10:10 That pool!🤯😄 Thanks a million for recording your videos, you do a great job of that as well as being a top notch angler. Your vids are my absolute favourites.👍🏻🎣
Drew thanks. Love all your trout fishing videos. I wish I could walk and hike like I used to. I love fly fishing I’m totally at peace when I’m on the water. Again thanks for sharing. Be well take care.
Congrats on 50K subs Drew! Your content is far better than many of those other fly fishing channels on the Tube. You deserve 100K+. I would love to see more about how you plan and prepare your equipment and camper for your trips. Thanks!
@@LooknFishy Your videos are always amazing! I had to laugh at 4:30 in this one when you caught a *small* one - it's such a rare occurrence.😄 I really enjoy your videos, please do keep 'em coming Sir. Tight lines to you.😀🎣
We have similar styles. Dry-droppers, backhand casts, cable tie reinforced net. Suggest you stick a Tenkara rod in the pack, just to mix it up a little
I live in North Idaho and I have seen several of your videos in Idaho. Just curious how you find these places. While there are some good streams fairly close to me, I don't know if I have ever found anything quite like this video. At the end I noticed you said it was quite a hike getting out of there. I'm 75 years old, so while I'm pretty healthy, my legs aren't as strong as they used to be. So would appreciate any suggestions you may have. Always enjoy your video's. Thanks for sharing.
Hey Drew. I was thinking about getting a pistol. I’m a total novice and concerned about accidentally firing it while fishing. Have you done a review of your firearm and how you carry it? Also, what are your thoughts on Sig Sauer P226? Figured you may have experience with it in Navy. Thx man!
Not Drew here, but some experience with guns. Instead of just buying one, I would highly recommend first taking a basic handgun course. Almost every decent gun shop offers them. You will be able to use and compare different pistols and revolvers, and get an idea which best suits you. I started carrying when my wife started fishing with me, a S&W Shield 9mm. Probable inadequate for grizzly’s, but fine for 2 legged predators.
@@LooknFishy Thanks for the answer. Love your videos man. I finished the video after I asked the question and was able to see the number on your rod but forgot to say I answered my own question. Honestly I should have known since you almost always use 3 or 4 weight.
This is great, showing us the flies is a great help
Good Lord: what a BEAUTIFUL place! You are living the dream.
Beautiful!!!
That spot at 10:20 is like something that I dream about. There's usually a tornado or bear that comes along to ruin it, of course.
“Great fishing here” Understatement of the year. Great video.

Videos like this get me off my backside and onto the trails!
What a beautiful river! The water and fish are just stunning! It doesn’t get much better than this.
7:42 Wow! That's a fantastic fish Sir! 🤯🎣
Next time he went there, there were 20 people around that little spot. 🎉
Thank for posting, super big fish, clear water extreme.
Fly fishing paradies!!!!!
Sorry,no speak english.

Much appreciated! Definitely trying to do this as much as I can while I'm able.
Lotta surface hits. Surface hits are the best. A completely different reaction from the tug under.
👍👍
Reminds me of some places I like to go up there.
Hey Drew, what’s up? 50K subs, congrats!
Man those are some hungry fish!

Thanks for the support!! I have a few videos on gear but I always appreciate suggestions!
Never tire watching your vids. Thx as always for bringing us along.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Wow drew! I would definitively make a trip back to that location. Very nice.
I love it out there! It's a favorite

Great video!
Those are some nice fish 🐟
I just heard that fish and game stocked the Boise river today with some steelhead
Impressive fish man!!!
The only other time I've seen water that clear....is from the videos of New Zealand fly fishing.
Ever want to trade a powder day on skis/snowboard in CO for a day fishing, I’m your guy. Love the videos! Thanks for sharing
Love your videos. So relaxing. And your subs are growing! Congrats. Question- do you ever wear a hat or worried about the sun?
Always wear a hat...my camera is attached to it
Almost all on the nymph, except one, if I noticed well. That is why I usually fish with two nymphs, unless obvious circumstances to use a dry fly.
Top water or bust.

Got 2 vids linked in the description that talk about how I find streams.
yeah, yeah, love the fishing videos, beautiful scenery and fish, but what I really want to know is if you've had any run ins with bigfoot????????
Who needs Bigfoot, when those mountains are crawling with 600 pound grizzlies.
Had a friend who had a bigfoot run in in Idaho, but he doesn’t want to discuss it because of fear of being considered a whack job.
Do you cut the underside hackle of your Top shelf hoppers?
Not when I'm using firehole hooks. But sometimes with a lighter wire hook. Heavier hooks will right it better
@@LooknFishy im using the Firehole hooks
Awesome spot! Did you end up using the 8'6" or the 10' rod on this creek? Did the Chevy do ok on the trail there?
I know a few streams in Idaho that have better than average trout but they are not those that you just drive up to either.

What weight is the rod? You said 8.5' just not the W?
Haha...I never know what I'm going to say. It was my 4wt

I know you won’t say where so I won’t ask. How much would you charge to pick me up, throw a bag over my head and take me there??🤷♂️
I found this spot on google earth, I’ll tell you for a new R8! 😂 (Sage not Audi lol)
There's your price roy! Lol
I will ride in the trunk ❤
I grew up stream fishing . Walking all day long. This experience and now the memories are priceless.
Can't be that "remote" if you got a trail to walk
Get a clue pal. Game trails are all over the world.
@levifath I've been all over the woods of N. Idaho and NW Montana. There's plenty land up there that's never had a human foot track on it ...PAL
A nice friendly fisherman's exchange....
I have a similar fly I call the huckleberry. It is purple with a hint of black. Looks like a black bear in a huckleberry bush.
