    I love your attitude guys! People like you will be happy wherever you go! I live in Midwest and winter is here! I never liked this cold. Cant compare that cold and this cold. You remind me of another nice couple always happy and positive, Amelia and JP! Enjoy the country. Remember to be careful..I'm careful in USA! THERE IS NOT A PERFECT PLACE, REMEMBER THAT. BLESSINGS.

    Good city for retirement ?
    We love cool weather so we’re leaning towards Vilcabamba but we have not yet been to Ecuador.
    We speak Spanish and have lived previously in Costa Rica and Nicaragua.
    Retiring in 6 months !

      Thanks for watching, it is a nice town the weather is good. Some people think it is a nice place to retire. But it is getting expensive due to all of the foreign immigrants trying to live there...

    Much of highland Ecuador has that perfect 'eternal spring' climate -- for those who are not into tropical temperatures.

    Appreciate this video. Am black older woman and want to know the people in Vilcabamba are they English speaking people and the fruits and vegetables there are they organic, also do I need visa to enter Ecuador?

    • @theinfinitelivingproject7352

      Hi there! ❤ Yes, Vilcabamba was the most English speaking locations I visited in Ecuador. Half of the population is made up of expats. Fruits and vegetables are plentiful. Also you receive your visa upon arrival. ❤

      Conspiracy theories are popular among expats in Vilca. But really you'll just have to go and see. ;)

    I’m concerned with the recent rise in crime against Americans in Vilcabamba. Do you have any insight on this?

    • @theinfinitelivingproject7352
      @theinfinitelivingproject7352  8 месяцев назад

      It is a small rural town with a high concentraction of foreigners especially Americans. This makes the town a target. We don't think it is anything to worry about though.

    How's the internet and consistency of electricity?

    • @theinfinitelivingproject7352
      @theinfinitelivingproject7352  3 года назад

      The internet we had in our apartment was arguably the best we have seen in Ecuador to date! And the electricity rarely seems to go out compared to others areas. There is enough expats living there that the resources are there!

    These short-term Vloggers never get to experience the real Vilcabamba. Many myths are passed on, and while Vilcabamba could be a vibrant area, there are too many crimes, grifters, and corruption.

    • @theinfinitelivingproject7352
      @theinfinitelivingproject7352  6 месяцев назад

      We lived there for about a year. All the problems come from the foreigner community.

      @@theinfinitelivingproject7352 That's still the honeymoon period. After three years there, I have to disagree with the violent home invasions with local police involved, dangerous taxi drivers, fraudulent medical folks, scopolamine poisoning, bribes, and corruption on every level of government. Yes, the expats play their role in real estate fraud and other misgivings. This is all coming out with the Metastasis Case and the cartel influence.
