Had you thought about extending the driveshaft yourself? Not a hard job, just sleeve it and add in the extra. I've both lengthened and shortened driveshafts at home without any issue. Great to review how far you've come both with the build and with your video presentation. Rapidly becoming a RUclips Superstar my friend and you deserve it!
I wouldn't waste the money on new camera eqiptment because there is nothing wrong with the quality and the sound as it is. 😁👍 your videos are never boring, all Christine fans will absorb all the info you can give about the build because to most of us its as close as we will ever get to being part of the Christine phenomenon that surrounds the book and movie and your build is possibly the best that I've ever seen because its not rushed, we get to actualy see the hard work and the struggle of putting her back together, its more real than the shows that show just sections in small chunks (rusty, welded, primed, painted) all done in a one hour episode. Shows like that are to coin an American phrase "a dime a dozen" but the way you are showing it is captivating and leaves us wanting more.
I'll never get tired of watching a Plymouth. I like your videos. They're not overproduced, there's no fluff or pointless chatter just to fill space, just a guy working on a car
Incredible sum up, first off, sorry to hear about the cat, but to me a animal is a family member, and I would have done it also 😼💪 also, The recap on the car in this video was well presented !! the best is yet to come, patience! and your amazing skills will make it happen! Happy New Year, to you , family, the cat, and Christine!🤟
If you aim at nothing it's real easy to hit and you'll never be disappointed. I'll keep my fingers crossed for your end of February driving goal. Bang on.
I love watching this come together and I think your video editing is great. You keep them moving along. Im out in my shop trying to get a crusty 65 Chevelle wagon back to driver status so I totally relate to the motivation. Happy New Year!
Happy New Year. I love the fact you're using a chevy to restore your Plymouth. When you want cheap and reliable you can't beat a GM vehicle. I'm really enjoying your project and can't wait to see you out driving it. It would be very cool if I seen you in it at Carlisle this year.
It’s great to look back and see the progress, your videos are really interesting and inspiring. Can’t wait to see the Plymouth on the road. Best wishes for the new year.
Thank you so much for all your videos! I joined from my other channel on part 3 and have loved watching every part since then you truly have made my year honestly, saving this beautiful part of history in a really down to earth way is so special and I can’t wait to continue into 2025! Thanks again and a happy new year!
Really amazed how little money you have in this project. Amazing progress in such a short time! Inspiring to the rest of us to make progress on our own projects. I love this build and your 59 Buick. Happy New Year!
I have a pair of reproduced '58 Stone Guards that I make out of ABS plastic and Chrome Vinyl. I'd be happy to send them to you to use on your car. I've been lurking in the shadows and following your build all along. Your skills are super impressive and i'm looking forward to your progress on this thing.
Далеко не кожна людина може взятися за такий об'єм роботи, але я прекрасно розумію твоє захоплення цим проектом. Це вражає) Най щастить, бажаю розвитку каналу і задоволення від процесу🎉
Totally fascinated with this project, amazing skills. Your videos are great, looking forward to the next episode. Good luck for the new year, greetings from London 👍🏻
I have watched this from your first posting right after that I subscribed and have followed along every since,I'll be watching, car's looking good,as good as you wield why not make a drive shaft using a shaft from a wagon, string line, straight edge, hose clamp and a cut off wheel, the head is just a plug in the end of the tube keep everything in correct oration works ever time, hope Christmas was great, here's wishing you a vary Happy New Year,God bless and peace out
How much spline engagement is at the tail of the transmission it still may have enough left . Your suspension is at full travel now it may get closer on the ground. Love the thinking outside the box of this build.
When i was a small kid 7 to 9 year old in in 1977 1979 in a suburb to Stockholm sweden ther was an red and white 1957 or 1958 plymoth savoy 4 door sedan parked on the Street on my way to school . Now i got a 1989 caprice wagon with a rusty driver floor and black brown colant water crack in head or a bad headgasket so much vacum hosees a nigtmare i replaced the intake gasket not so long ago
I've really enjoyed these videos, including that nissan 4x4 repair you did. I watched a video series on youtube channel Cortina City of the guy who was piecing together british cars that had extreme rust, where like three cars made one restored car, ....intense, considering european cars have had light sheetmetal and the weather is like where I am on the southern oregon coast, wet and corrosive.
Don't bring back the car cuz the old man was selling the Sht hole & buying a condo. Darnel's is closed due to the death of the owner having a tight squeeze in rent prices. Here for the long haul. Happy New yr.
Not sure how practical it would be, but Dean - a friend of Scott over at Cold War Motors has several forward look Plymouths in his inventory and he ships parts - might be worth reaching out to him for bits and pieces. Seems like there are a ton of them up in Alberta.
You did a great job painting the driver door red and putting the trim on. Do you have the rest of the trim for the car and are you gonna paint the rest of the car red to match the door?

My 57 Catalina has a custom drive shaft. I've yet to determine why.

I try to keep it that way. I’ll throw in a few establishing shots or try to fill you guys in while I work.
Honest and down to earth is the appeal for me, and I love seeing a basket case come back to life - and kitties too!
Enjoying your build. When I was a kid my family owned a 57 Plymouth Plaza four door. I had forgotten this car until I found your build. Good memories
You build cars the way I like. Hard work!! Anxious to see you get it done, but dont rush. I like seeing these videos. Thanks for your work!!
I appreciate that. I like watching people build with what they have as well.

For me it’s just easier to move the engine back. 😆 plus. More room for a radiator that way.
How much spline engagement is at the tail of the transmission it still may have enough left . Your suspension is at full travel now it may get closer on the ground. Love the thinking outside the box of this build.
Zero. The slip yoke is just barely touching the tail shaft.

I would replace the driveshaft. moving the engine and trans aback my be more trouble. i think
Maybe. I did it in a 59 Buick I built. It wasn’t bad.
When i was a small kid 7 to 9 year old in in 1977 1979 in a suburb to Stockholm sweden ther was an red and white 1957 or 1958 plymoth savoy 4 door sedan parked on the Street on my way to school . Where you at? I plan on doing some events.
@ awesome. Not too far Pennsylvania.. I will definitely do my best to make an event down the road.
@@JimHoltslander ah. Yeah that’s not far at all. Maybe Carlisle or something.

Part 2 of the Nissan is filmed! Will be up next week.
It's crazy to see how far it's come, you really are amazing on what you have done/continue to do.
As always. I appreciate your enthusiasm and support throughout this whole build.
Don't bring back the car cuz the old man was selling the Sht hole & buying a condo. Darnel's is closed due to the death of the owner having a tight squeeze in rent prices. Here for the long haul. Happy New yr.
😆 happy new year!
Lol

I should have a few parts on the way soon. 🤞
Im really impressed with what you have done. My question i have is what are you going to do for the chrome side trim???
Gonna have to find it.
You did a great job painting the driver door red and putting the trim on. Do you have the rest of the trim for the car and are you gonna paint the rest of the car red to match the door?
That was just a preview of what the whole car will look like ;)
When you will sand this rusty metal ???
I'm not 100 percent caught up with the build series, it's a body swap from what?
1990 Caprice Wagon,
Amigo de uma olhada nesse ferro velho, quem sabe tem alguma peça pra você usar.
