Nine years and 77,000 miles….. it’s been just as phenomenal as all the other Hondas we’ve owned. It’s really not as small as some people think….. roomy and reliable….ugly? Hey, it’s not a beautiful new Accord, but when it’s immaculately clean, that little red car really looks great! And, it’s my wife’s car, but I really enjoy zipping around in it!

My parents' 2018 Buick Encore's motor crapped out at 42,000 miles because the turbo it comes with was putting too much pressure in the engine and the GDI system wasn't helping in the way of simplicity, while my 2007 Sebring is still running strong at 150k because it's NA and has regular SFI, and because I and the previous owner both properly serviced it at the right intervals. I took away 3 lessons from the whole ordeal:
    - GM is crap
    - Natural aspiration all the way/less is more with cars
    - Chryslers aren't complete, 100% dog crap like everyone says

  • @mikep490

If the noise bothers you, $75 in insulating material makes all the difference, if you want to do it yourself. Pop out the rear seat and side panels. Cover the floor and sides with Kilmat/Noico 80 mil sound mat ($70 for 36 sqft, enough to do my car). I went fancy for the floor and put in 1/2" marine closed cell foam, but the butyl sheets work fine and didn't need to get around to the headliner or front floor panels. There's little sound deadening in the rear and almost zero on the side panels and doors. Even your stereo will sound better... more bass.

The only issues I really had was the driver side window power motor had to be replaced twice and the coil packs if you buy cheap they don't last long. Other than that it ran like a champ. I had 180,000 miles and made the switch to a 2023 Ford Ranger. Hopefully it lasts just as long. 16 years is a LONG time for a reliable vehicle. If you can find one with low mileage grab it!
