Just found your channel today! I got my first Coturnix quails 2 weeks ago (they were a week old) and I'm having a great time watching these 9 babies grow and learning all I can about them. They are SO stinking cute, and I'm really looking forward to the eggs that should be coming soon. Thank you!
Thanks for the tips Kenny, many good points. Thinking of starting but we like to travel on the weekends. Not sure if it’s ethical to skip checking them for 1 day. And I am from Maine.... the state.
As long as they're loaded with food and water, they're OK by themselves for a bit. I just came back from wv yesterday - birds fine.. going to ct next week and im sure they'll be ok. They're pretty resilient
Didnt find Whitesfamilyfarm link. I'm about 50 minutes from Maine NY and would love to have a network of people before I delve Into guail and chickens. I live in Elmira and on 1/4 acre and code enforcement is a pain in my backside. Quail and rabbit i can get away with. I have a garage or cellar space to do this and the manure would benefit my gardens to grow as many veggies as I can. I'm 63 so am limited to how much I can do. Thanks for any info. !!!!
Im looking to introduce quail here in Puerto Rico. I have rabbits, i recommend you check them out. they compliment each other well. Best manure, cold manure so no need to compost, can sell as pets, meat, fur hides, etc. 2x2x2 cage gets the job done! Do you sell eggs direct?
You talk about shipping within the continental US but do you also ship to Canada?............ which is basically just across the river from you. Are there restrictions between the two countries in terms of import and export of quail eggs? Southern Ontario is a whole lot closer than most of NY state.

I've read you can repair cracked eggs with liquid skin and still hatch them if it's just the shell damaged and not leaking anything.
