Thanks for the in-depth coverage of this kit! I just got one and wanted to know how everything works! I hope you try each recipe in the recipe book and do a video on it 👍🏻
Cheers we just subscribed after finding your video . We love to home brew beer grow hops make mead and wines and others on our channel , stay thirsty friend and keep making good wine .
I got the same kit for the old lady the kit is good but yes the manual is horrible they don’t tell you when to put any of the additives in at any point tells you what additive to use in the recipe but doesn’t tell you when to add it. throw the manual away watch a couple of videos and figure it out are use concentrated grape juice with no additives saved a mess
I wholeheartedly agree. Home Brew Ohio does sell a wine making country wisdom bulletin that goes very in depth about the process, but like you said, I mostly just grab a recipe online with better instructions.
@@SustainableDan Thank you. I received my “Home Brew Ohio” kit in the mail and I have 3 lbs of fresh picked blueberries 🫐 ready to go! The instructions are confusing to me for some reason. I haven’t started yet because I’m so afraid of messing it up. Lol Your video is very helpful. I’m so glad I found it. Thank you!
@ playing with different recipes is the way to go. If it doesn’t taste great early on, try backsweeting and aging to help with flavor. Really, aging alone is very helpful.
@@510herbsyeah, I definitely didn’t think people would take it that seriously. I think Ohio is beautiful. Pennsylvanians and Ohioans make brotherly jabs against one another. It’s all playful. No hate.

Subbed for the subtle jab at Ohio
I do love my neighbors to the west!
Me too!
Hope this is an ongoing series and more vids coming! Subscribed and looking forward to it. Cheers!
Absolutely. I just started the first stage of fermentation on some blackberry wine. Once I rack it to the carboy I’ll upload the video!

Why not just use a funnel instead of siphoning? Is there a reason
Siphoning reduces the amount of oxygen that can enter your wine. In the long term, oxygen can ruin your wine.

@@SustainableDan eh, Lol I made one batch. It was okay. I think I did something wrong. But it was drinkable.

Love the video, dude what’s wrong with OHIO.
Ohio is a wonderful, beautiful state. Pennsylvanians just make it a point to tease our next door neighbor.
Damn bro hates Ohio
😂 no, I think Ohio is great. Ohioans and Pennsylvanians simply make brotherly jabs against one another as neighbor states.
What's wrong with ohio?
Maybe nothing objectively. I’m from Pittsburg, Pa and we’re brought up not very fond of Ohio. Maybe it’s a jealousy thing.
@@SustainableDan your steelers own the browns and bangals
Yeah what the heck is wrong with Ohio, a buckeye here, I liked the video but unclear why you would say you avoid ohio😮
@@flipper123tlcI don’t actually hate or dislike Ohio lol. An Ohioan would make the same jab against PA.
