With it being the new year, I want to start off by thanking everyone who watched, shared, commented or subscribed because of this video. Before this video was even in the process of being made, being a youtuber had only been a dream of mine for years. I watched video after video for years taking mental notes from my favorite creator/drummers on how to become confident in my instrument, while inspiring and encouraging others around me. The result of this video not only inspired me to do that, but it also inspired me to step outside of my comfort zone more often. Everyday I wake up feeling like this has all been a dream. I’m so unexplainably greatful and blessed to be able to do what I do, and having people that support makes it all 10 times more worth it. Apart from the skills that everyone commented on, I have to say the drums themselves sound great. To do that in a gymnasium is pretty impressive. Getting drums to sound good is a skill I wish I had.
This means a lot bro! I just recently started trusting myself to tune my drums! Piece of advice though, just go for it over and over until they sound how you want them to! You can only get better by trying!

I’m almost 50 years old and played trumpet in all the bands my school offered. We had a young man named Rodney that play the drums much like you. It was captivating to watch and listen to and I’ve never forgotten him or his talent on the set. I’m sure all the people you have watching and listening to you will feel the same 30+ after you have all graduated. Amazing talent and dedication you have thanks so much for sharing!

The tones you got from those...the tuning. Very impressive. I'm listening on my phones speaker but will follow up with some good headphones. I'm not gonna lie, the overall sound and crispness of playing and in that environment, I almost thought they might've been some kind of hybrid electric drums. I love the way you choked that 14” mini. Snare and toms sound cracks even if it is rather dry & muted....would love to hear you with some resonance & long decay on those drums. Damn right bro, I had a full ride to school as a percussionist, played in drum and bugle played the quints and snare, and played a 26 piece drum set for a band. I went to the Marine Corps instead and served 12 years as an Infantry Rifleman, I received a pretty serve brain injury my last deployment and can't get my hands and feet to operate independently the way I used to,so I got frustrated and quit for a while, but I have been practicing again here lately. My son and nephew have just started to begin percussion and I showed them this video and my sons eyes lit up, he had seen my videos but seeing you do it got him even more excited. Amazing job bro, you have a big big future and women love drummers, we are the wild ones hahaha keep doing what you are doing, it is amazing. You have put alot of time and dedication into your skill, can't wait to see you in the future

When Phil Collins auditioned for Genesis way back in 1971, Peter Gabriel said that he knew Phil could play before he played a note just by the way he sat at the kit. I felt the same in watching you. Keep focused and if I can offer some unsolicited advice, it would be to listen to EVERYTHING. Country, death metal, classic rock, 'old school' R&B, disco, metal, folk....anything that expands your drumming vocabulary. A writer is only as good as the amount of words he knows. I've learned the same about drumming.
