Plywood (6 mm)
Split plywood circles (1 mm, 2-layer)
Aluminum tubes (OD 4 mm, 6 mm, 8 mm)
Metal links (6 mm)
Bearings (6 mm - 13 mm - 5 mm)
Bicycle tubes
Rubber tubes (OD 8 mm)
Screws (2 mm, 3 mm)
Plywood shapes made with CNC milling machine.
The transmission is installed on 2020 Bronco concept.
More building process is on the channel.

Id assume it's a combination of things.
There are other videos similar to this, part of the appeal IMO is that it's somewhat of a simulation, somewhat like porn.
It draws people in. Ever see those lol surprise ball opening videos? Now THAT'S even worse, in ways.
So vanity? Okay i can see that. But to deny the other reasons is not logical.
I think it's a waste of time, in some ways, and if i watch more of these I'll be speeding it up and watching for technical details and ideas, as i build cool stuff! :)

Кропотливая работа несомненно, но некоторые решения сомнительны.
В первом звене редуктора, где передается момент от моторов, использование ременной передачи еще вполне возможно, но следующие - намного эффективней использовать шестерни , раз уж все равно есть чем вырезать детали. Не будет проскальзывания, нет нужны в натяжителях, в итоге меньше потери на трение.
Это все ИМХО, конечно же, но при таком высоком уровне проектирования и реализации данное решение выглядит не оптимальным.
