    Finally just bought 1. Surprised no lights. Another govee to the collection. I really would love to own every 1. They have something for almost every situation.

    Do the diffuser oils actually work well or does the smell fade unlike actual diffusers

    • @dutchie911
      @dutchie911  2 года назад +1

      The oils work well, the main challenge of course is the bulky size of the humidifier itself. If they made a WiFi diffuser it'd probably be better but this is pretty large to use just as a diffuser versus a combo diffuser/humidifer.

      They’re trying to perfect it I believe. There are a few models they have us testing and wanted to try to “pre” announce. I will say it’s pretty good

    Not sure if I'd call or "smart". More remote control via the app. If it had an internal. Thermometer with humidity reading and can set it to turn on via set humidity then yes it would be smart. Only way is if it's connected to govee thermometer.

    • @dutchie911
      @dutchie911  2 года назад +3

      I think a lot of their “smart” means you can control it via the app not necessarily that it makes smart decisions like a program like HA would

    Im not sure how easy this would be to clean. But yeah, give us lighting. I have a small one that does lighting. So i dont see why govee didnt.

      I’ve seen forums where they have another one in beta test if I’m not mistaken. Maybe this was a first dry run at the overall tech before making it more bougie

      @@dutchie911 That would make sense. I have a small one that works fine, so I'm in no rush to get it. Plus. This thing is rather large. More suited for a living room.

    Does this have the ability to automatically keep the humidity at a certain level if paired with the thermometer?

      Yes it does

      @@dutchie911 and as the thermometer is actually remote wifi and can be viewed away from home, does that mean the govee humidifier will do it’s thing in the back ground and you’ll be able to view remotely? Or does the pairing allow you to access and set the humidifier remotely too

    I've seen in some of the Amazon reviews that some people were having issues with false "water low" shutoffs. And in another review some one said that taking the grey filter plug thing out during operation solved this. I'm confused. What's been your experience?

    • @dutchie911
      @dutchie911  2 года назад +3

      I run mine 8 hours or more a day and it works like a dream. I don’t do anything too fancy with it but I do use the scented pad to add a bit of aroma to the air. Can say I’ve had any issues. If people have them it’s usually due to getting water where water shouldn’t be….

    Is this one also ultrasonic?

    • @dutchie911
      @dutchie911  2 года назад

      Based on what I read I think it probably IS ultrasonic. There are no boiling or heating elements to vaporize the water droplets so I’d assume at that point it’s ultrasonic.

    How easy is it to clean?

    • @dutchie911
      @dutchie911  2 года назад +1

      If you don’t let water stagnate in it there’s very little cleaning at all. The aroma pad is separate from the tank itself so the water doesn’t get oily or mix. You simply swap the aroma pad (if you even choose to use aromas)

      @@br3s3is I just ran mine dry and you can easily get to all of the parts to maintain them. They might not come out but you can easily clean them. I’d HIGHLY suggest though if you use scented oils with it you use the oil pads provided and ONLY add oil that way. If you add oil in the main tank you’ll ruin the device quickly. For what it’s worth, I’ve been running mine almost a month solid now (7-8 tank fulls and oils) and haven’t needed to do any preventive maintenance or any unusual cleaning. HTH
