Chester's voice was at its peak in the MTM era. He had fully mastered his full singing voice and belting, along with his screaming, which got heavier and even more aggressive. Rest in peace man. What an amazingly talented man taken from us far too soon.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who went back to some of Chester's best performances after his passing. Unbelievable how many of us unite through his and the bands music.
It also is amazing we do not stop hurting for all of their loss. I do not think Chris would have wanted Chester to take his life. He could have been there to help Chris’ children and wife. So many lives are destroyed on just one suicide or murder. I know murder. So, when my mother in law was murdered 3/8/77 at the grave which was too quick 3/10/77 and I was starting college in 1977 and she wanted me to be a lawyer. That did not work out as my husband a brilliant man my love , his mothers murder destroyed him then us. We were in all the newspapers. There is a paper holding the trial archives because my father in law paid someone at the court house to give him both trial transcripts. We did not know this. I had an author going to write a book from my point of view and my father in law was famous in his career. I went to the court house in 1993 with cash to buy copies of the two court transcripts. They are to never leave the court house ever. They could not find either. I said looking at them WHICH ONE OF YOU HAVE BURNING HANDS FOR WHAT YOU DID? WHAT DID HE PAY YOU? $15,000 or $20,000 or more. I walked out YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOWED. That money will not last. Or it will burn or be stolen but I won’t know when. So I loved this band because my son loved them and I heard them all the time. Then I fell in love. So this song must be about I am going to never do this again because he was committing suicide? I love the vocals of bands and music but now I am almost 66 and there are so many songs with many bands I do not know what they mean but I love listening. I can probably look up what this song means. I HOPE NONE OF ARE EVER IN THIS POSITION THAT YOU FEEL YOU WANT TO TAKE YOUR LIFE. LIFE IS HARD SND WE WORK HARD FOR DREAMS AND MANY WAOT ON THOSE DREAMS THAT NEVER COME SO HAVE PLAN B AND PLAN C, etc. REGARDLESS WE CAN NOT MAKE A PERMANENT DECISION ON A TEMPORARY SITUATION. My father in laws things were never touched. If you are going to rob then they go in quick sling things around open drawers it’s like a tornado and they do not leave valuables. So, I TOLD THE POLICE AFTER GOING THROUGH EVERY ROOM, a box of Vanilla Wafers on the island, she would not leave those out and I said THE KILLER IS A WOMAN OR GIRL. They laughed 3 months later than arrested a 26 year old girl. She wanted my father in law. Sorry most caps I can’t read out of my right eye. Blessings to all. Bella

This is purely amazing. I'm impressed that he's able to keep his voice and doesn't break - especially at the end where it must be very exhausting to sing/scream. What a great performance.
The emotion in all his performances were powerful, but this one especially just really shows how meaningful & real his feelings were about his songs. Love you Chester, death may have taken you physically but it could never take the memories or thought of you away. RIP.
Chester truly was (and still is) unmatched in his vocal talent. His live performances are just as good if not better than the studio versions, and you can hear every bit of gut-wrenching emotion in his voice. Rest in peace Chester, and thank you for inspiring an entire generation.

I just wanted to reach out for anyone who finds this having a bad day and i understand every word now differently and to pull anyone out of the dark. I hit a pot hole, my tire fell off, drug me into median, flipped my car, drunk kid hit me at 90, flipped my car 6 times, i went out the back windshield, broke every bone, rib, and jaw off in my mouth under the tongue, destroyed 2 arties, and severed every nerv. I stopped breathing before ambulance made it, I can never drive or work again. Also i have parkinsons now from brain injury was in a coma for 2 months here 1 year 3 months there bad trip time walking in the darkness "legit pitch black" looking for the door out. Hopefully if you find this and work is tough or upset trust me it can get worse, reach out. I already lost my father, grandpa, and best friend in the world and this was unexpected, Chester i get it now. It doesn't get better nor will it ever for me, but hopefully for you it has now.

I just wanted to reach out for anyone who finds this having a bad day and i understand every word now differently and to pull anyone out of the dark. I hit a pot hole, my tire fell off, drug me into median, flipped my car, drunk kid hit me at 90, flipped my car 6 times, i went out the back windshield, broke every bone, rib, and jaw off in my mouth under the tongue, destroyed 2 arties, and severed every nerv. I stopped breathing before ambulance made it, I can never drive or work again. Also i have parkinsons now from brain injury was in a coma for 2 months here 1 year 3 months there bad trip time walking in the darkness "legit pitch black" looking for the door out. Hopefully if you find this and work is tough or upset trust me it can get worse, reach out. I already lost my father, grandpa, and best friend in the world and this was unexpected, Chester i get it now. It doesn't get better nor will it ever for me, but hopefully for you it has now.
