I shot the wife’s 686s 20 bore the back end of this season, it has 26” barrels, cyl &1/4 and we bought it 32 yrs ago. Brilliant little gun, brought down some terrific pheasant and partridges. Would love to try the 30” gun.
I subscribed this channel because this is the best channel reviewing Beretta O/U! Even only watching the review, it will encourage me buying another Beretta O/U. LOL
What a happy coincidence, I also have a 686 20 gauge that shoots wonderfully. However it took some work and money to get there because it started out as a Field model. Learned over a roughly 2 year period that Browning's fit me much better than Beretta's. Not being willing to admit I bought the wrong brand I've gone to Adjustable Stocks on my 12 and 20 gauge 686's. I also have a 687 Silver Pigeon III in a 28/410 combo to fill out my 4 gun Skeet kit. Take Note, the Silver Pigeon III actually came with a Browning fit. Knew it was perfect as soon as I mounted the gun in the store that had this set in stock and these Specials feature EELL wood upgrades. BTW, Tried going the Tube route and found I'm too old to swing around 9.5 lbs. of tubes and gun for 400 rounds. Going lighter actually allows me to shoot all 4 gun events and still hit well at the end. I've also found the 410 to be wonderful for practice, the recoil is nothing, it's the lowest cost caliber to reload, and the precision needed forces you to become a better shot.
When are you going to do a direct comparison between the old 686s and the newer 686 silver pigeon taking a look at manufacturing techniques, materials, finishes etc and giving people a proper opinion on which is better?
Please, please, please get a 686 field/game 20 bore to review…..I’m about to buy one but would value your opinion on the field/game compared with the sporter.
Good evening I would like you to make a presentation of the 686 deluxe. And if you do not find it difficult I want some information, in the deluxe model the stock how many graits is it and if there is a hunting in 30 inches ?? thanks
The Beretta is an elegant, beautiful gun. Not sure why you think it’s looks are “nothing special.” I don’t think of it as a bargain gun, it’s a great gun.
So I’m looking for an O/U for my 11yr old son to use in three shooting disciplines ( Trap, Skeet, & Sporting). For the last 2 years he’s been using a Browning Silver Hunter Micro Midas 20ga and has done okay. Now my 9 yr old daughter wants to start and will be taking over that gun. What is a good O/U shotgun for youth shooters to go into? 12 or 20? Beretta SP 1 or Browning citori cxt /or high rib? My daughter will most likely be inheriting the next gun too as she is rather small and might not be up to the recoil of a 12ga. I already promised my son my new Browning 725 Pro Sporting when he’s 16. So what do you recommend for kids, 20 or 12? Beretta or Browning or something else?

Great video as usual. I've recently decided i need to turn to the dark side and get a semi-auto to throw in the back of the landy. Ive basically seen the ATA Venza and the A612 to be what most people suggest. Do you have any thoughts on those 2 guns? Or anything else around that price?
Can’t say enough good about the armsan, sold many, they shoot really well, and they are great value. my experience of Venza is limited I’m afraid to a mild bit of playing.
The Weight of a 20 bore feels better in my hands so why do I feel emasculated when people tell me its a women's gun - Just don't have the upper body strength
Run a pole , lets see how many people that watch your channel are going to be spending £1900 on a shotgun this year , thats where i turned the video off lol
I've just spent 1500. If you are serious about your shooting it may be worth considering splurging out a bit, especially when low to zero percent interest is available

Great gun !
Have you reviewed the 12 gauge version of the 686 Silver Pigeon Sporting? If so, do you feel as positive about it as this 20 gauge?
I'm shooting one tomorrow at my work
at the range if I like it I'm buying this Gun try it before you buy it my Boss told me 👍🏽
At this price point, You'd think they could manage something slightly better than dead plain wood.
Do you have an opinion on the Fausti Class?
686 S Pigeon in .410 with custom home loads mint
My 20 bore 686 has auto safety. Can it be defeated to make it Manuel safety
Yes a simple fix.

Best replace myself with a female presenter - clearly redundant
Maybe a co-presenter for the next cheap to charming series. Might help with the innuendos. She could help with lube and polish the wood and all that.
Usually, you get what you pay for. But 1900 quid is not an insignificant amount of money.

Is there a 10 bore Silver Pigeon variant? Or any 10 bore Berettas in general?
Silver Pigeons are made in 12, 20, 28, 410 but no 10. I have never seen a Beretta in 10 gauge, I think you have to go with the Browning Gold Light.
They do exist, Silver Hawk Magnum in 10 gauge, it is for sale on Gunsamerica. Sorry I should of researched it before I replied!
Rare as hens teeth but there are one or two about.

Last time I saw wood like that it was on a shoe brush.
What about 20ga semi-automatic shotgun?😉
I have the Beretta 302 semi auto in 20 bore, good little gun but very rarely used now.
Benelli is hard to beat

Spent more that that this year on a shotgun, in the big scheme of guns that amount is not largely expensive.
I will for sure!
I'll watch the video no matter the price

First gun this year and spent over 1900
