Its literaly the greatest car ever made. I have just a regular 2.0i for 9 years and I still love driving it like the day I bought it of not more, Id be over the moon if I had the type-R. wouldn't change it for anything but likewise mine will need to go to scrap because of rust even though otherwise its a perfectly running and driving and just generally nice car
That's what you gotta love about Honda they might be rusty and they quite often get left in a corner but when you want to just get them going to abuse the shite out of them they just work EVERY TIME ! loving the Honda content Neil :)

What a machine. I love that shape accord. Like the old BTCC cars. Surely its worth trying to source a solid shell and doing a reshell lads. Such a lovely car. I know we're behind 'real life' so maybe you've scrapped her by now

That is a fkn good looking Type R and with the amazing H22a7 5speed with lsd and with lots of tourque and that fkn insanly good sounding engine.. with that perfect balanced chassi that is built for track and beat soo many faster cars around a track..and u sitting awsome in those great Recaro seats with adjusteble knee rest and with Xenon lights from factory. just an awsome Type R like all Honda's Type R's.. sadly all 90's Honda rust alot!

Big fan of the h22 engines I have 2 jdm preludes. I hope to have the first fully forged h22a turbo in the country also, unless someone's already beaten me to it lol. I've been accumulating parts for years now it's going into an ek chassis 🤙

My Max pedos lasted a year and then one disconnected from the top mount and my wheel was only held on by the control arm.

That's Honda's for you, you can beat the absolute crap out of them and they still work great. Granted you keep up on the oil. Their motorbikes are no different. That's why they are often used as daily beaters or learner bikes at driving schools. It sure makes you appreciate their engineering that much more.

My old employer had a black ATR just like this - not long after it was "MOT'd" here in the UK I took it to have a full exhaust fabricated by a mate. You could see the engine through the arch in the exact same spot.
Bulkhead? Fucked.
5th? Crunchy.
Reverse? Good joke.
Interior? Moldy.
TEINs? Ancient.
Tyres? Shit.
But, once it'd had a good clean, it was genuinely a riot on a back road, even with a chassis that was a bit compromised - lairiest VTEC I'd experienced at the time.
Wish we could drive this on the road, so so good on track

Probably because most JDM cars can only be recently imported to the US while we have always had a load of jdm cars on the road since the 90's. Less so coming in now because of the prices. The Early- mid 2000s was the glory days when they could all be bought cheaply. I nearly brought in a 700hp r32 gtr for like 11k but was talked out of it, same with an sti type r. Both worth good money nowadays. Had a few civics, a pulsar gtir and a legacy b4 bl5 back in the day. Now I couldn't afford one with the way the prices are and having a family.

Just about every modified Japanese car you see in these videos, even ones they just randomly see at events, are so cared for looking and you can tell they're all fans of the early Japanese scene. They mostly look properly built and have tons of influence from 90s-2000s Japan. Everything here in the states is stanced or beat to absolute hell, LS swapped, riced for Instagram clout, knockoff parts and fake wheels, its cancer. Most people in the states couldn't give a shit about the heritage of the cars or how they do things in japan
