    I love your joy in what you are experiencing in Italy. How wonderful to have a cousin who is 100years old. I am going to meet my brother in law in Australia who is 100 years old and I am so excited to ask all the questions you probably asked also. I understand that there is a lot to navigate around food in Italy. What an adventure this is. ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️

      @janmarsh5643 That is awesome! How did you find out about your cousin who is 100 years old in australia? Did you know him all your life, or did you just find him?

    • @janmarsh5643
      @janmarsh5643 3 месяца назад +3

      @ I have known him since I was about 8 years old and he was courting my oldest sister! However I live in New Zealand and he lives in Australia! I am recovering from an operation and I am hoping to go in late November. I have refurbished all my sisters letters into new albums. She wrote them some time before she died with cancer aged 33years old. She and her husband could not have children so they adopted a boy so he will keep them after Graeme dies.
      I am so happy for you being in Italy. I am thinking this would be the most fulfilling thing you have ever done. I have visited Italy twice and felt so happy there. I want to return so this trip will be a practice run I hope. I have been learning Italian language as I love it’s musicality plus the art and culture. Many blessings to you, Kirsten. I will be an avid follower of your channel.♥️

      @janmarsh5643 Blessings to you, too. Someday, I will make it to New Zealand and Australia as well. I would love to visit those places. One thing at a time.

      Lol. I don't know what made me say it. I don't think that they view us as barbarians, but they are probably questioning the authenticity of my Italian food.

      @@BecomingaGreenstalker As an Italian from Italy, I think it is quite normal that thousands of miles and many generations later, traditions have changed, in contact with opposing traditions and rules and different ingredients at hand. The rule of mixing pasta and chicken is itself “un-Italian” (thus, “barbaric” in that sense, because common in other countries, where pasta is seen as a side dish in a one-pot meal). We eat chicken with bread in a separate dish.

    Amazing that you got to meet a cousin who is 102 yrs old! You are very brave cooking for family you just met. You told them you were giving them an Italian American meal so no faux pas, right? All the cheeses sound amazing, makes us want to come try them all. Also, I love that you protect your noggin by wearing a helmet on your scooter. :) Andrew wants to know what kind of mic you are using.

      I did tell them I was making Italian-American but I think they were expecting something perhaps a little bit different? I will drop the link to the microphone I use here amzn.to/4e603Dn

      @@anywherewithkristen yes you have to have people on the other end that have done it. I had quite a few! As it turns out they just didn’t want. To be found! 😂

      @anywherewithkristen  3 месяца назад +1

      @GreenThumbGardener65 I would give that thumbs down if that wasn't a negative thing. That is too bad. In a modern world where everything's connected, I get the feeling and desire people have to be private.
