He was so embracing of the culture in such a genuine way - which he matched with his actions by consistently showing love to UK cultural figures by allowing them to inhabit spaces in fashion and other parts of the creative industry. Thank you Virgil for continually breaking down doors and leaving it open for others to follow suit. You will forever be remembered as a creative force, pioneer, cultural shifter and innovator. Rest in perfect peace.
A superbly eloquent expression of the ability to overcome limiting beliefs and give oneself a licence to create freely & passionately, as well as starting where you are, using what you have to get what you need, and staying humble. Reminds me of the film Luc Besson's Lucy where she started using all of her brains capacity and says "I'm colonizing my own brain" or better yet when Morpheus Says "he's starting to believe". Thanks for the inspirational interview!
Really cool interview. Made me think a lot of my times with how I grew up and what I was interested in and how I’m in certain places I am in. Especially being from Toronto and coming across different landscapes of art. The last part about consequences was definitely the best part of this as well.
aww man, the full show isnt available on bbc, nonces! been searching for ages as this is the most up my street thing ive heard in ages, anyone know where i can hear the full show? got a rip? Love
@@ineverswag a lot of designers wear really uniform outfits, like the same two colors every day. they dress well but a lot dont dress very interestingly

the older you get the more sense it makes, as your perspective widens
@@ro8510 Five years later I have a better understanding of what he's talking about, but it is still not very profound to me.

he is, without a doubt, one of the worst djs ever.
to be frank...this dude doesn't dress in a way that impresses me......by any means.
Bet he's gutted
Majority of designers don’t dress all that well
Yung Kei yes they do!
@@ineverswag a lot of designers wear really uniform outfits, like the same two colors every day. they dress well but a lot dont dress very interestingly
Virgil has a laid back style of dressing thats why
