I forgot to mention: the shaft on this lever, contrary to most other levers, does not spin. This is good for players on 2P side whose wavedashes/KBDs/IADs might be affected by the normal spin of a lever.
A quick question to Tony K. : We are now January 2022... So Are you still happy with this LSX-NOBI-01 Bullet Lever Standard ? NO troubles or premature "aging" pieces ??
Still loving it. I use it as one of my primary levers for shmups. Thus far, no signs of aging or noticeable degradation in performance, so I'm still quite happy with it.
i just got this lever today. It's great! I'm in love with the shift knob-style top. my only complaint is that it's a little taller than the JLF that was in my Qanba Obsidian, so i had to sand down a little plastic in order for the lever to move cleanly without grinding on the bottom.
I've read that the Obsidian is a little shallow for this particular lever, which is surprising....but kinda not. I threw it in my MadCatz Fightstick Pro, and it sits very comfortably in there.
The Seimitsu 58 is a compact model. This is a full size assembly like the LS-32 and LS-40. I would think it's based on the LS-40 since the bottom gate is exactly the same as an LS-40 gate (except for the shape of the inner gate itself). And when the LS-40 gets an Omron switch upgrade like the LS-32 did, i'm pretty sure they will use this exact microswitch assembly on that.
Yes i remember that on the development photos it had the green LS-32 actuator installed. The shaft on the LS-40 is much thinner so it wouldn't fit. The LS-40 and LS-32 are my favorite sticks and this seems like the perfect combination and the pivot on the LSX sticks seems high quality. I'm getting the standard and pro models in the mail tomorrow finally.
@@zackfernandez3226 Yep! There should be enough clearance in the case to get this in there. I say that because I've seen people fit an LS-32 in one, and they're about the same size.
@@ShadowBlade79 I had ordered the exactly both ls 32 and ls52 lol, 1 month ago yet to arrive and test , I pretty remorse buying ls32 and 56 after knowing these nobi exist lol. What I'm concern is not the tension as I can change the spring, more about the throw, the distance between neutral and maximum travel when lever hit the gate. It feels too big of a circumference on jlf that's why I ordered ls32 as the description stated shorter throw.
ordered the Pro a couple days ago and REALLY looking forward to it. We don't play FGs much, so We're mostly after a lever that plays really well with Celeste (Directional tactility benchmark). We already have a prototype N64 gate We designed back in Nov/Dec and printed out right before discovering the LSX, so We're extremely confident that it'll be an upgrade. Stiffer spring than Our LS-32 means it won't rebound when We release it in Cave Story (Rebound benchmark) and the various Metroidvanias We enjoy. Since the anti-rotation keying is meant to improve left-facing dexterity it should improve general directionality quite a bit. Our 8BitDo N30 stick is designed for Sanwa, so the lever is inset a bit. Apparently overhand trip is good for Our tendonitis. Hoping the somewhat taller topper doesn't infringe on that (too much?)
I love this lever, however I am trying to learn the wineglass grip, sometimes it requires for you to flick the lever with your thumb,I can do this fine to the right, however when I flick it to the left ,Is there a way to fix this,or the only way will be to get a smaller actuator?Does any actuator would fit this?Does anybody know? Thanks.
I just figured this out lol,for anyone who wants to know, seimitsu levers have a metal plate on top of all four switches, the actuator actually makes contact with those plates, not the switches itself AND those plates are actually bent towards the actuator,I just unbent/bent to the other side a little and no more reverse directions when I flick the lever,I had forgotten seimitsu levers were like that......
Yep! The TE2 should fit most Japanese levers, so this one will drop in with no problems. Just remember to connect the JST upside down, like with other Seimitsu levers.
@@ShadowBlade79 Awesome! You said you had the standard version which is the one where the top can be replaced, correct? Mostly wanted to buy this part as a replacement for my current one which has some left and right input issues, but I want the option to change the top if I end up not liking the style since I mostly play 2d fighters. But my current balltop also loosens when I play currently so honestly wouldnt mind the pro… haha
Sorry to just now get back to you on this, but to answer your question.......it performs GREAT for Street Fighter. Since Seimitsu levers are known for having tighter switch actuation than other , your range of movement is pretty small to hit each direction, which is great for motion characters. But there's also a higher tension spring in this one than most other levers, so it helps with your precision. You're easily able to hit the directions you want, when you want them.
Yes. You can change the top. To fit it in the Obsidian 2 you either remove the cap to change the lever on the Obsidian or you change the plate to a seimitsu S plate. Do that and it will fit.
I have both, actually. The Nobi feels closer to a K-lever, which is beneficial for Tekken. The LS-40 has a looser spring with a similar short actuation distance, so it's better for motions like in 2D fighters and shmups. Just depends on what you like more.
Total matter of preference. The big differences between the two are that the STD has a squircle-ish restrictor gate and lighter-tension spring, and the Pro has an octo-gate with a slightly heavier tension spring. If you play a charge character, you might have a better time with the Standard. But quarter and half circle motion might feel better for you with the Pro.
The body types are actually incredibly similar, to the point that some of the parts are interchangeable. One of the biggest differences is that the spring tension is higher in this than in the LS-40.
what kind of review when the reviewer dont even try to game with the stick... just talk and talk... how peolpe can see how this stick perform, feel like on hand or sound like ? very poor review

So now for a real question : can you give all the mesurements of the gate so i can 3d print it and never have to spend 60 bucks on a lever ?
Would love to see the stick in action on a case
Thanks for showing us the bottom, I think that just sold me on it
Sanwa mounting compatible? Thanks for the video!

Godspeed on Tekken and Soulcalibur bruh. Make sure you show the input display in the lab when you test it out.

Can I change the restrictor of this model for LS-40 square restrictor?
you can change the gate. The std edition comes with a notched square gate
are any of the parts interchangeable with other seimitsus?
i have a ls-56 but would love to try the gate and bullet top
I've actually taken the battop and put it on another lever to see how I like it, so it's doable. I haven't tried the gate on anything else though.
