I personally did not like her a lot in the first season, but I like the show maker idea, that she got her red hair and scars after a big accident in the fight with Nilfguard, and it seems like she changed not only physically, but also mentally. She starts acting like a Triss that I am used to in-game series. Anna Shaffer made tremendous work to give her character that soft voice, a little bit naive, lighting, fulfilled with empathy, politeness, and delicate qualities that Triss has! It seems like she or show makers studied the game series as well. From the worst character in the first series to the one of the best on second! I see growth in actor work. She is fantastic!

This actress nailed it! She portrayed Triss as such a lady, but at the same time played her with such strength. It makes her an interesting foil to Yennefer’s more direct personality. Love how they showed a variety of personalities in this season.
And people need a reason why Triss is better (as a romantic interest) than Yen? Look at this. Normal conversations. Friendly jabs. Being sweet and kind without it being a big deal. No awkwardness or bullshit drama.
Don't forget actively trying to bang her Geralt knowing he's involved with her friend and not telling him her friend's alive. Those are my favorite quality of her :)

To be honest, The witcher game Triss Merigold is much more prettier than her live-action counterpart. I mean I don't blame the casting of her actress it's just that she doesn't fit the bill of her description when it comes to the lore. Hey did the princess he saved from the curse ever show back up in the series of books? Given the timeline it feels like a plot point that could easily come back as an adult, a generation or 2 later.

Well sense I haven't watched the show in full, but played all the games. Looks like they have Geralt pretty close with the casting. Ceri looks 'okay' (Bad hair dye job) Pretty close to the expected age of the game character. That brings along Triss and Yen. Sorry, the actresses are not believable in these rolls. Yen (in the other video I watched) looks far to young and a bit nerdy.. Triss? Is a fiery red head and not some meek little lamb. Also Triss (in the game) is a natural red head. (key word: Natural.) So the dye job is also pretty bad. I'm not sure if this would be a show that would be true enough to the source material for me to actually want to spend money on a subscription. We all know Geralt's history with both ladies. If the show follows with some of the "lore" of the games? Geralt would more resemble..well.. robbing the cradle comes to mind.

The hair color change definitely helped but the actress nails Triss' gentle spirit.

Well sense I haven't watched the show in full, but played all the games.
Looks like they have Geralt pretty close with the casting. Ceri looks 'okay' (Bad hair dye job) Pretty close to the expected age of the game character.
That brings along Triss and Yen. Sorry, the actresses are not believable in these rolls. Yen (in the other video I watched) looks far to young and a bit nerdy.. Triss? Is a fiery red head and not some meek little lamb. Also Triss (in the game) is a natural red head. (key word: Natural.) So the dye job is also pretty bad.
I'm not sure if this would be a show that would be true enough to the source material for me to actually want to spend money on a subscription. We all know Geralt's history with both ladies. If the show follows with some of the "lore" of the games? Geralt would more resemble..well.. robbing the cradle comes to mind.
Idk about young. In the books, Yen is described as keeping the appearance of a 21-year-old girl.
The source material are the books, not the games.
