Great video. I often bracket with ISO instead of shutter speed. Particularity when it is windy. I wish it was automated.
You can bracket sensitivity if you shoot Pentax.
Hi Ed my question is, would Ansel Adams had used a 6400 iso if it was possible ?
Probably if the shot was right for it. 🙂
Only Ansel Adams could answer that, and he can't, as he has been dead for a long time. I can't speak for him, but I doubt if he would have used Photoshop generative fill.
@@kennethrohen5963 Ansel said he was looking forward to the digital age and the digital darkroom, but I don't think he would have embraced the CGI nature of a lot of what's going on now and accepted as "photography." The lines have blurred so much that photography as any kind of art form is dead. And Ansel would have been upset by that as he championed photography as art his whole life.
@@kennethrohen5963 We can't speak for him obviously. I think he would use any tool at his disposal. Because when he was alive, he did.
ISO is nearly irrelevant for me now due to topaz
And that's another consideration. DXO has some amazing denoise software as well that works great with XTrans files.
ISO is a made up WORD created by the International Organization of Standards and is pronounced ISO not I.S.O.
I've heard it both ways, with eyeso being the more modern version. Traditionally from the days of film it was I S O. Like when it was denoted as ASA/ISO. You said A S A - I S O, not Assah - eyeso. I think eyeso sounds stupid, but that's just my opinion...
