance to review it would be good to hear your point of view.
Great to know there was nothing more behind your absence other than watch blindness and industry issues. Absolute killer shots and footage by the way 👌
Longines Bigeye in Steel is a Stella purchase in Nov 2023. Especially on the used market. A excellent column wheel integrated calibre chronograph for £1,500-£2,000. Pow! 💥
Great to have you back! You‘re the best part of AET, too. With regard to Rolex, the 32xx movements are having far more problems than the extremely robust movements of the past, especially the 31xx series. The Rolex Forums have a long and detailed thread noting these issues, so anyone thinking about buying a newer Rolex should be aware of this.
Also wondering why nobody talks about the movement issues. Google for 3235 movement issues and you´ll find over 1000 comments about it. What do you think Adrian?
That's complete bs. You cannot draw any conclusion from a biased sample. It's like trains, you only hear about the ones that are late, never about the overwhelming majority that's on time.
@@georgejung1989 I don’t think they are trying to draw any conclusions only to share with others what’s been reported in many forums about the new movement. It’s good we all share negative info that may otherwise be suppressed. Some people may not have heard this, others may have and bought anyway. I heard this and read the forums but bought my Explorer anyway and so far been lucky! 🙌🙌
Great to see the latest video drop, I really enjoy them. I discovered your channel during the first lockdown when I had to isolate in the spare bedroom for two weeks (remember those times?). Wasn’t a watch geek at any level until then, now a proud owner of a white ceramic seamaster and a black bay pro off the back of that fortnight!!! I am heading to Canada in 2024 for three weeks. Any tips or suggestions?
Great to see you back. Love your stuff. Q2 is just under 50mp. 3 is 60. I only know this cuz I’ve been wanting one for a while. Almost as much as I want a Sub date. lol.
Great to see and hear from you Adrian, glad you enjoyed Banff and the photography opportunities… if you make your way to the Pacific Northwest we’ve got great photography opportunities here too
Wonderful to see Banff again. I used to live near there for about 20 years and the place never gets old. Next time, make your way down to Waterton. It's my favourite place in the world and a bit better than Banff.
Really content as usual and on a level everybody can understand. I'm glad to see you enjoyed the beauty of Alberta hope you get back soon trust me the place will always amaze you!
Hello, Adrian, welcome back! It's great to have you here. I'm really enthusiastic about using my Fuji X-Pro2 with few classic Leica lenses - the combination is simply fantastic! I'm looking forward to witnessing your Watch Channel come to life ;)
Honestly you (and AET) are my favorite watch RUclips channel right now. I am also boring and will pick up my Explorer on Thursday 😅 really excited to build many memories with it!
Not disclosing the fact you've been paid to make content is actually illegal in the UK! Influencers have been fined for it in the past couple of years. Crazy that big brands would ask you to break the law like that.
I love your content Adrian. I would love to have a coffee with you and O’malley someday..haha, bucket list. Thank you for the honest content and beautiful photography. Cheers mate.
We need a state of the collection video Adrian!! Do you still have the Seamaster or the 58? Do you prefer the Explorer II or the Rootbeer? We need to know!!
Hey Adrian, I just ran across the fact the nato name was trademarked about a decade ago. I was skipping through my subs quickly this evening so may have missed the fact you already know about this situation, but FYI if you haven't heard about such a thing. I know it was certainly new to me. Beautiful area your in there. Back in my 35mm days I was blessed to own both M-series and R series Leica. I never souped the film myself, but did enjoy enlarging with some decent equipment with the how to develop, stop and fix still in my head. Take care and I look forward to your content.
Thanks for showing your cameras. Very cool. I'm still learning also. I would love to see how you set up your studio camera. Also curious about your editing tools.

Oh Adrian - very cool footage indeed! Plus I love to see the Explorer II in the wild again - But I never came across your rootbeer anymore? That one is killer photographed with stones, soil or water I suppose. Plus: Upgrade to Leica Q3? Have an eye on that....

Oisín, you’re not too shabby yourself. Cheers to the both of you, from Colorado 🇺🇸.
Thanks brother 🙌🏻
Boy's I enjoy being entertained by you both very much, the thought in the back of my head now is if you love a watch is it the pay cheque making you say that or you really do think its worth the rest of us purchasing. Your name is your brand and that is worth keeping solid.
It’s a great day when Adrian posts!
Thanks Tim 🙌🏻
One word - Authentic. Great content as always!
Thanks a lot Chris 🙌🏻
Yeah. I shudder to think how many 'reviewers' on here are taking the Schillings and not disclosing that they are. Dirty Indeed.
I'm gonna get one of those new Baltics and then I'm done.
Yes my man!!!! Good to see you back 🎉
One of my favorite channels. Solid camera work, solid content, solid choices with the Explorer line.
I hope we do see more videos from you soon. Your content is so to the point and feels so honest about the watch world.
I’m missing a nice blue dive watch in my collection and the one I’m buying is the Longines Hydroconquest GMT. It’s absolutely fantastic. Not perfect but fantastic for the price!

Watches, photography and guitars. I would absolutely follow that!
Adding a short part of each of your video on watches with photography or the gear will really differentiate with other channels. Cheers.
Nice to hear from you again! Thanks for being such an honest and awesome dude. (The Banff shots are killer)
Good to see you again, glad all is well!
Adrian, as a fellow photography enthusiast I have to say your photography and videography has always been superb. Keep up the great work man

Totally understand the fatigue. Love your honesty and independence.
Hi Adrian,
some beautiful landscapes. Enjoy your trip! A person as authentic and close as you is appreciated. I was missing you. Your followers are happy to see you.
I still watch your old videos to just relax.
Thanks a lot mate. 👍🏻
Great to see you back. You were one of the gateway drugs for my wife and I getting into watches. Cheers.
More videos please Adrian, always great to see your production
Great video. I was in the market for a dive watch. It was between a used Rolex Sub or Longines Ultra-Chron. With it sapphire bezel and high-beat movement - it was no contest. Longines got my money.
Cool! I’m from Calgary. I’ve lived in the U.K. for 20 years now. Great to see home in your video!
Nice to see you back Adrian
Good to see you back mate 🤙🏻
The grey market dealers (or ex dealers) on RUclips who claim to be part of the watch community🤦🏻♂️

Adrian, with the holidays coming up I would love a restock of the bark & jack mug. I love that style of mug and the company so please, hook us up!
Great to see you, hear you and see the amazing scenes you've captured 👏

You got my respect, Adrian, all the best on your photography trip !
I really appreciate the honesty about the watch industry, thank you.
Quite sure the Leica Q2 is 47MP, not 60MP (that's the Q3 perhaps).Wasn't going to mention it, but since we're detail nerds here we are.
Absolutely loved this video, would love to see more about your photography and videography, the equipment you use and the one camera collection
Great to know there was nothing more behind your absence other than watch blindness and industry issues. Absolute killer shots and footage by the way 👌
The best Q&A video you’ve done so far. Enjoyable and informative, and shot in a gorgeous location 🙂 I’m a photography enthusiast too.
Glad to see you’re back, plus that area of Canada is really beautiful rivaling the best places in Norway.
Love these type of videos where your just natural and raw about the subjects no bs 👍

Damn I still wonder how that dragon fly is doing 😂😂
I always thought I was the only one rescuing insects from drowning, well done! I'm also rescuing earthworms on rainy days but that's another story...😄
Adrian great to aee back mate. Pure class as ways. Currious, which is the Longines Chrono you mentioned?
Thanks for showing your cameras. Very cool. I'm still learning also. I would love to see how you set up your studio camera. Also curious about your editing tools.
Hi Adrian! Glad to know that you're out enjoying yourself. Love that Lica camera. I wanted to let you know that I just bought my first Rolex - an Explorer ref 114270 from 2006. Love this watch! The prices for this model have really come down and I'm so happy to have it on my wrist most everyday! Cheers to you!
Hope that you made it to Banff and Moraine Lake.
I love watches and have been in to photography for many years.

Hi Adrian,
Looks like you are having a great time. i really enjoy your videos and honesty. I recall a number of years ago you posted a video of you Dad's vintage Omega Seamaster, which I found interesting. I subsequently purchase a similar watch while visting my son in America. It is a vintage (1963), Seamaster De Ville, solid 14K yellow gold in very good condition. The seller said that servicing was not necessary, since the watch is running well. However, when I returned to the UK and after doing some research and timegrapher readings, I decided to have the watch serviced by a Master Watchmaker specialising in vitage watches (not cheap) and he did a great job. I recall you saying that Omega advised not to service your Dad's watch. I must say, I have had mixed messages from Omega and am not overly impressed. I am led to believe that it is easier to sell a new watch than to undertake servicing of vitage pieces, which is time consuming and requires specific expertise. I gather you are well into the watch business now and just wondered what your thoughts are.
All the best and I look forward to future videos.
Glad you're back on this channel...You've inspired me to grow my RUclips channel. I've be watching About Effing Time but it's not the same as the content here.

Next time you’re in the Banff area and feel like talking about watches and nature over a pint would love to connect !
wow what place to be love it. great to see you back!
I hear you about wach industry, or more specifically, its orbit. I'm late to the game, picking it up just before the pandemic hit. It's tough to be all-in with commenters, the hype, the detractors - and to your point - the fidelity of the brands themselves. Now, I wonder of what's really Swiss Made in my collection.
Great content!
Amazing Background Scenery;)!
Banff is amazing!
Great to hear from you again! Still waiting for the Mark XX video review ;-) Or just an honest opinion. Looking for one. Cheers.
