12:04 when I saw they did a 2nd George Washington sketch my first thought was "oh no, they're going to milk this concept dry past the point of funny" because so many times in sketch comedy, or even in movies or music, something does really well and the artists try to force it. But Nate is right, they did a really good job with the 2nd one. I'll definitely give a little more benefit of the doubt if they try a 3rd one when Nate inevitably hosts SNL again.
I never had a problem with comedians who swear. Over the last 2-3 years I’ve followed Nate closely between specials, podcasts and saw him live. Frankly, seeing how funny he can be without swearing has made me see the comedians that have to drop two f-bombs per sentence as less talented.
I love Nate. One of my favorite bits is No Happy Meal, and most recently Nate as George Washington (Can't believe the skit almost didn't make it because it is already a classic and is so funny.)
Watched Nate for Atleast a Decade. Back when he looked like the star of The Lego Movie haha. Perfect example of 'it takes one' thing to make you blow up. Think George Washington made him a house hold name. So glad for the one sketch
That is very far from being true. The comedians who make the most money don't swear in their acts. All of the people Nate started with are still struggling to sell out clubs, while Bargatze sells out arenas.
@Superhunan yeah, what do I know? I've only been doing comedy for over a decade, hit 26 states in total. People I used to perform with have been on the Tonight Show and HBO. But, yeah, you're the expert.
He's awesome, and I respect your opinion, but he isn't top 10 funniest comedians in my opinion. I do love that he keeps it funny and clean, but you can't tell me nate is funnier than Daniel Tosh or Anthony Jeselnik.
Amazing interview. This dialogue needs to happen at least twice a year. Would’ve really loved to hear Rich ask Nate about how challenging/redeeming it is to play it completely clean while also triumphing in their respective fields rife with gratuitous profanity, overexclaimed punchlines and catchphrases, and self important platitudes whilst maintaining a standard in their field held by few peers. There is an “I” in R’I’ch, but there is not an “I” in “Well done gentlemen” 👍
The word “down” originates from the early days of the sport, drawing from rugby terminology. In rugby, when a player was tackled, the play was “downed” to mark the spot where the ball would be contested next.
In his first SNL monologue after his first ‘shower’ joke I questioned what is this hillbilly doing on SNL (I guess I didn’t get it) and then belly-laughed for the next eight minutes. Big fan now. Saw in Providence.
Am I the only male-attracted individual on here who thinks Nate is not only funny as all get-out, but has also had a huge glow-up from him early days?! Geez...! 🔥 🔥 🔥
Glad to see Nate is finally getting the recognition he deserves. I've been a big fan of his for probably 8 years.
Brother, nate has been filling arenas for a couple years now lol
@@tinypantsbatch1002 i think he means that. not every comment you see needs your correction.
@complexend4133 What correction are you speaking of, little buddy?
Hell yeah. I liked his joke about going back in time and not being able to prove it lol.
That's my favorite one 🤣@@sweatpant_riot4432
Accidentally found Nate on Spotify about a year ago. Since then he’s absolutely blown up and it’s well deserved. He’s one of my favorites

You are correct.
I totally agree.
“Can anybody else carry this sport. We’re tired”. Nate trash talking in the quietest and calmest tones is something we need more of lol.
Your Friend, Nate Bargatze is a perfect name for his special. Doesn't he just seem like the kind of guy you would want as a friend?
Nate is the kinda national treasure we all needed to restore our faith in humanity this holiday season in the US.
I remember seeing the little ad on the side for 'yelled at by a clown'... I have been a fan since then!!
I love Nate. One of my favorite bits is No Happy Meal, and most recently Nate as George Washington (Can't believe the skit almost didn't make it because it is already a classic and is so funny.)
I know! It's one of my favorite skits on SNL. There are MANY skits on SNL that should have been thrown out. LOL
His SNL Washington skits are the funniest from the last 25 years.
I love raunchy comedy but Nate is like that dude at work that doesn’t talk much but when he does it’s just sarcasm and hilarious

Hard to quantify how much narrower the road to success is for a comedian that doesn’t work blue. Nate is a monster.
That is very far from being true. The comedians who make the most money don't swear in their acts. All of the people Nate started with are still struggling to sell out clubs, while Bargatze sells out arenas.
@ok buddy.

Clean comedians are by and large more successful. Bigger audience by default
Hey bear 🐻 we love you and all your fans are so proud of you like you belong to us ❤
We love Nate have watched him for years
Best comedian out there today. Refreshing that he doesn’t talk filth.
Nate my absolute fav 🔥“ watching the game ?…..no, I’m at 30 Rock” omg… too funny !
Love Nate! And thanks for update on what he's up to this month (didn't know about him being on Chiefs/Steelers broadcast on Christmas)
Love Nate!
Nate's the best!
Love Nate! Funniest comedian ever!!

Nate is awesome..

My entire family luvs Nate!!
Americas most beloved comic, which is great because I been a fan for a long time
"No, the other one"
My god Nate is a national treasure

Love me some Nate. Hello Folks/Hey Bear!
I couldn't agree more about the Eisen logo
Is that a fly? Oh no that’s a BUS you better get outta the way!! One of my faves
Rich got his name right!
Nate is a funny dude.
9:14 that Starbucks joke is not 15 years old 😂
Haha yeah but it shows how good Nate is. He knew there was no reason to correct Rich and instead he just let the conversation keep flowing
Crazy to think that Nate used to regularly perform with comics like Geno Bisconte and Luis J. Gomez.
Am I the only male-attracted individual on here who thinks Nate is not only funny as all get-out, but has also had a huge glow-up from him early days?! Geez...! 🔥 🔥 🔥
💯
Lake Beach... all kinds of true...
He's a gift.
"Here's a joke from my new special"... 'That building is like from 8'
Rich: "OK.. so.. we have..."
Common Rich!! Common!!
*Come on, Ashley!! Come on!!
I found Nate on Pandora.
Hey bear
Hello folks!!!
I called Wayne Gretzky a bum when he was the coach of the Coyotes one night in Nashville.
Sorry about that.
Big Jay, huge Eagles fan. Get him on. Eagles are in the playoffs and Vandy stinks.
But he’s not funny. And nobody cares about the eagles.
Nate taking money to teach comedy made me think of Punchline. Anybody here old enough to remember that movie?
Hey bear!!!
Is there a more relatable guy?
Is his name intentionally being mispronounced or an i missing something?
LOS
Very disappointed in the latest Netflix special.. many repeated jokes....
Who Let the church lady in here😂 Nate never has or ever will be funny😢
Hopefully his Netflix specials, sold out arena shows and millions of dollars will ease the sting of your contempt for his comedy.
Begone, Troll!
He will. When you develop a sense of humor.
@Renee-r5h 🤣 that's funny
