Woah, a german pianist with a latin heart! Man, you're a legend, thanks for this. I find your tutorial useful and really lovely. These harmonizations just leave a tear of joy in my eyes, and a lot of stuff to study. Long live music, the only real universal language!
btw, I'm a profession salsa dancer/instructor. I just started picking up montunos on piano and I hear the music like never before. Thanks for all you show us it is great talent you have
It is so well explained.....thanks a lot!The two first videos please me very much.Have you a few guajiras-montuno explained on you tube?I like these melodies so much!And it is so easy to learn with you!You're welcome!
at aprx 10:15 of your video you said the play of those notes was for variation - just for the Coro or trumpet play sort of like a small FILL or quick Bridge... The Fm7th is what I heard that was flat Sir... Plz correct me with a better chord. I am a Beginner to intermediate level an Im serious about learning Sir. Thanks for your time in this note request Sir!!!.
the Fm7th sounds really off key in the Montuno Sir. How can I take away that Flat -off-sounding note and replace with something Else - What do you suggest. I see my brother do Live-Sound and I'm just saying not criticizing you Sir..no at all, But I have seen the Pianist for Grupo Swing, Michael Stuart, Frankie and Viti Ruiz, Frankie Negron and many Top Latin bands as i stood right next to and heard each Salsa Bands pianist - and Never Heard the off sound of the Fm7th Sir. Again this is conversation for you and I, I am NOT CRITICIZING YOU - Just asking how to avoid that flat 7th Sound iz all...plz suggest to me I am Humble as Pie a Christian Sir...just seeking out a better note iz all k!!! Plz advise me and plz do not be offended, Just asking for your help in reality!!! Thank you Sir!.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts about this. Honestly, I find it great that you can determine precisely what's bothering you about the used reharmonization. That's a perfect starting point to modify the version in my video to create your perfect piano tumbao. And if you like: just share it with us.

It is explained afterwards. Reharmonization is great fun. I love "playing" with the music. It's all about being creative at the end...
could you please tell me where did you get the background salsa beat music? would really appreciate
the percussion are some apple loops, the bass is a MIDI-track.
Could you share them? if that's not too much to ask. Thanks for the tutorials, they are great.
@LaMusicaInteligente
Thanks for your comment. I recommend starting with lesson #1 and #2, I explain some basic steps there.
Sehr gutes Video! Langsam wird schwerer...;)

This video is not in good focus, it’s hard to see which notes your fingers are on. I’m just learning I’m not as good as everyone else.
