My dad took my sister and me to Circus Circus in 1996 (I was 11 years old). I thought it was really cool and just so huge and sparkly! I VIVIDLY remember being on the midway level with my sis playing games, then looking down and spotting our dad at a slot machine- he was laughing and hooting and hollering and getting free drinks and making everyone around him laugh too. Hah. He was a gambling addict and an alcoholic. I was so torn because I knew he had problems but he was making so many people smile. He meant well and I learned to take the good and leave the bad. That trip made me fascinated with the hotel architecture and the rapid growth of Vegas. Well now I’m an architect and I work on hotels! RIP dad. 😊

This video brought tears to my eyes 😢 with the flashback photos of westward ho and stardust! I even miss Riviera and Silver City and not to mention El Rancho 😭😭 Circus Circus 🎪 brings back a lot of memories for us with our kids, now they’re are all grown but we still stroll down memory lane with them every year here, I can not even believe how Slots of Fun changed 😭 hardly anything inside
If Circus Circus ever gets torn down, I will shed a tear. 😢

Back in the 80's and 90's the Riviera was where I usually stayed so I spent my share of time at Circus Circus as well as the other great properties in that area. Glad at least one of them is still there to enjoy.
I rem going there when I was 9...in 1981.. was a booming place..Elrancho was close by.. things have sure changed

I don't think many people realize just how big Circus, Circus property is in terms of land and rooms. The recent renovations were much needed and welcomed! Two things they could do to really spruce it up: find a creative way to incorporate Slots 'of Fun into the main casino (maybe add another Starbucks, too?), and re-do the porte-cochère to give the property some real curb appeal.
Nice to see a positive review of this property. I'll try to check this out the next time I'm in LV.
I truly enjoyed this, lots of memories came rushing back from many years ago. It’s truly family entertainment which is good. Keeps kiddos happy.

First, let me say that on my very first stay at Circus Circus was back in 1982, my brother Bruce, my cousin Wade and I stayed at the RV Park at Circus Circus. We had a great time. I love Circus Circus, and I always try and visit when we go. I see the windows are still falling out of the Fountaine Bleu!!! Me, Tina, and Andy and Simone went to Circus Circus when we were in Las Vegas a couple weeks ago, and it was like a Ghost Town. Especially Slots A Fun. I love the Action shots of Dale! I have heard the Manor is not too great. I love Krispy Kreme! I always get a donut when I visit Circus Circus. I still need to eat at The Steak House. Next time we are in Vegas we gotta go. I love the flying trapeze acts. The Polemas are fun. Thanks for the video!

Awesome video! I normally don't comment but this was the most informative video I've seen compared to any other RUclipsr that has made a video about the property. Most haven't mentioned the RV park, or why there's a motel onsite. Great footage throughout. Love how you include historical information as well! Great video as always guys. Love seeing Dale back at 100% and on the trail again out making content. Your awesome! I was 11 y.o. first time in Vegas and of course it was at Circus Circus. I miss the fountains and this property will always have a special place in my heart. I really hope they give her the 1st class upgrade.

I have suck a love/hate relationship with Circus Circus. I'm so glad it's getting the much deserved love it needs. I hope it doesn't stop. Such an icon on the Strip, it feels like it was forgotten, and became a shell of what it was. It needs the renovations it's getting to compete with Resorts World and Fontainbleu. Fingers crossed.
Circus circus is a prime example of all the wonderful things we took for granted, but are now becoming so hard to find any place with old school atmosphere like this with All the theming and colors and fun and NEON lights! I adore circus circus! So refreshing to see a positive video on it. Hope circus circus sticks around for many more years to come
This was my first hotel stay in Vegas back in 1992. I enjoyed the Pink Pony restaurant most of all! Great video as usual.😊
Circus Circus has always been my overall favorite place in Vegas. Exceptional value. Was there in Feb with my wife and 4 year old and had one of the best most relaxing times in out life. Clean and everyone, and I mean everyone from staff to fellow guests were extremely happy, and friendly. We stayed in the Skyrise Tower and it's smoke free, not a hint of smoke and one of the cleanest hotels we have stayed at in years. Too bad Blue Iguana is gone, check in took a while (holiday weekend) but the staff guided lines very well and made sure no one cut. My kid was fascinated by the Circus acts and all the stuffed animals she won. They have my favorite buffet, and I've eaten at every major Vegas buffet. I hope the gem never goes away and glad they are investing millions in upkeep and expansion.
We stayed in the motel units at the back of The Stardust a couple of times in the first half of the 1980s (the rooms were cheap and very clean) and enjoyed visiting other North Strip properties, including Circus Circus. I'm happy to see the old girl getting refreshed, and happy to hear that it is not as bad as some people say. I've never stayed in their rooms, but hopefully Mr. Ruffin will refresh them as well. Great to see exciting new life on the north end of the strip!

Circus Circus definitely has its "issues", but to me the casino is a classic. I always visit Circus Circus every time I go to Las Vegas...even if I don't play. 🤡🎪
thanks for the video. wifey and i stayed at sahara past two years. we visited circus for the first time in 4 years and honestly, the place looks great we even ate at the new food court 3 out of the 5 days we were in vegas. place was clean. food was great. i do love the lights on the outside of circus. also the entertainment is great AND free! where else do you get that in vegas? anyhow i think its the best place in vegas. really guys circus is a gold mine. it always does a great business!!1 its always packed with people!! im sure phil ruffin made his money back already!!!! keep up the good renovations phil, cheers guys

Lived there a few years when all the “old” hotels were still up. I remember going to the Pink Pony Restaurant inside Circus Circus in 2003😢 miss it. Nice video!
The movie Las Vegas Ladies, filmed in 1975 at Circus is good caper movie. They even climb the side of the Circus building😆👍. I always enjoy the loose slots at this place. I miss the table games at Slots of Fun. They were always full during National Finals Rodeo, early 2000.

Great video as always!, Phil Ruffin has brought the Circus Circus to life again, it's not smelly anymore, some say, "to many kids", I really don't mind kids, and they are not permitted in the casino area so.... As for the rooms, I think Mr. Ruffin will take care of them in time, as he has done a great job in Treasure Island ( ups.. TI, I forget). Circus Circus is a "low end" property, and I'm ok with it, but it's so much fun. Hey, didnt Anthony Spillotro have a gift shop at the left , near the entrance?. The buffet is on the cheaper side, but it's adequate, it's better than Luxor's, not as good as Excalibur or South Point's. The steakhouse is top notch, a great ( not good, but great) one. Thanks a lot Dale and Paula, I have lots of great and beautiful memories of us ( brothers, family and friends) at circus circus, and will always return there, even if we don't stay in the hotel ( till they renew the rooms). Better stop writing of I will start rambling on about the great times there.
I miss the Stardust. We stayed there several times, and we loved Toucan Harry’s. Great food and affordable ❤

Walt and Simone were kidnapped by Krispy Kreme 🤣! Love the trapeze act and carousel slots are so fun! What an enjoyable video. I’ve only been in Circus Circus and Slots A Fun once and probably will not go back but this is a great video, and I had no idea that there was a motel in the back. You all provided a lot of great history that I was not aware of. It looks like a great place for families are just a person that’s a kid at heart.

When visiting the Westward Ho back in the early 2000's they had an act of a guy that would wear multiple hats singing songs while the nearby bar sold $0.75 Coors Light Silver Bullet longnecks. I loved that guy, great voice and talent given his confined space. Were you that guy??? If so, :) Thank you, they are some of the better memories I have of the strip.
I too have great memories of my time at the “Ho”! I wasn’t that guy, his name was Lance (forgot the last name), but I actually replaced him when he left. 😊🎶🎤

I got married at Circus Circus in 2001 4 days after 9/11. The town was deserted and we had the run of the place.
I wish they'd come back with all that neon and colored lights. The Stardust had the most gorgeous sign of multi colored stars. Vlogger Travel Ruby has a t-shirt of the Stardust sign, and I've never seen a better, truer image on any other tshirt. And the Westward Ho had gorgeous colored lights on all the domes. Unfortunately these new resort owners think the neon and colored lights are tacky. :( Those lights are what made us happy and excited to be there. Now the Strip is more muted, so tourists don't get that excited feeling when walking the strip. There's not much AWE inspiring views anymore.
a $4 cock tail? That's pretty much 25c compared to current inflation and drink prices elsewhere. Some places are $16 just for a vodka tonic
