    This should be the winner of Eurovision of 1966. The voice and melody. Sadly, it was missed.

      You can find numbers of songs with slight similarities, this song itself seems to borrow from an English song popular at time , that 60's sound , no Eres tu is from Spain overall completely different than this and this okay but Here's to is far superior

    If you want to hear real plagiarism listen to "My Sweet Lord" and "He's So Fine". That's true plagiarism and according to John Lennon, George Harrison knew exactly what he was doing.

    • @joeherbert7555
      @joeherbert7555 3 года назад +2

      Well actually, no. George Harrison admitted he 'nicked' the melody, but not from 'He's So Fine', but rather that great Edwin Hawkins Singers number 'Oh Happy Day'. All musicians 'steal' from other musicians and cultures as they continue to share their influences with the rest of us. In that way, we are all lucky.

Let's call the rumor what it is racist bullshit started long ago, they didn't want to give glory to the Spanish guy , whether from Spain , Mexico or Argentina, don't give credit for such a glorious song like Eres tu, to a Spanish person, that's exactly what this was and to a lesser extent is .
      Then and now you can take all the hits from the 60's and today and again nitpick , oh look that sounds similar,that does, there have been times of it ,but this is bullcrap.

      @@originnone Absolutely. There's a big difference between similarities and plagiarism. At least a dozen 1960s hit songs were VERY reminiscent of "Louie Louie". John Fogerty was once sued by his former record label over "Old Man Down The Road" - on the grounds that John had written a song that sounded too much like himself! He won the case.
