Well yes If you have a shitty day (because you are in afghanistan) you most certantly are shitty to other people. The commander probably understood that
At 0:41 - 0:43 the singer says, "Our commander is shitty, despite the fact that he's new." Why would a new commander be good? Aren't old commanders more experienced and stuff? Is there some context Im missing?
probably means like doesn't matter how new he is he is shitty, or something, im not completely fluent in russian so take what i say with a grain of salt
it means that he does not know the local realities. he has no combat experience. most likely, this means a young lieutenant who has just been released from a military school. who is stupid enough to send his soldiers to their deaths
I'm not sure, but I think it may be referencing the idea that older and more experienced commanders are typically severe and more jaded than someone who was recently promoted.
This is how Soviet soldiers fought, and then they came out of Afghanistan. Calmly, neatly according to the plan, with a proudly raised head! If Gorbachev/ Yeltsin had not refused to supply Najibullah with fuel and spare parts for soviet equipment, the Afghan army could have held the secular regime and for more than 3 years. But...
And now look at the shameful flight of Americans from Afghanistan. First, America helped the Islamists to fight the Soviets and with civilization in Afghanistan, then these wild Islamists defeated America and drove it away!
